I've been emailing them for the last 12 days trying to rebook our ferry (we paid for an amenable booking). They just emailed me back saying that the "booking has expired".

Simply avoid DF service. Booked a ticket and for ferry from Ao Nang to Koh Jum and paid by credit card. Got an SMS with the booking reference but no Email confirmation. When I tried to contact DF this was not possible as the reference number was unknown.

I booked a ticket from Wellington to Picton. At the time I didn't know exactly what car I would be driving (it would depend on the rental company) but according to their website that would not be a problem as I would be able to amend it when I have the car available. When I received the car and tried to amend the particulars in their website they replied that the amendment was not possible. I contacted the operator and could get a ticket for the same day and time as my original one. Then I asked for a cancelation of the ticket with DirectFerries (according to their website that would be possible for a fee). They replied that cancelation was not possible (even after I insisted that according to their website it was possible). So I got ripped of of the value of the ticket... My strong advise: DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY - IT'S A SCAM.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE Needed to change my sailing Needed to change my sailing date No phone number & No possibility to call Not even an emergency number... Nothing !! Contact portal on website not working at all. No email. Contacted Brittany ferries to obtain email. Emailed them .NO REPLY !! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL !!! ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE AND STRESSFUL. Now it's TOO LATE to change my booking. Have to spend HUNDREDS on ANOTHER TICKET directly from Brittany ferries YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!

I booked today but never got a ticket. The money was immediately debited from my bank account and 2 minutes later I received an email from the company that I didn't finish my reservation. I try to contact them for two hours. Impossible, Total SCAM

I bought ferry ticket from Tallinn to Helsinki on Eckoro Line via Direct Ferries website and then received a email with reference no. But no actual ticket. I became slightly uncomfortable when I read online comments alluding to DF bring s fraudulent company. I was worried I had been scammed. Just 2 hours before embarking I went to g to he port terminal and found a machine dispenser and got my actual ticket by entering DF’s booking reference no. All is fine now - verifying DF not a scam. See the picture of the self help ticket dispenser in the port terminal for your convenience. While DF is not a scam but they do charge extra 2 to 3 euro for their service. Why not just book directly from the actual transport operator to save $? I’ll keep reminding myself to be a smarter user by not going through a broker the next time I book tickets.

This company are total rip off . Never ever deal with them again . Absolutely shocking treatment we changed original booking and they charged £43 for this to be told a week before due date to travel that the booking was not available and said they sent a email to say this . We never had a email . When asked to send us proof they only say the date and time they so say sent it . Absolute rubbish never had a email and we could not make another booking as they claim we missed the booking . Furious as they will not refund . I am so shocked at the comments about this company from others with sim problems. I hope karma bites them on the ass 😡😡

awful company, charges higher than what u would pay directly with the ferry company. i booked business class and they booked economy class for me. Ended up going on an economy trip while paid business prices, some bs

Clearly avoid this website if you don’t want to loose your money and time. I booked two tickets (for my uncle and me). The sealing has been cancelled. I asked for a reimbursement. They have reimbursed my uncle ticket and denied mine. No logic at all just want to take some money. And then they stopped answering my email and just kept my money. I will never use this site in my entire life.

Direct Ferries ROBBED us. Direct Ferries ROBBED me! Straight up stole my money. On the 11th August, I booked a passage from Dover to Dunkirk for the 16th August. I triple checked the dates (!), yet after paying I received a confirmation for the 12th August, not the 16th. I then had to contact them, since my "booking was in less then 24 hours and could not be amended" manually. Of course, they don't have a phone number, only a support chat, which does not work at all. I finally got them to change my booking (of course for an additional fee). Instead of the 16th, they booked us onto a ferry on the 18th, forcing us to stay in the UK for two more days, causing additional expenses. Be that as it may, I was prepared to let that slide, since I was just happy with having resolved the issue. I got a booking confirmation from Direct Ferries, stating time and date of departure, the 18th August 2022. When we got to the port it turned out that nothing had been amended by DF. We were left with no other option except buying a new ticket for 149£, since they had messed it up. In total, they cost us those 149£ plus the original ticket price, plus amendment charges, plus the extra amount of money we needed for accommodation and food for the extra two days. When I texted them demanding a refund, at least for the second ticket we had to buy, I got an absolutely audacious reply, claiming that we hadn't showed up on the 12th and, thus, it was our fault for having to buy a new ticket, though they just hadn't changed our booking. I even sent them the changed booking confirmation they had sent me for the amended booking but haven't heard from them since. NEVER BOOK WITH DIRECT FERRIES. They ARE going to steal your money. If there is anyone who knows any trick to get my money back I would appreciate it so much! J. Haefele.

Avoid this company IT'S A FRAUD!!!! I had to make a change to my booking, which they claim to be very easy to do through their website, and I never received a response!!! I had to end up buying a separate ticket directly with another ferry company, and I lost the money of the ticket I had bought with Direct Ferries. Their customer service is absolutely terrible. There is no phone number to call, and the people on the chat are not able to solve the problems. I am still waiting for feedback regarding my change request and a claim I issued. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN AND ADVISE EVERYONE AGAINST IT!!!

Total Fraud! TheTelephone number disactivated, no way to get in touch. The reservation number is no longer recognized since it was days ago, so the online form is not accepted. Keep away!!!

Awful company. AVOID using them. You are better off using the ferry website directly so you have more control over your booking should you need to book a seat, food, or change or cancel your reservation. We learned this the hard way and it cost us over 600 euros!!! What a SCAM.

They provided incorrect information and when I told them this meant I would have to cancel, they made it extremely difficult to do so and the cancellation fee kept increasing with each attempt I made. You should give an option for zero stars as that would be the only acceptable option in this case.

This is scam. We have done a ferry booking from Singapore to bintan and we had to cancel the booking due to visa issue. However, Direct ferries refused to do the refund stating that local operator refuse the refund. However, we checked this with local operator to know that direct ferry actually didn't make a cancelation request from local operator. And direct ferry didn't respond when we inquire about this. They don't have a contact number and we always receive an automatic reply for all the queries we made

Unfortunately, I had a very negative experience with this company. There is no real way to contact them in a timely manner causing major issues during travel. On two separate bookings with this company I was notified (and then not notified) of multiple departure time changes with no way to contact the company for the correct time. In once instance I arrived at port several hours too early and in another I missed the ferry completely, even though I arrived 1 hour early as instructed by Direct Ferries, and was forced to purchase new tickets on site from a third party. After an infuriating amount of time spent navigating their website and finally finding a way to contact them I received an automatic response that my reference number was invalid and my ticket was closed.

Direct Ferries is the worst company anyone can travel with, , I purchase 2 tickets from Sorrento to to Capri on line and when we got to the pier their tickets were not honored, they told us that we needed some kind of tickets that were never sent to us. at the pier in Sorrento going to Capri, we Had to buy new tickets. On that day I wrote them an email explaining what was happening to no avail, they never answered. I have written several emails and there’s no answer on their behalf, I requested and demanded a refund and nothing. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE THEY WILL ROBBED YOU.

I agree with everyone here!!! I picked an afternoon sailing for my fiancé. Her departure time was 4:30am and her arrival time was at 1:30am. Had they said that there were no afternoon sailings for the day I booked I would’ve picked an alternate day.
