I went shopping with my daughter who has a membership, she wanted to pay and make 2 transactions and rudely an employee approached us and told us that we couldn't do it and that we should buy another membership if we wanted to make 2 transactions. We spoke in Spanish and also in English and when he heard us speaking in Spanish he told us "you are talking bad about me, I am going to need a translator to know what you are saying about me," he said sarcastically and he became so rude, he was a white man, I felt offended and discriminated against! “I paid nearly $1000 for a pool from Costco. this over 350 pound pool was supposed to come in two boxes. I received only one box clearly marked two of two. I called and was kept on the phone for over an hour. They then charged my account for the product will not give me my money back until this 250 pound box is returned to Costco and will not pick up the box for three days. “We ordered a new refrigerator from Costco. They set their delivery window between 2pm to 4pm. It was half past 4pm, and there was a no call, no show. We contacted customer service, and they did apologize, but then made us feel like WE were the inconvenience. My pregnant wife spent all day at home with 2 children, cleaning out the old fridge in preparation for the Costco delivery window. I left work early to be home in time for the delivery. Needless to type, we canceled our order, and will not be renewing our membership. We have been long-term customers with Costco. We hold the top membership, and do a lot of business with them. We will spend our hard earned money with someone else who cares.”
“My Review for Denby Studio Blue Serving Set, 3-piece price adjustment
The product has been for a long time priced at $ 149.97. Recently a note has been added that the item has been previously sold at $ 149.97. Upon noticing, I decided to call and point to the error in pricing, assuming that the current price has to be lower than previously posted $ 149.9. I was told they would look into that and so they did-they changed from the original price of 149.97 to much higher of 239.99 to "justify" and keep the one they posted with a misleading note saying that the item was previously sold at a higher price. What a shame
The product has not been listed at the higher price before to my knowledge, what a shame. That added to my observations from before: lower quality of produce, lower quality of many products and now price adjustments. What also ponders me is the difficulty to post any reviews on their website, especially when it is not positive and I read that I am not the only one experiencing such difficulties.”

“We live 40 minutes from the nearest Costco store. I just went to Costco with my mother’s membership card to get bottled water for her. I have been doing this for some time, because my mom is almost 90 and can’t lift the water by herself. I was rudely turned away at the door because my mom wasn’t with me at the time. “I purchase 2 packages of ground beef 1 was $26.81 the other was $27.39 I called and was told if I could not return it today ( same day purchased). Freeze it till next time I come in. I have. Small fridge & freezer live 45 min away so it’s garbage. Will never buy there will switch to Sam’s club.”

This is the new strategy Costco is using to avoid returns. I pay $65 a year for that return/customer satisfaction guarantee privilege.
They are not the cheapest store to shop at anymore. As far as produce and food, Kroger and Winco stores have the best prices.
I shop at those 2 stores for groceries and produce, and they have a wider selection than Costco, AND I don't have to buy huge quantities of an item.
(For example, I don't have to buy $40 worth of fish when I can just buy one at same unit price, since I am single, and I can't eat the entire quantity then I have to freeze them which has no room). Here's what you do if you experience the same thing and run into issues with returning at Costco:
(1) Just remind them that you pay $65 (or more) annual membership for the privilege of returning if not satisfied.

“I have membership forever with Costco, and have been ordering online and in store all the time, my last online purchase was disappointing, I have decided to order my appliances online thinking that the installation is included and will save time and money, didn't imagine that the whole process will turn out in so bad way, my order for the 3 items have been placed on October 16th, and scheduled for delivery and installation on the 24th, well, o the 24th I have received 2 items, one was installed and one was staying in the box because Costco didn't save my schedule for the 24th, so I called again and asking to reschedule, this time was for 10/30, well the 3rd item still didn't arrived to be installed on the 30th, so I called again and the customer services told me I need to reschedule, so the next app was set for 11/5, this time I was hopping will be the last, guest what, on Sunday the 11/3 I got a text that my item can't be deliver and installed on the 5th and will be on the 6th, here I am again, I called the customer services again for confirmation that both delivery and installation will be on the 11/6, all this time my kitchen was a mess, waiting for my items to be delivered and install, so disappointed, don't waste your money think twice before ordering from Costco, and read the reviews, do your homework, before placing an order.”

But since they decided to make the process more stringent, get ready to loose money. People are not going to be forced on paying for a membership when they could use a family member's card. If you don't change it you will loose a lot of money. Already we can see by the reviews that people are not happy with your Service. Also the people you have working there are very rude in trying to enforce the nonsensical policies implemented by the Company.
