Got my order -candelabra for Christmas and it's all in scratches!!!! Never expierenced such an awful quality!! I ordered from Norway so it is too much effort to return it, but never ever ordering from here again! And would offer for other international buyers to avoid thos shop!!!

They are useless takes at least 1 hour on hold before you speak to someone, when you do eventually get on the phone to a person they are rude and don’t help you at all. Made a claim didnt fight my corner and put me at fault straight after I made the claim although I had proof to prove I wasn’t.

Everything went wrong. Deliveries, timing, customer service, communication... it's unbelievable that this pretend upper class store provides a level of service that would not even be able to compete with Primark.

Really dreadful customer service. Part of my order was not delivered and when I checked after a couple of days it had been returned by the courier. 20 mins wait to speak to customer service to find they wouldn’t send a replacement, and over two weeks later and after constant emails I am still waiting for them to credit my card. Such a shame as they have put me off ever ordering again. My Daughter actually works for them and in store their customer service seems good. Online it’s the worst I’ve ever experienced

Very poor customer service. Waiting for call to be answered for 20 minutes. No apology for the delay. My order could not be cancelled or amended despite manager explaining it had not actually been dispatched yet. I had to suggest ways I could get my items. The solution was to try to purchase the items in a store rather than the order I had placed on line. When I was put through to the store to check if the items were in stock I was promptly disconnected and had to call the store myself which resulted in another 35 minute wait. I shop at Debenhams but would not do so in the future due to the poor experience I have had today and previous experiences of poor customer service.

selling dangerous goods. Having purchased a picture from Debenhams it fell and broke within a few minutes of being hung on the wall. One of the mounts have broken under the weight of the picture. Luckily it missed my granddaughter. My wife has just spent around an hour on the phone trying to resolve the issue and I cannot believe how inept their staff are when it comes to customer service. Will never buy from them again. If you have shares in Debenhams I suggest you sell them as a business with this level of customer service will not be around for much longer. Does any business have a Trust Pilot score worse than Debenhams?

I ordered 2 mantaray tops for my holiday the following week. When the tops turned up they were 2 completely different tops...red herring in size 16. The delivery note said I had the tops I had ordered so somebody packing obviously got it wrong and there's someone out there with 2 mantaray tops that are too small. When I phoned customer services to see if I could still get the tops I wanted, the helpful lady told me one was out of stock but that she would make sure I had the other one before the weekend in plenty of time for my holiday. Surprise, surprise the newly ordered top did not turn up before my holiday....nor has it done since. Not a great experience, Debenhams. I won't be ordering online from you again.

I sent an item via post but was not issued a refund even with proof of postage. They said the order number was refunded. Very bad experience. I would not recommend it.

My order arrived with a missing item .I appreciate this can happen. As it did not say to follow or out of stock I called customer service and a replacement arrived next day without a problem. As it was not suitable I returned two separate parcels to Debenhams via Royal Mail .The tracking information advises it arrived back at Debenhams on 04/08/2017.After contacting customer service several times by email I am still trying to get credit on the 'reordered item. The other item was credited after my first email .I have now sent a written complaint but as yet have not heard anything and it is now the 22/08/2017.appalling service.

After waiting almost 15 minutes at the channel counter while the assistant was laughing and talking to someone who wasn't purchasing I decided to spend my money on Chanel parfum at boots this was the merry hill branch

We purchased a Chesterfield sofa from Debenhams earlier in the year. The sofa looked great, but the quality of the mattress is actually shocking. The springs come right through. Every guest we have had has mentioned it and one even moved to the floor during the night! ~We raised this with Debenhams and they sent someone to evaluate. The chap that came said that while there was not defect, the mattress was terrible... Debenhams closed the ticket and said that no fault had been found.... Absolutely terrible customer service! In addition to this Debenhams keep trying to collect the Sofa, even though we are paying for it on a credit agreement. Avoid at all costs!

Santa presents ordered on. Dec 19th under the Christmas delivery guarantee, arrived Jan 4th and were handed to my 7 year old in the garden. Customer service was appalling, with me being told on the phone that the delivery guarantee guarantees nothing, and that the driver was sick (He was not as I spoke to him several times on the phone, frantically looking for the Santa presents. I would never buy from Debenhams again and I'm amazed they continue to trade with their dreadful service.

I received a gift voucher of £50, and I activated it several months after I received it, so I had 24 months to use it which was fine. When I tried to use it I was told it had expired and that the activation date is not the date used to mark the beginning of the 24 months, instead you are supposed to log into their site and ‘check balance’ to create a start data for the 24 months. (They do not even mention this on the email) They designed it so you are not told about this, and unless you know to ‘check balance’ they will use the first date that you have been sent the gift card. I was totally disgusted as my sister bought this for me. Their customer service was shocking, they really don’t care one bit and they know they have your money by then. They don’t even send a reminder that the gift card is near expiry, a simple automated email would be fine. I’ll never set foot in their store or shop online with them again. DONE BUY THIER GIFTCARDS!

I have visited to Debenhams in Romford. Their customer service are always worst compare to other shops in Romford. Some of their staff cannot even say "Please ","Sorry"or "Thank you". The company cannot teach basic manners. They have to change the way they talk. They should learn customer service from John Lewis.
