Bought an item on line. It didn't fit so I returned it using EVRI (as per returns label included). Over two weeks later no sign of any refund so I had to chase it up. Then realise I have been charged to return the item (this charge in addition to paying the return postage). Can't recommend buying online from Debenhams unfortunately.

Absolutely awful..ordered 5 gifts sets of aftershave which 4 arrived damaged..none have seals on them at all..arrived Inadequately packaged in simply a plastic bag..no bubble wrap nothing..cant return under normal channels as damaged and comes under Consumer Rights 2015..so have to go via their CONTACT US. Which takes you to WhatsApp where a bot replies then nothing at all same on messenger same auto message that a agent will get back but expect delays. 3 days so far and not a single reply. Id say be quicker to go through your credit card company or PayPal if used that method though PayPal if in your favour only refund delivery n item costs its up to you to pay for returns then..im not paying to return 5 x aftershave gifts sets when its not my fault they couldn't package properly. I now have the CEO email address so will go through him as I dont have the money to repurchase these gift sets for Christmas until these are returned and refunded. DEBENHAMS are so poorly rated now across social media and review sites, look at Trust Pilot for genuine reviews ..I wont use them again..im very unhappy so far.

Hi ordered a candle that arrived broken. Cut myself and tried to contact CS. Oh my goodness what an awful experience. Where are customer services based - disgraceful? Now two weeks and still heard nothing SH

Scummy behaviour from Debenhams. They didn’t refund the delivery fee of an item that was out of stock, no response from “customer services” will have to chargeback through bank. They still have the same item for sale though! They can scam as many times as they like it seems! Scum

Just an absolute joke. Good not turned up, its a sofa so expensive. No one answers queries and no one is helping. DO NOT buy from them. An embarrassment.

Order 4 items on 24 Oct, 3 items have been delivered but the Ellie Sabb Perfume has not, the tracking service has not moved in weeks. I have contacted Debenhams online chat service several times regarding this and each time they have extended the length of time they expect me to wait for it to be delivered. Today (15th Nov) is the final date they gave me and said if it hadn’t arrived by this date, I’d be refunded the £70, lo and behold it’s still not arrive, contacted the online chat again several times today and was asked if id returned it??? I explained that its never been delivered to me and now they’re saying it has been delivered….urgh! It’s so frustrating, the minute you try to get your point across you get a generic message saying they’re very busy and will get back to you as soon as they can, last time this took 5 days. I want a refund so I can get the perfume elsewhere, I used to love shopping in Debenhams but they’re an absolute shambles now and their customer service is appalling . If they continue to fob me off I will be contacting trading standards. If you don’t want drama in your life, best avoid buying anything from this store!

I ordered 5 items received 4 they told me everything was delivered but a £50.00 cost was not been trying for weeks to get my money back customer service is shocking I won’t be buying from them again.Nothing like the Debenhams shops.

Customer service is absolutely dreadful. Noone replies to WhatsApp or email messages. Not possible to contact on the phone. Avoid dealing with this company at all costs!!!!!

Shocking, sent a return took 3 weeks to get my refund. Then placed an order no order confirmation but money taken, can’t speak to anyone or get any response truly is disgraceful company. Needs shutting down

Avoid this company! They steal off customers, ignore any correspondence about an order that the customer may have and the customer service department needs a total revamp. The people there ignore messages and do not refund customers on orders that haven't arrived.

Worst company, worst customer service, an absolute disgrace! Would give zero stars if I could. I ordered online, checked out and realised I had ordered double ( a glitch their end). I tried to immediately cancel the order but was Told I couldn't but could return the item. When I tried to return it, sealed I was told I couldn't return it for a refund, I went back and forth with so called customer services for 4 weeks seeing photos as requested but they have completely ignored me and I am unable to return for a refund. An absolute disgrace of a company. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Never in my life I was so disappointed with Debenhams, they literally sold me used boots with multiple wearing marks, scratches, dirty inside and out, customer service extremely poor absolutely useless ignoring my emails doesn’t take responsibility. Shame on you, you are disgusting.

Made 2 orders in October . Returned most of the items . Had an email to say goods received and refund on the way.. nothing ! It's been a month now . Can't get hold of anyone. Email and what's app service is diabolical. Paypal are now involved. I will be going to small claims court if no refund received soon

A complete waste of time , have gone down the tubes , express delivery (2days ) a joke 8 days later and the item hasn’t even reached Royal Mail. I WILL NOT BE TAKING OUT £14.99) ALL DELIVERIES NEXT YEAR will take my chance with other companies .

In my opinion customer service is terrible! Don't respond to vour email. they just ask me once to send the proof of return. I sent them the proof from royal mail but they didn't respond back, it's been 4 weeks and they didn't answer to my email and I didn't get the money back, but they received my dress! My advice: read the reviews and avoid Debenhams!!! I will never use Debenhams ever again!

The delivery was delayed, and despite multiple attempts to contact your support team via email, Messenger, and WhatsApp, I have received no response. I am currently trying to return two of the three items, but the provided QR code is not functioning. Without support, I am unable to proceed with the return. This experience has been extremely frustrating, and I am disappointed by the lack of communication and assistance. I will not be using Debenhams online shopping again and feel compelled to share this experience with others.
