“This was my first order and I chose the Mystery Meat box, with a couple of packs of burgers to satisfy my son! I was in when the order arrived and opened the box immediately to find the burgers had defrosted, very disappointed as the site info stated that the packaging would prevent this from happening (for a few hours after delivery too).”

“It tastes fresh but it released a lot of water when I went to cook it. Much more than i ever would expect which meant it wasn't as enjoyable to eat as that affected cooking process.”

“Well packaged but I’m now left with a load of stuff to get rid of. The gel is hard to empty out of the ice bags. Sadly for me the chicken broth soups were inedible- way too much onion in it - it was like onion broth & the veg in it was tasteless cubes of what looked like turnip. I think it’s probably a great site for big meat eaters to buy in bulk for a month but I won’t be back sorry.”

“What does it mean when you label a product Organic. Exactly what is organic meat? Does it mean the animals were grass fed? Not fed grains? It’s brutally confusing.”

“Ordered Lambs Liver & Oxtail Liver was fine Not cooked the Oxtail yet Main voncern was the amount of packaging for a relatively small order. Although I've recycled the ice pack & cardboard I'm not convinced it needed so much”

“my order was delivered to the rental house next door - despite careful written instructions with delivery info and despite me purposely being at home to receive it. Didnt to knock to alert that it had been delivered. Compalined to courier who gave me a time slot to call me to take the matter further - but they didnt call me. Unknown to myself the box was sitting in my neighbours drive hidden by a car. Although it was about 4 hours later when I found it the bone broth and one of the packets of mince was starting to defrost. Not very confident about placing another order if you are continuing to use DPD as it seems they are more interested in offloading the packages as quickly as possible and moving on. denise sands”

“Really sorry but found the sausages very meaty and spicy but edible, the bacon was not nice at all and got binned once cooked as had a funny smell. Not ate the other goods yet hopefully better. Was well packaged.”

“DPD took. 3 days to deliver by which time the meat had defrosted.Suggest a different delivery Meat was very good but had to use it within a few days”

“Acceptable but not great. Would rather delivered fresh than frozen; items were starting to defrost. Sausages not good rest of the meat was fine but expensive for what there was. I will not be making another order.”

Thank you for your feedback, our business model is to send frozen meat as this means there is a lot less food wasted. We are working on new packaging to reduce any defrost issues we were experiencing. Sorry to hear you did not like your sausages I will pass this information onto our butchery manager.

“We ordered £100 worth meat to avoid delivery charge. Delicious beef and pork with firm texture&full of flavour! However they came frozen and much more expensive for what you get compared to other meat delivery companies.”
