Visited the Monks Cross branch in York recently for the first time, to purchase a cycle helmet. Found a helmet I liked, and proceeded to the till. The male assistant was on the phone for a good five or so minutes, so I duly waited. On finishing his phone conversation, I put my purchase on the counter, no greeting or acknowledgement from from the assistant, to which he brusquely said 'can you go the the other counter and put it in the bin'.. Not sure of the procedure, I walked round to said counter and waited for him to complete my sale. He'd disappeared! Another male assistant passed by so I asked if he'd help, he was very helpful and obliging, and showed me how the system worked. Think his name badge said Patrick. I was quite taken aback by the first assistant's unhelpfullness and attitude quite honestly, it's just not what you expect, or should have to when you go somewhere to spend money! The assistant I first approached was wearing a baseball type cap, and had a lot of tattoos on both arms. I won't be returning to this store.

I’m a Decathlon member and sadly had to cancel my order after discovering I can buy the very same bike direct from the manufacturer’s website for nearly £200 less - which is a lot when Decathlon are asking for £650 in total. I cancelled the order before it arrived - as Decathlon refused to compromise on the price despite their marketing claims that their prices are “unbeatable”. Despite the bike never having been delivered to me, Decathlon are now purposefully delaying refunding me citing that they need to hear from their delivery agent! But this is nothing to do with me and the refund should just be processed immediately. Shame on you Decathlon for your gross negligence on pricing and shoddy after service in refunding the money. My advice….buy from the bike manufacturer directly, save a fortune, nothing to lose on warranty - so you’d be a fool to buy from Decathlon in the circumstances!

I paid for for next day service so item would arrive before I went to a festival. It's still not arrived and hasn't even processed yet.

Decathlon took my money and the returned product and refuse to give me a refund. I have sent them emails and a letter to their HQ, but they state it is a warehouse problem and still have not refunded me. This has been going on since March.

Was sent a pair of shorts from Adidas which cut into my legs with sharp seems reddening my skin. Tried to return these due to them being bad stock and not fit for purpose. They refused the return and would not offer any help. They shifted all fault to Adidas with absolutely no desire to help me. The useless paper tags were no longer on the shorts so nothing I can do apparently despite UK Law. So I am £40 down with nothing to show for it and cannot even wear the shorts. Con artist company to be avoided.

I purchased a Rockrider mountain bike, & I discovered that the seat post bolt had been rounded off with no way to remove. The bike mechanic told me I'd have to either buy a new seat post & saddle or drill it out. An email was sent to customer service explaining the issue & my dissatisfaction, whereby they bounced me around for Two weeks from person to person. They clearly had no interest or desire to resolve the situation. The result of which I will never buy anything or recommend this company.

The peddle came loose and wouldn't tighten after 2 weeks. I contacted Decathlon and was told that it was not under warranty because I hadn't tightened the peddle. I was informed that the customer is liable for any part having to be fitted after delivery. This would include the handlebars, headset, crank arms and peddles which are not covered under warranty. I was told that I could take it to my nearest store, a 2 hour journey and pay for repair. I was also told that this was 'a common problem'. This is not on the website or made clear at the point of purchase. I only wanted a repair.

Decathlon has a terrible Customer Service. I want to return an item purchased through Decathlon but supplied and shipped by one of their partner companies (Maritime Distribution). There is no information available on Decathlon's website for returning a product to one of their partners and we are asked to contact Decathlon's Customer Service on WhatsApp. I have contacted them many times and still not received what has to be the simplest of answer: their partner's address to return a product! I will make sure to avoid using Decathlon in the future. Other online providers have much better Customer Services.

Geen garantie, waardeloos bedrijf Supboard gekocht van meer dan 300 euro, voor mijn dochterjte van 8 jaar. Bij het eerste gebruik liet het binnenventiel los, waarschijnlijk fabricagefout of defect gegaan met de verzending. Meerdere malen contact opgenomen met de klantenservice en foto's gemaild. Je wordt aan het lijntje gehouden met montage filmpjes en verhalen over externe partner om na 3,5 week te horen zonder te onderzoeken dat ze geen garantie geven. Terwijl er 2 jaar garantie wordt beloofd op het product. Trap er niet in mensen, koop geen supboard bij dit waardeloos bedrijf. Ordernr: nl3012801667, ticketnr:1228347

Tried applying for a refund, only to be told I haven’t made any purchases 😵‍💫 Tried phoning and also the WhatsApp number - a few short beeps then call ended. Can’t speak to anyone., no simple way of applying for a refund - in fact, it seems nye on IMPOSSIBLE. Never buy from this company. How do you stay in business?? Lots of friendly emails re order, but after that you’re UN CONTACTABLE.

Extremely disappointing experience with Decathlon Mahadevpura Whitefield shop. We bought cycle on Sunday 31st March, next day Monday it was home delivered and Tuesday it's front brake started giving problem. There was no accident or fall. Decathlon suggested to call a nearby local repair person as they won't come. As per them it's just a screw issue. But today when I called the repair person he immediately informed that the parts used in the brake are of poor quality and even spring got broken. Wire has to be replaced a well. He showed all the defects. Brand new cycle with poor quality spare parts and the poorest customer service. Shame on you Decathlon. I would recommend to buy branded cycle but from local nearby cycle vendor so that you experience a good customer service .

Had a very bad experience with sales person Gopinath today. He is very poor in customer handling. Decathlon should be very much focussed when hiring sales person. Because of 1 or 2 name is getting spoiled. We like the decathlon products because of 1 or 2 like gopinath we are having a very bad experience. They are making fun of customers walking in and enjoying in the floor. They are ignoring if we are asking valid queries. Hope they should answer our queries and moreover very different answers. It varies from person to person as well. It looks funny and they require proper training on how to speak to customers.

There is no customer service whatsoever. They just don't answer. Taking the payment of course if very quick and efficient, the problems start when it comes to delivering the product. It just doesn't arrive, then you can't contact the support team. This, in my opinion makes them a service that is capable of taking money only. The rest of the operation is just pathetic.

1 star is generous. Absolutely atrocious service. Don't buy anything from this store. E-Bike broke down within 6 months after paying £89 for a full service 3 months after purchase. Parts take weeks to arrive. They only employ 1 mechanic and when he is off, tough. No regard for people's circumstances. No replacement available. Called the store everyday, just to get told to call back the next day. Gave the bike in on 08.07.2023, today on 18.07.2023 the part still hasn't arrived. Also, the mechanic is off for the next 2 days, so it may be fixed after 2 weeks. Who knows. I cannot understand how it is taking 2 weeks to fix 1 e-bike. It is not a rocket ship. I would never purchase anything from this store and I would advise others to save their money and go somewhere else for better quality and most importantly service!
