If I could give this store zero stars, I would — but unfortunately, one star is the lowest option. I had a very disappointing experience at the Dillard’s in Mesquite. I returned clothing items with the tags still attached, and the staff claimed I had removed them. They then refused the return, saying the items showed “wear and tear,” which was completely untrue. The clothes were expensive and in the same condition as when I purchased them. What made the situation worse was the lack of professionalism and customer service. The manager was unhelpful and unwilling to offer any solution — not even store credit. There was no effort to resolve the issue or treat me with courtesy. Based on my experience, I would not recommend shopping at this location.

Dillards Dept. store in Alamance Crossing, Burlington NC. is the worst of the worst stores. I will never shop in there or on their online store again. I ordered some perfume almost two weeks ago to pick up in store. I have yet to receive my product; and it's expected to be several more days, and to make things worse the customer service is dreadful. I can't exchange or refund because it hasn't been delivered yet, but it'd being delivered to the store so I'm wondering what's the big deal. They want me to purchase something else and when the other product comes in to refund it for a gift card. ABSOLUTELY NOT! I will stick with Nordstroms and Macy's.

I have been a long-time Creed customer and this was my fifth bottle. I purchased a 75ml bottle of Acqua Fiorentina from Dillard’s (an authorized retailer) in December 2024. The fragrance was lightly used and properly stored. Over time, it developed a strong, unpleasant celery-like odor that makes it completely unwearable. Dillard’s compared my bottle side-by-side with a new unit in store and confirmed there was a clear difference in scent. When I contacted Creed directly and provided the lot number for review, I was informed that because the item was purchased through an external retailer, they could not take any further action. At this price point, I expected the brand to stand behind the stability and integrity of its products — especially when purchased through an authorized partner. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Very disappointing outcome for a luxury fragrance house.

The manager for the handbag department is so unprofessional and does not seem to know much about her own department. Needed to return a handbag that was given to me and she didn’t even know if they carried that brand. She had to ask some associates that all just standing there like if it was a carnival show. Dillards in McAllen ,Texas needs to train their managers better. Very disappointed

I purchased a sweater for my husband from dillards for the holidays. it did not fit right so went back to Dillards to try to exchange it, but my husband wasn’t sure about which size he needed and they did not have it in stock. Dillards suggested that we order another size and return the one that did not fit. We processed the return online printed the label dropped it off at the post office. The post office did not postmark for four days so now dillards has refused the return. they said we were out of the return timeframe since we did not drop it off till the 14th. We printed the label and dropped it off on the 10th as we were out of the country beginning the 13th so there is no way that we could’ve dropped it off on the 14th. They literally accused us of lying about the date that we dropped off the return when we offered proof of our plane tickets and lodging that we were leaving the country on the 13th. They refused the information and told us there’s nothing they would do.

They were completely unprofessional to work with at Dillard's; my experience was almost traumatic. The employees aggressively fought over sales, and management allowed it. They forced me to delete a video where a saleswoman treated me poorly in front of a customer so they would believe how I was being treated, and yet I was the one who lost my job. I had provided excellent customer service at a company where I worked for 12 years, and to think I left my other job for one closer to home... Ultimately, there was a complete lack of professionalism. When they escorted me to the door, it was amusing to see how confidently a manager spoke to me about what a bad person I was, without even knowing me. Working with toxic people is truly not ideal.

Dillard's sadly is not what it once used to be. From the quality of merchandise to the customer service provided in their stores. I just bought a pair of boots and when received the quality was very cheap. I checked online for the store locations that take returns to not waste my time and I was advised by the employee, oh you're here for a return we can't take and you're the 10th person here today for a return. Maybe Dillard's should make it point to update their website, unacceptable.

Dillards Coconut Point in Estero, Florida are racist. This is the 3rd time Ive been there & felt uncomfortable. The customer service was horrible in the shoe dept. I was watched in the women evening gown department by the short haired older staff & also I received poor customer service when I asked for assistance. This review has been long overdue.

I have to go to Europe and was looking for sheer tights to wear with a dress,as I wanted to visit a theater. As it is a problem to buy tights in the USA,I found them only in Dillards. It is impossible to open the cover and look at them in the store, though they must be of my size, but at home I look at them they were of elephant size,I wanted to return them but it was impossible and the manager was rather nasty to me.So I am going bare feet to Europe. and wasted my money in Dillards.

Poor customer service, arrogant and inexperienced sales people I bought two suits at Dillards in Louisville CO. The sales guy did a poor job matching my style. He wanted to impose his style on me. The alteration service was doing a poor job. One leg was over an inch longer than the other, amongst other things. He blamed his colleague, very unprofessional. The second suit was the same style, just different color, but did not fit at all. I returned it thanks to poor service and a terrible sales person. The same guy belittled my son a few months earlier, when buying a suit. It was more important for him to chat with his buddy and providing the service we needed. We ultimately purchased his suit at Macys. Today, they brought a voucher on shoes, the brand I purchased 2 pairs a week ago. They would not honor that. Except for exclusive brands like Cremieux, I will spend my money at Macys and Nordstrom going forward.

I would definitely recommend not working for Dillard‘s, they treat their employees so bad. I don’t even honestly know how the store is still open. They’re greedy and they treat their employees terrible.

I recently purchased several perfumes through Dillard’s online store, expecting the same level of service I usually receive when shopping in person. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. One of the reasons I often shop at department stores is the added value of receiving fragrance samples, which allows me to try out new scents before committing to a full bottle. This time, despite spending a significant amount, not a single sample was included in my order. It feels like a missed opportunity for both the customer and the store—samples help us discover new favorites and often lead to future purchases. I expected better from Dillard’s, especially given its reputation for customer care. I hope the company reconsiders this practice for online orders, as it leaves loyal customers like me feeling undervalued.

Ordered a dress online for an event I was attending, the dress arrived and unfortunately, had to be returned. They don’t give back the full cost as they charge a $25 restocking fee along with tax, and 9.95 for shipping label. I won’t be ordering from Dillards in the future as Macy’s and Nordstroms do not charge for returns. I will no longer shop at Dillards for this reason.

I’ve been a loyal customer of Dillards for years, but the recent experience has me seriously reconsidering that. I am frustrated with the return policy at Dillard’s. It is not customer friendly. I felt like the policy was designed to discourage returns rather than support customers. If you miss the 30 day, return window no store credit no return whatsoever. I returned the dress and they returned it right back to me because I was late and that was a post office issue.

I was always taught no matter what you look like money‘s money. The Dillard’s in Reno has the snobbiest, old ladies upstairs unbelievably rude no wonder why there’s no ones in there shopping The only person in that whole store in Reno worth talking to that was actually polite , nice and helpful wasHarmony . very disappointed.

The staff are treated poorly. The management gets away with treating them badly all the way from corporate snobs and staff being told not to say anything to them to the local managers. Amarillo Dillards specifically has issues with management. Dillards cares about themselves but not about their employees. They are far from team players. So glad I don’t have to work there.
