“Very disappointed with Costco’s online shopping. I’ve had two orders canceled for no valid reason — it wasn’t a card issue, it was on their side. Every time I try to reorder, one of the items is suddenly unavailable. Their only response: "try again."
On top of that, they hold your money, and I’ve had to wait several days to get my payment released. Poor service and no real solutions. I won’t be ordering online from Costco again.”

“I am not a Costco member. I ordered two chairs that were on sale during MA tax free weekend and paid the non member surcharge. I received a confirmation email immediately. . Two days later my ordered was canceled by a second email.
I called them. An expired Costco member number was somehow attached to my order. And even though I paid the non member surcharge, their computer system canceled my order because of this.After 40 minutes on the phone, they said if I reordered they would refund the additional amount I would now have to pay if I called them after delivery of the chairs. They offered me a $20 card for a future item for the inconvenience.
The woman on the phone was very nice, but I did not want to have to call again and waste more time to get my money back. I will shop somewhere else.”

“Costco’s delivery and installation service was a complete disaster. Calling it an 'installation service' is flat-out deceptive—they're just delivery guys with zero training or knowledge of the products. It felt more like a careless drop-off than any kind of professional setup. The customer service was equally awful—rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. This was by far the worst experience I’ve had buying an appliance. I strongly urge others to avoid purchasing appliances from Costco. Spend a little more at Lowe’s or Home Depot—you’ll save yourself a lot of frustration.”

“Arrived a little before 10am and was told early opening was for exclusive members only. I was turned away without even any grace period. I have been a loyal Costco member for over 30 years. I may need to rethink renewing my membership all together.”
“Turned away at the front door due to being 15 minutes early and only allowing EXECUTIVE members from 9-10 am. Considering you have to pay a membership fee annually, you should be able to shop whenever you want too. Absolutely ridiculous and not good for business. I left Costco feeling upset and disappointed. I had created and paid for my membership through the app, but when I got to the store, they wouldn’t let me in because the payment showed as “pending.”
The customer service rep, Jasmin, claimed she had refunded me two days ago so I could be charged again—but I never received a refund. She said if she charged me again, I’d have to come back in person just to get a refund for the second charge, which made no sense at all.
On top of that, her attitude was rude and unprofessional. She spoke to me with an ugly tone in front of other customers, which was embarrassing and unnecessary.
I canceled my Sam’s Club membership to give Costco a try, but after this experience—I’ll never go back to Costco again.”
“I am a Costco Customer and belong to Costco 32 years and ordered tires more than 10 times this time they did it. They’re making me wait so long for weeks. I’ve had multiple poor customer service experiences at this location, specifically involving a clerk named Nayely. Most recently, I attempted to return an unopened item and clearly requested that the refund be placed on a Costco Shop Card. Despite my request, Nayely processed the return to a bank card I told her was not functioning. When I brought it up immediately, she involved a supervisor, but I was told it was too late to reverse the transaction.
This is not the first time Nayely has been careless during a return. She rarely takes accountability for mistakes and consistently refuses to accommodate simple requests like issuing a refund to a Shop Card. It’s disappointing and frustrating to deal with someone who lacks attention to detail and dismisses customer concerns.
Because of these repeated issues, I now try to avoid being helped by Nayely altogether, which is unfortunate because it affects how I feel about shopping at this location overall. I hope management provides additional training or oversight to ensure better service and attentiveness to customer preferences.”
“It’s impossible to order something online. Went to the store and they weren’t able to login themselves. Called for customer support and nobody was able to assist with the order. I applied for membership and credit card exclusively to order my flooring since they are available only online. What a waste.”
“I simply tried to figure out when an item would be restocked. They stated, that if they knew when something would be restocked that it would be unfair to the customer. Floored at the lack of response. When I asked for their corporate office....they sent me a page where I had to snail mail a letter to them for a simple restocking question. Costco is no longer my favorite store for multiple reasons but this is just another example of their new absurd ways of dealing business with their members.”

“I was in Costco Sepulveda in Van Nuys checking out with my son. One of the item has no bar code and they ask us to finish the checking out without the item with no bar code. The personnel had told us to wait for a few minutes as somebdy will get the item with a bar code. The wait was 14 mins which I was asking in between if somebody was taking care of it. The personnel, especially the supervisor on duty was very rude in responding to an irritated customer. It was already passed 8pm and I have not eaten dinner yet so we have to eat the popsicle as we are already hungry and I am worried that my popsicle will melt. So sad a personnel like that can not pacify customer complaints.”
