“I ordered a playset from Costco on May 7th. The playset arrived on May 12th in the evening so we waited until the next day to open it so we could put it together. On May 13th, upon opening it, I realized it had been damaged in transit and called to request placement parts. It is now June 21st and we still do not have replacement parts for the 11 pieces that were damaged. I have called every other day to get information on when my parts would be shipped. Nothing. I have received 3 emails total: May 15th, May 31st, and June 1st. I've spoken to ONE supervisor. Each customer service representative told me they would contact someone but no one EVER contacted me back. I was always pushed to the back burner and I'm tired of it. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM THEM ONLINE!! If anything is wrong it will take weeks or MONTHS for them to rectify the situation... if they fix it AT ALL. This was meant to be a birthday present for my kids since we couldn't have a birthday party this year due to the pandemic. My kids are extremely disappointed, which makes me more mad. Don't do business with Costco Online orders... unless you like to be ignored and not have the product you paid (over $1500) for.”
“I wanted to try costco because i heard alot of good things about it. We go to sign up for a membership, i think its rediculous that u can only use a visa card to shop there. I know y’all have alot of customers but you lost a potential and everyone i talk to about this. I will stay with sams club since they dont care how you pay for your goods.”
“Costco makes customers wear masks in 102-106 degree weather in Southern Utah. We are coming out of the pandemic with many public services opening up, no masks required. I will not shop there anymore, because I like to breathe.

“Placed an order on 5/9 and was scheduled for delivery. Cancelled and rescheduled 3 times at this point. Apparently Costco doesn't care that this is for 4 appliances that are needed especially during the current situation. Can't get someone to give me a reason and was just told it will take 3-5 days to get a resolution team member to call me back. Totally unacceptable. Plan on cancelling my executive membership when and if I get a return phone call. Not worth all this hassle to get what I already paid for.”

“Terrible customer service at check out. I put my Costco citi card & then started unloading items from my cart on the conveyor belt. This guy who was supposed to be helping me unload the items comes & rudely tells me to go behind the counter with my card. Almost like scolding to some little kid.. Wow!! I did & stood there behind the glass counter waiting for the cashier to hand over/show my card. The shopper who was ahead of me leaves & I continue to stand behind the glass counter when the cashier started scanning my items that I had unloaded earlier. Meanwhile this rude guy tells the cashier to tell me to unload all the small items while he just hangs out there doing nothing. I unloaded all everything from my top cart one by one & some from the bottom (all just groceries except one cleaning item I had today). I was embarrassed & furious at the way he treated me. He didn't even ask me if I wanted any box & made no eye contact. After he finished putting all the items on my cart, he hardly pushed out my cart & just turned around. My total bill today was almost $300. I don’t know why he was so grumpy, mad, unpleasant & rude to me. It was only around 11 in the morning & he can’t be exhausted already. I looked to see his name tag & ofcourse it was flipped around but I managed to see it. He was TONY. Unacceptable behavior & I will always avoid him in the future. He needs some training for sure on how to behave while at work. The cashier lady was nice.”
“I will be going to my local store in Rockwall, TX, to request that my annual Gold Star membership cost be refunded. I paid to shop in your store and as of today, May 4, 2020, you have mandated that I MUST wear a mask or face covering in order to shop in the store. I look at this mandate as a violation of my civil liberties, granted and guaranteed by our Constitution. As such until this requirement is lifted I will not be able to patronize your establishments. I paid to shop there, and this should be a decision I make, not one you mandate. I didn't pay you to tell me how to live my life.”
“Been an Executive member for 18 years and my level of disappointment and dissatisfaction with Costco is the worst I've had with any retailer as a consumer. I will reduce my membership level to Gold status only to maintain status for remaining product warranties and will cancel once they age out. They've lost the competitive advantage of my you need a membership especially an Executive member and while they still have some value, it's time to move on. Amazon and Sam's will receive my company and personal business moving forward.”
“Very bad experience
Since I am not feeling well, I had to send my son to the Costco with my membership card. The lady at the counter, she was not letting my son to use the membership card, both my son and I have the same last name., still she made such a big deal and acting like she owns the store. And she did not scan a bunch of banana and at the exit, they stopped him as if he stole a bunch of banana worth $1.99, and he had to go back to the line. This lady was so rude and arrogant, very first time I have this very bad experience from Costco at sugar and, Texas. Always I thought their customer service is great! Such a shame. I called the store to complain about this incident and whoever on the other end, didn't even apologize for their mistake.
I am from Sugarland, Texas. I spent a lot of money in Costco every year shopping. I should stop going to this place, where they don't take care of their members.
There should be a consistency when these people let others use the membership card. I knew many people use friends/neighbors' membership cards. I sent my son with my card, not any friends or neighbors. I hope and pray no one gets this kind of customer service. I am heartbroken from how my son got treated.”
“I purchased grocery from Costco.com using InstaCart. I purchased for $172 and the receipt showed $130 from Costco. Another purchase made for $138 and receipt showed $106. Both these deliveries I got after 5 Days. Only then I realized that I was paying almost 30% delivery charges to InstaCart. On top of that I will not get the 2% cash back from Costco. So I am paying around 32% delivery charges to InstaCart. This is outrageous fee when compared to using InstaCart from Kroger. Since I am not getting the 2% Cash back, I am not going to renew my Costco Membership for $120. I am not rich enough to pay 32% delivery changes and $120 annual membership Card. Kroger is much more cheaper.”
“I placed an order on Costco.com. Before completing I changed the Ship to address. Website even suggested the address with the extra 4 digit zip code. When I received the confirmation the Ship-to address was the old address. I immediately went back to my order and tried to change it within a minute or 2. There were no options to change or cancel. I went to their help where it "says" you can change it within 60 minutes of placing. I even had my husband try to see if I was missing a button or something that would allow me to change or cancel and there was nothing.
I called their customer service line, where you hear 4 separate messages to finally hear that due to the volume of calls they are unable to take my call at this time. I went back to their website and tried the on-line chat. Waited for an hour to get someone who told me they would send a message to their "problem resolution" department and have the order cancelled. I expressed my concern that it would not get cancelled in time. I was told that because deliveries are taking 14 days there would not be a problem. Still concerned I tried to call their customer support 4 more times with the same result.
The next day some of my items shipped. I again called Customer Support, and again message after message and no answer. The only option is online chat and these people cannot do anything to help you. I again waited an hour to have someone tell me "I do see a note that you requested to cancel and it was requested" followed by "I do see some of the items have shipped . . . the resolution team is watching that the items get returned to the sender". To which I asked if they will attempt to deliver because if they do, it will get accepted. Her answer: I don't think they will attempt delivery because a cancellation request was put through. Not a lot of confidence here. . .
I also asked if there was another phone number I could call and actually talk to someone who can make sure the balance of the order does not ship. She gave me the same number I called, told me to have a nice day and disconnected.
Note: while I was waiting the hour to talk to someone online I logged into UPS to see if I could change the delivery address from there as I have signed up to be able to do this where the sender allows it. COSTCO does not allow this, so my only option is to rely on them to make sure it does not get delivered.
Yeah I know you can see where this is going . . . Packages delivered to a location I cannot get to. Keep in mind only the most EXPENSIVE items shipped.
So my suggestion to anyone out there that does not want to wait 14 days to get delivery from Costco, try to cancel your order, it will ship right away.”
“Went to Costco on NE San Jose warehouse to pick up a battery for my 2017 Honda Accord this morning (04/23/2020 around 10:30 am) Asked the associate so I can pick up the right battery for the car. He said that his computer system wont be able to do it, I have to use my smartphone to find out myself. So I just left and bought it from somewhere else. Not sure what the associate is there for? What a service. (My phone was out of battery at the time. He said nothing he can do come back when its charge)

“Costco is a great store. It offers a wide range of products. It's the management. I am 69 years old. I shouldn't be told when I can shop. It makes no sense for elderly people to shop at 7 a.m. I have Arthritis and it takes me awhile to get going. I workout daily. This is what you should do. Allow elders and first responders to go in first ahead of the line at all times. You will get old maybe, some don't make it and you will then understand.
