“I was delighted to be able to subscribe rather than have to remember every month to battle to get a box. The £35 is significantly more expensive than other boxes I've tried. However when my first box arrived in November I was quite delighted. The concealer palette was just great and the cargo eyeshadows whilst not really my colour, made my 16 year old daughter's day. December's box I felt wasn't quite as good, but I'm still looking forward to January's. I've found that nothing is wasted, if it's not for me, it quickly gets tried out by my daughter and her friends. My only minor complaint is the lack of information card in this month's box, but that's not the end of the world.”

“I subscribed to Cohorted Beauty box for 2 months and I've recently cancelled my subscription. I feel that this subscription was more affordable for me at £20, rather than the £35 per month you have to pay now. Although most products are high-end quality choices, I have been unhappy with the selection. In the November box I received 2 nail polishes by Nails Inc. which were both very thin. A perfume sample. A face palette that didn't match my beauty profile (that I submitted on the website). A bare minerals product that has been (rightly) slated by other reviewers. An eyeshadow palette by Cargo Cosmetics. The only good product in there was the eyeshadow palette. In December's box I received yet another perfume sample, one unexceptional NARS product and one better NARS product, a MAC lipstick that I already own (not their fault, I know), and a blushing bronzer by Too Faced. The Too Faced product was the only thing I liked in that box. Paying £35 for the risk that I will only like 1-2 things in the box, I'd rather keep that money and spend it on make-up I actually want. That risk was only worth me taking when the box was £20. Another problem is that Cohorted's customer service is almost non-existent. I can't find a number to call, so I have to either email or tweet them. Either way, I never get a reply.”

“I have been subscribing to beauty boxes for a while now, and was looking to try and new subscription box when I stumbled across the cohorted website. At first I thought £35 was perhaps too much money to spend on one box, however when I received this months box (December) I was blown away with the products and the quality of them. At £35 it is a steal and is by far the best subscription box out there!”

“I love receiving cohorted beauty boxes as they contain fabulous items. I have cancelled my subscriptions to other beauty boxes as cohorted is far superior. The too faced blusher was amazing and gives a healthy glow. The Nars lipstick was ideal for me and the Nars brush is brilliant. The MAC lipstick is a beautiful colour for nights out and the perfume is breathtaking. Highly delighted as always”

“I did write a review before but felt the need to change the rating. I already had the white subscription but after seeing the sneak peek for the December box (two faced bronzer) I signed up the black box. My box was dispatched when they said it would be it arrived very quickly and the contents was just amazing.I new before hand you always paid a month ahead I signed up on the 30th nov was charged again on the 01st dec and will be charged again on the 01St of Jan before I recieve the January box little bit of a bummer but the actual contents I suspect to be in the box out weighs paying for 2 boxes before you recieve it”

“I have gotten two boxes so far: November and December and I have absolutely loved both of them. I cannot believe there are full sized high quality branded items in the boxes! It's such a nice way to try new items cheaply. And the delivery is very consistent in the UK.”

“After trying nearly all of the beauty box subscriptions on the market and being left eventually disappointed, I was delighted to find Cohorted. The black box is far more my style, with high end products that are instantly recognisable to any beauty lover. The products you receive far exceed the subscription fee, with the value of the goods never failing to be way above what you paid. As for the products themselves, I was really pleased with the presentation of the box and the items selected. Fantastic.”

“This is my first cohorted box and I was not disappointed. I've heard of a lot of hypes over the past few months but was never able to get hands on it because of the high demands. I am glad that I made it this time and the items in the boxes are to die for! I love the bronzer/blusher combo from too faced as well as rebel lipstick from Mac! It is truly worth £35.”

“This was my first box from Cohorted and I was disappointed that not all the items were delivered. I have emailed Customer Services twice but have had no response. It's such a shame as the contents I did receive were lovely and presented beautifully. I'm not too sure if I'll be carrying on with the subscription, I'll wait and see.”

“I was pleased with my first Cohorted box. Unfortunately the Nars brush was substituted with a Bare Minerals brush, and as much as I like BM, their brushes are not good so that was a personal disappointment. I thought a full size Mac lipstick was fantastic but again, and this is just a personal preference, it was not a colour that most people could carry off; it was far too dark for someone of my age. Having said that I will continue to subscribe for a few months; having seen previous boxes I am looking forward to receiving eyeshadow palettes etc....”

“I love my cohorted box and can't wait for it to arrive each month! It's more pricey than other subscription boxes but then you only have to look at the products you get and see why!!! I have got loads of luxury products I would never normally splurge out on but this is my treat each month and why not as a busy working mum!!!!!”

“I wanted to buy a specific foundation in a particular shade and emailed them beforehand to make sure they had it in stock. They replied quickly to my email saying yes it was, so I ordered 2 of them. Waited for over a week to receive my order, only to find they had sent me the wrong shade. Not only that but the shade I had ordered was out of stock all of a sudden on their website. I emailed them explaining the situation and how frustrated I was (they have no phone number). After two days of silence they sent me a refund via paypal and NEVER even bothered to reply to my email. Absolutely no explanation or apology whatsoever!!! Incredible behaviour. Worst customer service ever, of course will never buy from them again. I have now 2 foundations I don't need.”

“Paid for two beauty boxes and I still haven't received one I had a dispatched notice but nothing arrived in the post... Customer support is non existent I've emailed multiple times and nobody has replied to me. Pretty sure this whole website is a SCAM!”

“I've tried a few beauty boxes recently...there's a plethora on the market right now...with Cohorted being one of them, prior to their subscription option. (Often frustratingly failing to secure the much-sought-after boxes!) I was always delighted with those boxes I did manage to secure, so when the subscription offer went live, I was thrilled to bits. The boxes are well thought out with a carefully considered selection of items., some of them full size, others handy sample sizes...not so small that they wouldn't last a weekend away, but decent amounts to cover a few days away from home. I'm so impressed by these boxes, I've cancelled my subscriptions to those supplied by other companies. I'm impressed not only by the contents of the boxes, but also by the range of boxes. The fragrance box was wonderful. I love perfume (I have way too many!), and I not only have a full-size bottle to add to my collection, but some samples to try out too. I hope the high-quality content of these boxes continues...they really are incredible value for money. If you've been pondering whether or not to try a beauty box, then the ones offered by Cohorted are guaranteed to please.”

“I was looking forward to receiving the Cohorted fragrance box. I had thought a while before signing up for the subscription but having had their other boxes and enjoyed those, I took the chance. The white fragrance box echoes the black ones and is tied with a silky ribbon. A booklet inside tells of each of the four fragrances in the box. The main fragrance was a 100ml, bottle of Shalimar Parfum Initial L'Eau by Guerlain. The bottle looks sophisticated and the fragrance fit my taste as it as a floral scent. (at least to me it was :)) The remaining three fragrances were smaller, sample sized but a good way to "test drive" fragrances. My favourite from the box was the Versace, Crystal Noir sample. This fragrance is floral and delicate but not insipid. The second miniature fragrance was the Boucheron, Place Vendome. This is a light, woody fragrance. The last sample is a small vial by Annick Goutal, Paris. Gardenia Passion is a strong scent that smells to me like daffodils, lilies and jasmine. Overall, I'm pleased with this box, it will be interesting to receive the rest of my subscription. (On an admin note, there was some confusion regarding when payment is taken and which box it referred to, but an email from Cohorted was sent to clarify this issue. It does seem unnecessarily complicated.)”
