“Your venison was the best l’d ever tasted. Absolutely gorgeous.Flavoursome and tender with almost no gristle. Kipper, Bacon and ham were all too salty for my taste and the bacon didn’t cook that nicely ie didn’t go crisp without blackening- perhaps that’s what comes of going nitrate free. The pigeon was an experiment which I won’t repeat given the smell when cooking! Actual breast was tender though.”

“While taste, texture and purity of the meat was great, for me personally I like to trim and gristle tendons, fat and/or bone from the cut. Once I'd done all that on the 250g pack you sent, left me with less than 200g of meat. So for a family of three that tries to stick to around 300g portion for all of three of us per meal(100g each), meant that one of us had to miss out as there simple wasn't enough meat. On hindsight maybe we should have ordered two packs. But realistically we won't be ordering venison again, purely based on the amount of wastage than none of us eats, wants or can use.”

“The goose itself was delicious but through no fault of yours wasnt big enough for the numbers eating it. As this was our Xmas present to hosts, this was doubly unfortunate. Thank you for the £10 refund but Id have preferred not to have to ring you etc and that you'd just offered a refund rather than a (useless) turkey leg etc.”

“Delivered on time. Lots and lots of frozen water in bags at least 15. Had to cut open and leave water to defrost in sink. Took ages and too much plastic”

“I placed an order and never ended up getting it so I had to call the team to arrange a new delivery. The delivery then came on time however it was hard to get a hold of them at first. The product itself is very good though.”

“Delivered exactly when expected. However, despite what seemed to be excellent packaging, everything except the joint of meat had mostly defrosted. That meant we had to eat it immediately instead of keeping it. Also, the ham is decidedly average. Definitely not worth the price.”

“VARIABLE QUALITY from one piece of meat e.g. chicken breasts - one sinewy and tough to another cooked at the same time in the same way, which is tender as they should be. Clearly they are coming from different suppliers? Ditto lamb saddle and chops Overall unreliable quality. ALSO MEAT ARRIVE E.G. CHICKEN BREASTS NR TOP OF BOX AND LAMB CHOPS, PARTIALLY DEFROSTED WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE - DELIVERY TOO LATE IN DAY IF WEATHER MILD.”

“Food very good quality but delivery process lets you down, some items from box were not frozen on receipt so couldn’t be out to freezer and had to expedite usage so as not to waste (bacon and burgers) also cardboard box was sodden wet from condensation from cool packs (some of which had fully melted)”

“Never received my total order at first and was very disappointed that I was twice let down on the rest of the delivery order by having been damaged through the process of getting it to me. Hope that this occasion was just a one-off.”
