Paid over £30 for 2x 2L pots (1x Echinacea, 1x Achillea) as a gift, early July. Echinacea was advertised as blooming June-September but arrived already cut back, not even to a leaf node, just the tops of the old blooms, and not cut back low enough to promote more growth later in the season. Achillea was also extremely small and of poor quality (very small for the pot size, very minimal leaf and flowering stems). Upon sending some feedback to them I was told their plant experts had looked at the images I had sent, and that the Echinacea had completed it's blooming cycle (possible, but then why not advertise that on the page?), and that the Achillea had a good root system in relation to the size of the plant - how they can see the root system through a pot I don't know... I always shop in garden centres so I can see the quality of the plants up close but this was a long distance birthday gift so was not possible. I took a risk on a recommendation, and assumed expensive would mean good quality, but I was wrong. Read the other Crocus review pages for a full impression of this company - avoid at all costs.

Used to be good company. Must be near administration as no customer service, no response to recent emails and phones down due to a technicality! My order consistently of dying or stressed plants. Unlikely to survive. Return requested on day if delivery. Courier didn't turn up and plants boxed in new containers as original ones mangled in transit, still await collection. Very fishy set up. Avoid them.

I bought 9 rhubarb plants 3 of which turned out to be Chinese Rhubarb (not related to rhubarb). I have been trying unsuccessfully for weeks to get a sensible response from Crocus for weeks. Total disaster responses. Can't speak to Crocus in UK. Guy in South Africa call centre did his best but was ill equipped. Previous orders during past year have been substandard both quality with delivery mistakes. What has happened to Crocus? They used to sell top quality plants backed up by UK based good customer service. Have used them for years, no longer. The CEO should get a grip.

I ordered pots of lovage, mint and parsley. All arrived late. The lovage was just about acceptable. The mint was mostly bare twigs with few sad, browning leaves. The parsley was a yellowing spring less than half the size of the well-established pots shown online. Neither looks likely to survive, and even if they do it'll be a miracle if either produces usable leaves this year. I should have tried to return them but I guess my instinct was that I had to try to save them, plus returning live plants is such a hassle. Will obviously never use Crocus again, just wish I'd looked for reviews before purchasing, but their website is so convincing.

Appalling customer service. Spent an hour online and phone to try and reset my password. They keep saying they have sent an email link which I never receive. They then ended the phone call saying they’ll email me!! I give up.

If I could give them zero I would. 6 missing plants, 3 phone calls later and nothing. Appalling customer service. Taken my money and delivered nothing. Spend your money elsewhere!

I'm a first time customer and this will be my last order. Half my order arrived in a terrible condition and Customer Services have ignored by emails and the phone lines are 'temporarily closed' while they 'prioritise email'. This is the worst customer service I have experienced in some time. Luckily my order was low value, but being treated so poorly as a customer is still disappointing.

Total ripoff. This used to be my go-to company for online plant purchases but now I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole. Exorbitant prices and rubbish quality. I mean absolute rubbish quality, as in receiving a dead plant that cost £30 and no response from Customer Services. I will never use Crocus again.

I ordered 2 x Hypericum × inodorum Magical Beauty 1.5 litre pots costing me £41.97 including postage, this price is overly expensive but as I've ordered plants from Crocus uk before and received the highest quality, I thought the price would be fair! How wrong I was, not happy and disappointed with the overall quality of these 2 plants, just two stems in each pot and one snapped off whilst planting, would not recommend! I ordered on Amazon a Hypericum 'Miracle Attraction in a 2 litre pot costing £13.99 from YouGarden, with free delivery...quick delivery too. I received the box today and the plant is beautiful, very mature, just how I was expecting the Hypericum × inodorum Magical Beauty. I think sometimes ordering on line is luck of the draw!

Plants severely delayed but no communication from Crocus. Having chased , they sent only part of my shipment and I’m still waiting the other half almost 3 weeks since purchase! Offered a 20% refund. Very poor and will not use again.

If it was possible I would give a zero star rating. This was my first time ordering from Crocus and I thought that they had a good reputation. My order was small but expensive - just two high dome propagators, can't go far wrong with those, and two ferns - a Dyopteris Affinis which is small but not in bad order and hopefully will grow on, also an Athyrium niponicum var.pictum 'Ursula Red', this has arrived almost dead, will need a lot of nurturing. No delivery note/invoice. On the whole disappointed AB

Ordered plants 5th June that were due to delivery within 7-9 days. Reached out 15th as website said still being processed at day 10. Item did arrive on 16th, wrong item and dead. I received an email to say I would be getting a refund but no apology. I wouldn't recommend there are better companies out there! Gardeners Dream being one.

Today I recieved my order and I'm absolutely shocked at the poor quality of plants sent. I ordered plants worth £190 (149 after discount) but am absolutely shocked at the poor quality of the plants. What a scam. The hydrangeas that I ordered were worth £17.99 each and they're strikingly different from what's advertised. Also, the lavender plants were worth £5.99 for a 9 cm pot but they look so weak and small. I found way better lavenders at B & Q! Plus, my acer tree hasn't even arrived and I dread at what it'll look like. This nursery is a complete rip off. Please do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. Just the most disappointed first time buyer.

Just received (several days late) an order for plants that cost over £260 - very disappointed. Maybe I was naive to expect plants that would look good straight away, but what I got was just a selection of tiny little plants, that will get lost in the garden. I tried Crocus because they seemed to have such a big selection, but I could have bought far better at the local garden centre and I wish I had.

I often use Crocus because they offer such a wide range of plants. However I am always disappointed by the quality of the plants which are also very expensive for their size. I recently chased up a late order (no email dispatch confirmation) and found that the plants had been left outside my door, without a box or paperwork and no note had been put through the door either. They had been there for two days and I didn’t know there were there! The lady at customer service was helpful though. I’ve been a crocus customer for a number of years but I think I am going to have to take my business elsewhere now. The truth is that garden centres and other specialist nurseries offer much better plants for much cheaper prices and I should support them. Crocus owners/ directors - it you’re reading this then it’s time to pull your finger out. You have the opportunity to offer an excellent service and at the prices you charge you should be doing that! Please just try and act like you care about your customers and take these reviews on board!

Wish i googled reviews first. I received poor quality gladioli bulbs, doubt anything will grow. Also some of the lily of the valley i ordered were absolutely dry and dead. Sent an email and the response i got was poorly and unprofessional.
