Beautifully packaged. The pot sizes are generous but with very small plants in them which makes this an incredibly expensive place to shop. The clematis was the only plant of decent size.

I would have given no stars for this company if it had been an option. I bought 3 dormant canna roots from Crocus in February at £7 each. It was clear when only one started to shoot last week (May) that the other two were dead on arrival even though all three were kept in identical conditions indoors. I am an experienced gardener who knows how to follow instructions so the roots were stored in perfect conditions. One of the roots was tiny so I am not surprised it failed. When I complained to Crocus they said that their bulbs/corms/rhizomes were not covered by their warranty. I have therefore wasted £14 of the £21 I spent (plus the p&p). I don’t know how they can get away with this sort of unacceptable service. They said if I had a problem I should have complained within 14 days but how is that possible in February when canna roots are dormant anyway. I will never buy from Crocus again because of their appalling customer service. Sarah Raven is more expensive but her warranty covers all her plants.

My story is very similar to the ones below. I spent £440 on plants only to discover on delivery that in some cases I'd received nothing more than pots of compost and in others some very poor growth of shoots. The value of the substandard plants is around £125. It makes me cross that a company could take advantage of the online consumer in this way. I purposely chose a private retailer instead of one of the big chains because i wanted to support an independent business ; my mistake. I have to wait 15 days for them to decide whether they have sent substandard plants or not. I have spoken to customer services on several occasions but I'm told they are unable to help. The more I think about my situation the more i realise that I have been a victim of theft. I have reported them to trading standards.

I use John Lewis for plants household goods and Waitrose for groceries, confident as they have never mis -sold or let me down. However, recently having ordered plants which arrived yesterday I was shocked at the four wisps of foliage in for small pots plus one pot with bare earth, if they were presented as a give away at my local Nursery no one would pick them up. It was then I realised they had been supplied by Crocus! that explains it all! Crocus had packaged their rubbish well but they are a no stars provider of plants.

until now, good quality plants, well packaged. I had spent a lot of money with them. Last order though there was a problem - two pots with nothing but compost, rest of order fine. Now any company as problems sometimes but the response -from email and phone call - has been nothing. Apparently they take 15 days to respond. Not good enough. Good are not cheap either.

Business model is to get your money and run. Customer service radio silence. I ordered two hellebores on 7 March, and was quoted 2 weeks lead time for both plants. 2 weeks came and went, total silence. I called customer service who told me there had been an issue with poor quality of the stock of one of the two plants, which was delaying both of them, but I could get the other one earlier in a separate delivery. Thanks for the option - would it have killed them to be proactive and let me know there was a delay? So plant 1 arrives a week after the call - plainly the wrong variety: I ordered a pink speckled and got some dark dusky variety instead. Contact customer services straight away, they say send email with pictures, which I did the same day. Again silence. Another week passed, I get the second plant. Not sure if it's the variety I ordered - a picotee - but it looks nothing like on the website and the colours on online searches. Write again to customer service. Nothing. Call them - they say the plant doctor needs to take a look before they can refund me. Nothing happens, we're at 22 April. I call again, a threat to report them to the regulators and write bad reviews on every website I can find gets them to refund me straight away for the pink speckled, which even a colour blind person could have told was not the right plant. Thank you for the refund, but if it was so easy why didn't you process it straight away? Still, the plant doctor needs to take a look at the other plant. I think the plant doctor must be on extended leave, because we're at the 5 May and I still haven't had a refund for the second plant. And in any case, doctor or no doctor, it is in my right to get a refund for an online purchase where the product looks nothing like what advertised. Had I seen it in person I wouldn't have bought it and that's all that matters. On Google reviews the owner always replies to bad reviews advising to contact the customer service. It's time the owner stops copy pasting the same reply and tells customer services to start dealing with requests

Despite 4 emails and 1 unhelpful phone call, I hadn’t received a response after one month of trying to nurture very sad looking plants. The plants arrived in a box without any paperwork at all. Luckily I knew not to put them in the ground until frost free. These were a gift, so even more disappointing. In the end I wrote an old fashioned letter to a senior Director. This was over a week ago and I haven’t heard a thing. Clearly this company don’t care about customer satisfaction or wish engage with those of who’ve bought their plants in good faith. Their plants are not fit for purpose, neither is “Customer Service”. Never again Crocus!

Do not use this company. Failed deliveries and unhelpful and rude customer service representatives. Totally disinterested in helping their customers and refused to allow me to speak to a supervisor or manager.

Spent £147 for Garden on a Roll. Received small plants and no roll so no instructions as to where to place the. Which is the whole idea of this. Despite emailing I got ZERO RESPONSE. Don’t waste your time and money.

I ordered a bunch of quite expensive bulbs including saffron in late 2020. The bulbs arrived packaged and labeled as per my order however, most of the bulbs have turned out to be daffodils and a few common crocuses in between. I emailed explaining the disappointment in paying a lot of money and spending even more time planting them in the middle of winter asking for a resolution and no one has bothered to respond.

I am very disappointed in Crocus. I ordered some plants, including a very expensive Hellebore. When my box came, the Hellebore was badly damaged. I took a photo and complained to Customer Services. They told me I would get a response within 7 working days. On the 8th day I contacted them again - only to get another response telling me I would get an answer within 10 days. Is this a joke, Crocus? If so, I am not laughing.

Advertise items as in stock when they are not. One you order and pay it just changes to awaiting stock.

Do not use this company if you want anything delivered for a special occasion. My Mother's Day gift for my elderly mother was not delivered on time despite being ordered in February and with named day delivery. The customer service was disgraceful.

The poor review is mainly for delivery. On Saturday I got an email saying the package would be delivered within 3 working days. Mon, Tues, Wed went by, no package. Messaged crocus on Thursday enquiring. On Friday the shop below me told me they had my live plants. They'd been sat boxed up in the front entrance of a shop next door to me for 2 days before being passed to them. Why on earth would you leave a parcel with a random neighbour who I havnt given permission for it to be left with?? And why didn't I get told it was there? And why wouldn't the delivery service tell me on the day it's coming that it's coming? Its live plants for god sake! You need a much better delivery system.

Just taken delivery of a "specimen" Abelia grandiflora (advertised as 0.5~0.8m). I'd had poor experiences buying shrubs online, so decided to pay the higher price that seems to be typical of Crocus' products, thinking (mistakenly) that they were a reliable supplier. I'm embarrassed to say that I was stupid enough to pay them £69.99 plus delivery for this "specimen". The shrub arrived (via Yodel, be warned) and is 0.28m high (yes, barely half the minimum height advertised). It's an OK plant and I will use it, despite a huge grievance with Crocus, as time is too precious to mess about returning it (the box in which it came had to be destroyed to remove it, so I'd have to find some other container). I called Crocus to complain that the size was significantly not as advertised. The guy that answered confirmed that the measurement shown on their website was indeed for height but, believe or not, REFUSED to accept that it should not include tjhe height of the pot!!! A 12 litre pot in this case. I said you're joking right? Apparently not. When I asked for a part refund to reflect the actual size of the shrub I was given the "well our t&cs require that you send a photo blah blah blah". I told the clown that I wasn't prepared to waste my time on returning it and offered him a choice of either offering a part refund or I would happily leave a review. He refused to offer anything and so here it is. Make of it what you will. I was stupid enough to pay their ridiculous prices once but NEVER AGAIN.
