Dell customer service is ridiculously inefficient and of poor quality! I do not recommend purchasing computer equipment from Dell based on my experience with them. My 2 year old XPS laptop had the swollen battery problem along with the touch pad not functioning. It took 2 technicians to fix the problem because the first guy replaced the battery, but didn't bring the new touch pad and also broke one of the fans. Dell supposedly provided a return label to ship the old battery back to them, but the crumpled label provided in the box could not be scanned by UPS and wasn't the correct label because there was no tracking number on it. So that was a wasted trip to UPS. Calling to find someone at Dell to send me a correct label, after 15 minutes of questions, the person at Dell was nice enough to transfer me to a department that is closed. I don't like my Dell laptop enough to ever buy another one, and certainly can't find anything positive to say about their customer service department. And the saga continues. I wonder how much more time I will spend trying to get the correct shipping label to get rid of the old swollen battery ????

Dell might have the worst customer service I have seen. My computer was under warranty and it wasn't charging. The computer recognized the charger was plugged in but wouldn't charge. After MANY issues with this, I called customer service and after about an hour on the phone, they were not able to help me. I was able to mess with the charger and get it to charge but then it would happen again a few days later. I kept dealing with this problem but getting it to charge after messing with it for awhile each time it happened. Now, it won't charge and no matter how much I mess with the charger, it won't work. I took it to a computer store and turns out it has been the actual charger the whole time. Customer service never mentioned it might be the charger. I had to buy a new adapter. I called Dell customer service, even though it is now out of warranty, because it was an issue I had while it WAS under warranty and they never fixed. They all gave me the same line, that it isn't under warranty anymore so I would need to pay for it. They were extremely unhelpful and not understanding. I would say they were rude. They would transfer me all around the company, keeping me on hold, all to say the same thing. I am so disappointed with this company and disgusted with their customer service.

Just now I purchased dell 5570 through Amazon I purchased dell 5570 through Amazon. Machine kept freezing and blue screening from the first day I used it. I called dell support and they told me it was a windows problem and needed to charge me to fix it as it was not a hardware or dell issue. After dealing with freezing and blue screens until warranty expired, it finally quit. Took it to repair shop, they replaced hard drive, got it back, still same issues freezing and blues screens as many as 7 times daily. Took it back to repair shop and they reinstalled windows 10. Got laptop back and still same issues. I have spent $350 in repairs to date and hundreds of hours updating, troubleshooting, and redoing files that were lost during the blue screens and freezes. I am a senior and while I have lots of time, this is not enjoyable. Don't know if Amazon got deal on these machines or if dell just dropped ball making this unit. Needed this laptop as I was spending time in hospital fighting cancer. This has been one of the worst experiences of my life!!! Posting this review, so someone else might not need to go through what I have.

dell customer service, India sucks big time. You’d just want to pick a fight with those waste of existence trash bags. they are first of all rude, they wont give you the information. for a simple question, they transfer the calls all over and make you do half the work. done and dusted with this waste bins.

If I could go lower I would. Ordered an HTC Vive online from their store. It said that my purchase would arrive within a few business days, then it got delayed. Once that next date hit, there was another delay....same story next arrival date, delay. The day it was supposed to arrive then, I got an email specifying the order was canceled, and the product was removed from their store. Clearly they were out of stock, and didn't notice until then. It has been about 2 months and I still have not been given a refund despite calling and asking them! It was not a wise choice to do business with them.

Purchased a new system and they are sending order conformation to the wrong email address, even though they emailed me a quote prior to the purchase and the customer service for Dell is horrible. they need to move this department back to the USA, I was transferred 7 times and no one could understand the problem. How the computer doesn't have a issue, I dread ever having to call Dell again. Will look for another computer option in the future.

Dell customer sucks! They shipped the wrong power supply with the computer and then refused to tell me when i would get the new power adapter. I decided to return the whole thing...had to sit on the phone for TWO HOURS to get it done. Still have not received the return label email....will not be buying anymore dells for my company

Like other customers, I had the misfortune to buy a dell product on-line. In fact, one might say that I had the misfortune to buy a dell product. I bought a monitor, which died within six months. Dell refused to replace it, offering me an "open box" monitor. When I disputed the purchase with Amex, Dell claimed they would replace the monitor. Needless to say, that was a lie. I could get a replacement if I still had the monitor. I don't still have the monitor. I don't keep crappy defective products around. I will never buy another Dell product; I will, however, post as many negatives reviews as I possibly can. Linda J. Holland-Toll

My Inspirion 15 had a catastrophic system failure 3 days after the 1-year warranty expired. No damage, no drops, no spills. Also no service. I called and spoke to a Dell employee. He recognized that nothing happened to the laptop, but Dell was not willing to admit that the fault was their equipment. Dell informed me that they "cannot guarantee that any electronic will work after just one week." We argued back and forth for a while. He became more and more agitated and insisted that Dell would not cover anything out of warranty. I informed Dell that I have another laptop, this one an Acer Nitro, whose screen died after a year, and that Acer repaired it free of cost, even though it had no warranty. Dell responded that each manufacturer handles things differently. I brought the conversation back to his statement that Dell will not guarantee a product for even a week, and asked how Dell was willing to stand behind any product when they die so spontaneously. Dell fell back on their final line of defense, their parry for all circumstances: The product is not under recall, so the issue is not with the device. They said over and again that because there was no recall, then the device could not be at fault. They treated all devices as being exactly identical and said that one device Could Not have any failure without all of the devices having that failure. It is circular reasoning, and extremely annoying to argue against. I eventually spoke to a supervisor who started annoyed, became angry, and eventually was just downright unfriendly. The supervisor told me that he had a $1000.00 Dell that died after 6 months, and that he understood that electronics do that... That is absurd. Dell's argument against repairing their products is based on the premise that they will die, and that it is the consumer's fault. Remember, they insist that they cannot be at fault. It seems to be their mantra: Dell is not at fault. Dell is not at fault. Well, if a Dell product dies after a year and 3 days, and nothing happened to it, then Dell is at fault. I am extremely unsatisfied with Dell; their product, their representatives, and their service. They were angry, unwilling to stand by their product, and constantly interrupted during the call. In the end, after the supervisor was roughly 90 seconds into another animated rant, the landline died because I had been talking with them for so long. I do not foresee ever recommending or purchasing a Dell. The Take-Aways: 1) Dell products will die. 2) Dell will sell you a warranty for when they die. 3) Dell will not stand behind their product. 4) Dell will get angry with you for expecting them to.

Horrible customer service! I custom ordered a PC. It was delivered a week late and had the wrong hard drive. I immediately contacted Dell. It took 2 days to get a response, then it was transferred to multiple people. After speaking with a manager I was told that the best they could do was have me return it, wait 72 hours for return to be processed, then start the ordering process over again. Why would I ever trust them to get it right the 2nd time, especially considering how difficult and unwilling to help they were with this problem. I can only imagine if I had a problem with it, after it was installed, how hard it would be to get assistance.

I have been buying Dell computers since windows 95 and this time I got really burned .. My old one broke down and I was not able to go on my email to confirm my order so I went a head and placed one with 16 GB of ram .. After dealing with Fedex witch is another story I received my tower with only 8GB of ram . I have tried to contact them to remedy the problem but only get transferred to different departments .. I ould give them 0 stars if i could.. #neverbuyadellagain

I ordered Dell laptop; I have always ordered Dell laptops and had no problems until last week. I received an email from Dell with the delivery date and FedEx tracking number. I stayed home all day for 2 days waiting for my package (which required a signature). No package. I checked the fedex website in the wee hours of the morning and was shocked to see that FedEx had delivered my laptop to someone unknown to me and not a resident of my complex. I immediately called Dell. Basically, they are requiring me to do their work! Contact FedEx which I did and started an investigation. Then they wanted me to file a police report. For what? Dell and FedEx had a contract. Why doesn't Dell deal with FedEx. FedEx failed to honor the contract by not delivering the product to the customer and obtaining that customer's signature. And they will not replace my computer unless I file a police report saying the package was stolen from my property. I don't even know if it ever was on my property since the person who signed for the package does not reside in my building!

Ordered a 2500.00 Alienware was sent email that order was received and being built and given a delivery date. Come to find dell cancelled order because of lack of verification whatever that is. When I called was on phone for 2 hours And talked to 6 people with no resolution it’s like they didn’t want my business. When I asked to talk to a supervisor to file a complaint line went dead, been dell customer for 15 years but no more.

As a lot of people, I would love to give 0 stars to them. I bought a top of the line XPS 13" Developers Edition (Ubuntu). I spent top euros on a machine, and thought that 1400 euros for the Dell would give me more power than 2300 euros for a comparable macbook pro. Although it looks really good, the machine is 100% garbage. I don't know if it is Dell's hardware, or if it is Ubuntu (19 years on and they are still trying to come up with a good product). And I don't care who is to blame. All I know is that as a freelancer developer I need my computer to be reliable, and not crash mysteriously several times a week, for different reasons. Pure garbage. Back to Mac.

Dell is the pits. I bought a laptop and desktop from them, and the fact that I was stupid enough to buy not one but TWO of their worthless machines makes me want to vomit and then shoot myself. Here are some of the most direct and accurate points I've encountered in the reviews below: -- "The very worst customer service I've encountered in decades." --"DO NOT BUY A DELL." --"Dell is a scam and a waste of money. NEVER BUY A DELL. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU." What passes for customer service by Dell is laughable, starting with the fact that most of them speak only a shred of English; and that aspect of their service has gotten worse over the last two or three years. They've ruined whole months of my life, because for whole months my days have gone like this: Get up. Have bowl of cereal. Brace myself for intensely unpleasant experience. Call Dell and have the aforementioned intensely unpleasant experience. Also, check watch: entire morning wasted. Next day: REPEAT YESTERDAY. Next day: PRAY FOR SOMEONE AT DELL WHO SPEAKS ENGLISH. It starts from the very beginning of each call. Half the time I can't even get past "Hello" but must ask if I've reached Dell Computers, because whatever they've said sounds like gibberish to me. (I know, my Hindi sounds like gibberish to them.) The frustrations are large and small. And on top of all that, they always ask if I'd be willing to speak with their bosses to commend their work. Are they joking, just to torture me? Life is just too short to spend it on dealing with Dell.
