I recently spent £100 on bulbs (tulips, daffodils and irises). I would say about half of them were mouldy. They would have seen that when they sent them to me. Added to this I spent about £150 in the spring and like others waited a very long time for the delivery. When they did arrive they were terrible quality and tiny. To be honest I’m not sure why I went back to buy bulbs but crocus had been good up until the order in the spring so I gave them the benefit of the doubt, wish I hadn’t. Anyway, I won’t be using them again now.

Bought single plant for £17.99 which arrived packed well enough however once opened I was extremely disappointed. Just a few green leaves, most of which are floppy, waste of money. Contacted customer service and was asked to send photo which I have but have not heard anything since.

I recieved 3 plants and a garden solar light. They initially took a while to arrive as it was the beginning of the Corona crisis but this was made clear to me. Unfortunately, the lights were faulty but the company sent a second set of lights as a replacement immediately.

So disappointed - spent £130 and after waiting nearly 5 weeks I received nothing like £130 worth of plants. Supposedly 2litre plants were TINY. I could have ordered small 9cm plants for half the price but chose to buy bigger for more instant impact in flowerbeds. Very overpriced for sad little plants!

Bought plants via RHS. Spent £178 quid. Plants are ok. Tiny. Absolutely tiny. Basically tiny cuttings. Overpriced +++. Company’s like this give other online retailers a bad name.

It took 5 weeks for Crocus to fulfil an order placed on 30 April. The order confirmation advised a 3-week delay which was fine in the circumstances. However, Crocus failed to keep me updated. I contacted customer services by email and they were slow to respond and failed to answer basic questions. They just sent the same email with with no useful information. When Crocus emailed to say the order was on it's way they failed to include any details about the courier service so I had no idea what day/time it would turn up. Really unhelpful. Crocus refused to offer a discount to compensate for the additional delay and poor customer service. On the plus side, when the the order finally arrived it included everything and the plants were in good condition. They were very quick to take my money and very slow to deliver. I spent a lot of money - it is an expensive online garden centre - and at one point I was worried I'd fallen for some kind of elaborate online scam/fraud. I won't be shopping at Crocus again.

Covid - 19 is no excuse for appalling management.I have waited 5 weeks for my plants, yesterday I was informed they had been dispatched,no info who was delivering,or offer of text, email or tracking.the only info was that they would be delivered over the next 3 days between 8am & 8pm !! I am now trapped at home waiting.Cross fingers they are not dead like some peoples. Obviously overwhelmed, but should have called a halt to people ordering if unable to give a decent service

Spent a lot of money on 10th April - and still nothing except apology e-mails. The reason I bought them was to support garden suppliers who supposedly had excess stock while garden centres closed - seemed the perfect solution. They had stock - I couldn't leave the house. Obviously not. Also the website said they were limiting orders per day to be able to manage them - Ha!! Obviously not. I should have hung on and gone to the garden centre - or B&Q. I hope when they finally arrive they are better than some on here describe - as they will be SO late going into the pots. Very disappointing.

Ordered over £150 of plants from here - in the middle of March - now 1st June and still no delivery - no one answering the phone - standard automated replied to my emails enquiring as to status if my order - Accept that the Covid May have caused some issues BUT this is absolutely disgusting and advise all potential customers to steer well clear - it’s obviously a “con” and have been taken advantage of - But the most appalling thing is they take your money immediately you place an order - if I could use “nil stars” I most certainly would - be warned as they are not a reputable company ! Despite their very appealing web site and promising!!!!

Still haven’t received an order which was placed on 29 April. Some delays at this time are expected and reasonable but there just hasn’t been any communication and when I did get a response it was a clearly a copy and pastE email. This is an already online garden centre which should have been easily adaptable to the current circumstances but it’s the lack of communication which is disappointing and they should stop taking orders all together if they are in this much of a mess.

I have been waiting 3 weeks for a delivery of pots had no reply to my e-mails and have just received a standard notification telling me they are now dealing with orders dated 30th April that means another 2 weeks minimum to wait yet they have the cheek to take your money at the date of the order don't deal with this company how desperate you are

Crocus, Covid19 and Customer Care: I have given this Company one star owing to their appalling customer care and lack of human kindness during this trying time when people are losing their jobs. I ordered some bedding plants in April, the total cost of which was immediately taken from me. I knew there would be a delay of at least six weeks before the order would arrive and reluctantly accepted this. After all we're all trying to exist in difficult times aren't we. However on 24th April following unexpected financial difficulties arising from the Covid19 fallout and through no fault on my own, I sadly decided to cancel my order requesting a much needed refund. Given that Crocus customers are expected to be tolerant and sympathetic to the current delivery delays, it never crossed my mind that my unfortunate circumstances would be met other than sympathetically. But no! Instead I was promptly told I could not cancel my order because 'suppliers have said they will not fulfill any requests to amendments or cancellations due to the sheer volume and how busy they are'. I was dumbfounded. I was hardly requesting bespoke furniture and how come Crocus use a supplier anyway? I appealed to Crocus three times about this but they have refused to show any kindness or understanding, just complete indifference and choosing to blame their supplier. It's now 29th May, and needless to say I still haven't received my order and Crocus have had my money for just on six weeks. Well Crocus, whilst I've purchased products from you in the past, never ever again!!!. Such callous and selfish treatment from you. To all the future customers out there, I would recommend you find a more understanding supplier.

I was a regular Crocus customer and I'm a keen gardener. I have previously found the products to be pretty good albeit quite expensive. I placed an order on 6 April for some compost, a pot and some hanging basket plug plants. The order did not arrive until 20 May despite me following up several times via email and being given no certainty on the delivery date. It was only on 14 May that I was informed my hanging basket plug plants would never arrive and this element of the order was cancelled. Unfortunately it is now much more expensive to buy hanging basket plants which have been potted on since Spring. Additionally my sweetpeas which I'd grown from seed have all long since died without the compost and pot I needed to plant them in. I explained this to Crocus and asked for a goodwill gesture (for example a discount on this order or some replacement sweetpeas or hanging basket plants). All they would offer me was £5.99 free delivery off my next order. Despite me saying I was minded not to shop with them again, they have responded saying "We do not usually offer compensation so we can only offer you the voucher as suggested" and refused to offer any additional compensation (e.g. they wouldn't even discount me on the delivery charge for this order). I think this is extraordinarily bad customer service and wholly disappointing. I am a very loyal customer and I don't generally complain but I will never shop with Crocus again as they clearly don't value my custom. For me I like shopping with companies who care about their customers even if it means paying a little more (as you do with Crocus as they are not cheap).

Advised 3 weeks delivery when ordering ( 17th April) now two weeks "late". They don't answer phones and just advised it's a 5 day delay to look at emails. Other on line companies (plant suppliers) are meeting their 3 week target.

We spent over £100 pounds on bedding plants for my father & I as the coronavirus meant garden centres not open. When items arrived months later they were poor quality and tiny plants. Very disappointed

After waiting patiently for our new border plants for our front garden, huge disappointment with the £150 worth of plants that arrived yesterday, many are going to be too weak to plant out. We are really sad. Therefore we went to B & Q and bought the same plants - half the price, twice the size and all alive. Not at all what we had expected, very poor quality and over priced.

Where do I start? The plants I did get have all died 7 of them in total, sent an email with pictures to be told we are not covered because they are not fully Harding? What does that even mean? The rest of my order which is from April has still not arrived and after a phone call, we have been told another 2 weeks wait. I am now anxious about how long these will survive. Very very disappointing. They had such great reviews in the past and now rather than just be honest with people or refund people, they are choosing to ignore and sweep under the carpet. Remember the COVID 19 will settle down soon enough, but your reviews and reputation will stick. It really is just greed

I cannot believe I spent £48 on 4 measly specimens! I was expecting large plants as suggested by the specified pot size. They have just arrived and would be a tenth of the price in B&Q! Do Not Touch with a Bargepole. Total rip off!

Bedding plants ordered early April. Supposed delivery date early May. I have since been unwell and tried to cancel the order. Was told I couldn't cancel. Now it seems delivery date is 31st May! I believe a refund is due if I wish to cancel. I believe that putting a note on the product page saying cancellation after ordering is not legal. They have had more than £100 since April 8th! Do not use this company. I am still waiting for a response to my latest email regarding a refund!

Ordered plants for delivery in April. They refused to cancel my order even though they knew they couldn’t deliver? Still no sign of plants. They say the small print says the delivery date is only a guide and they are within their rights. Debating whether to take this further
