I ordered two items from debenhams a few days ago and had no problems whatsoever. Items delivered on time and were as described. Will definitely be shopping from them again.

I am a visitor to London, it was early morning and was casually looking around the make up counters in Debenhams in Wimbledon, when I approached a very helpful Chanel saleswoman who 'made up' my face up beautifully at no notice as it was generally quiet. Later that evening, when I went to visit my elderly mother, even she remarked how radiant I looked. Thank you Nighat Hussain. That was great. I will use the free sample of moistureriser on Saturday. Just had to pass this on to you as so often counter attendants get really bad press. I was in Debenhams Falkirk this morning, as the tills were busy, I went to the cosmetic counter to be served. I was served with Avril, whom I found a great help compared with other store in this centre. Avril was so pleasant and willing to help me it was a very nice gesture I will certainly be returning to Debenhams in the near future as their customer service training is second to none. Thank you Avril for making my day.

I was with my daughter and grand-daughter on Saturday 21 March at the Leicester Highcross store . My daughter had made an appointment for a personal shopper to help her 13 year old daughter find an outfit for a wedding. Hafsa, our personal shopper, was absolutely fantastic; she listened, made suggestions and was, at all times, conscious of what was going to give my grand-daughter confidence in her chosen outfit. We certainly wouldn't have come away happy without Hafsa's help; we can't thank her enough. I thoroughly recommend this service and Hafsa, if you can get her.

I had a problem with my store card couldn't get any help on the website and I wasn't prepared to pay premier rate phone charges so I spoke to one of the assistants on the jewellery counter her name is Karen she got on the phone and we got everything sorted she was fantastic. The store is in Livingston west lothian

I booked a personal shopper on the 28/02/2015 at 2.30pm Preston branch. My personal shoppers name was Sue. She was fantastic,I found her to be honest but not unkind I came out with everything I needed for a very special day. Although I went in Debenhams thinking I knew exactly what I wanted to wear Sue brought a rack of clothes which I would have never have chosen, and her advice was to keep an open mind and try the clothes on first before I dismissed them.She was right the clothes I tried on seemed to suit my figure and the outfits she had picked out for me looked great.I did not feel hurried into choosing my outfit and felt like Nothing was too much trouble for Sue.She was pleasant professional and extremely helpful.This is a service I would definitely use again and would be asking for Sue Weatherall. Thank you Sue for the first time you made shopping for clothes for myself a very enjoyable experience.

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S8, at probably the lowest UK price available, on Thursday and it was delivered via DPD on the Monday. Just two working days after. So full marks for speedy delivery. Their e-mail messaging service is very good too as they are prompt in replying to queries.

Ordered two Samsung S6 Edge phones on Sunday evening, they were delivered before 11.00 am on the Tuesday. No trouble at all, will use again

Quite surprised/confused that I received really decent customer service, considering all the negative reviews on here I was dreading dealing with the returns process but after getting a dodgy Electriq TV from them I requested a return and sent them pictures of the problem, took a few weeks but they sent someone to collect it and on the same day I got an email saying the refund had been processed. Not saying this redeems them as a company as people are clearly having a LOT of problems with them, and I find the fact they are just Buy It Direct/Appliances Direct/Laptops Direct paying to use the Debenhams brand to imply quality is quite sketchy, but my experience was pretty smooth.

I have been ordering (online) with debenhams for the past three years. I am very happy with most of the purchases. However, I have noticed that since the slight changes with the site format have been implemented, many of my orders have been cancelled. Nonetheless, I have had some very good purchases and will order from debenhams in the future.

I was given 5 delivery dates, each kept getting put back. After waiting 3 weeks I ended up cancelling because after calling them I learnt the item would not be in stock for a further 2 weeks. If I had known this in the first place it would take 5 weeks to deliver I wouldn't have ordered the Macbook and gone elsewhere in the first place. I needed this for work, I found it very irritating how terribly they managed my expectations by continuously giving me new dates over the 3 week period. Only reason I'll give it another star was the response was reasonable and those I spoke to were pleasant. However, after having this experience I won't shop here again.

I purchased two sofas on line. They are in place, in my living room, look great and are very comfortable. However, the whole delivery process was a shambles. I was promised a delivery date (w/b 20 Feb 2017) rang to confirm the week before... given an exact date confirmed by email, all seemed ok, then I was later told not possible... It would be another week. Then I was contacted again to say there was a problem with the order and there would be further delays before delivery was possible. I was told I could cancel the order if I wished. Given that I had re decorated to suit the new sofa, rearranged the room and got rid of the old suite, the offer to cancel did not go down well. In the end the sofas were delivered (13 March 2017) and all is well. But it took weeks and Debenhams delivery organisation is shambolic.

Delivery turned up (a Christmas present) and the product box was damaged. Made it look cheap although it was a fairly expensive product (Cole & Mason Salt and Pepper Mills). The packaging was all ok and well protected with bubble wrap so it was clearly picked and sent in this poor condition. Shame on you Debenhams. Total waste of my time and not what I expected from the brand. Clearly I should have gone to John Lewis or House of Fraser.

Ordered a Phase 8 dress for a wedding it arrived in a 9" x 9" plastic bag. Was so creased I had to take to dry cleaners to be professionally pressed.

Returned an item for £75.00 to debenhams in leicester which was refunded back to my credit card. When I got home realised that the young lad had placed the item back in my bag as I had made another purchase. Took it back to debs today as didn't want the lad to get into trouble. All the money they are going to make over Xmas and didn't even get a £5.00 voucher!

I went to the MAC store to purchase a foundation, after waiting in the line for a good couple of minutes I was re-directed to the Urban Decay checkout area as there was only one cashier (even though i was next in line) I went over to the Urban Decay counter and waited patiently the lady at the counter looked at me twice, and after waiting a couple of minutes told me "it was best to go to another checkout area as she was going to be a while" with an attitude, I have no problem with waiting but she could have told me this in the first place rather than letting me wait. I then had to walk around looking for someone to serve me as no one was on a till. I have worked in retail before so I understand It probably had been a long day but at the end of the day I am a paying customer.

Very disappointing, a week ago I ordered a dress on-line to wear to a family members wedding at the time of placing the order on-line I was informed it would take 4 - 5 working days so I had more than enough time to receive it before the wedding! it's not arrived and the wedding is tomorrow :( I called and they said I would not get a response to my enquiry regarding the order for 3 working days and that there was no way of tracking the order even though they sent me a tracking number, I now have to go out and buy another outfit at the last minute which is inconvenient and an additional expense! Very disappointed and will probably not order anything on-line for fear of it not arriving on time or possibly never arriving!

My wife bought a dress and paid the £7 for next day delivery and we waited. Then at 10.15pm the next day I called to find that the item had been delivered and signed for but not to my house and they only had a first name and the postcode of the receiver. There needs to be some changes to their system like getting a full name and actually delivering the item. I have received a refund but that still doesn't fix the missing dress needed for a wedding in 2 days time.
