BEWARE!! the slightest mistake and there is no return, no way to quickly get in touch. You might end up forced to buy another ticket at a high price with no way to get any compensation. Their app and web sites can be very confusing presenting false informations, P&O and Irish confirmed they have no way to contact them in case of error.

Terrible service. Don't give refund when ferries are cancelled. Ignore emails. Book with the ferry company direct.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. After weeks of attempting to amend a return Caen/Portsmouth booking and paying an exorbitant amount to do this, they took the money but did not let Brittany Ferries of the new booking. We arrived late at the port late at night to be told that we did not having a booking. Brittany Ferries squeezed us on but we were forced to spend in the night on seats, having lost our cabin reservation. Over a month later, we are STILL fighting for our reimbursement. It is impossible to phone or email Direct Ferries - you are forced to communicate via their website and each request is freshly created and closed by them, taking more than a week to prompt a reply. It has been an absolute nightmare.

Don't get scammed! I booked a ferry on their website after Googling "Ferry, Liverpool to Dublin". I live in the US and foolishly assumed that the listings were for that routing! Not until I got to the Stena Line terminal in Liverpool was I told that my ticket was from Holyhead, Wales - NOT Liverpool! The Stena agent was kind enough to book me on the Liverpool-Belfast trip at no additional cost, but the trip was 8 hours instead of the 3.5 I'd expected- and I had additional costs to get from the ferry terminal to the train station to take the train to Dublin and then another taxi to my hotel! Additionally, the refused to refund the ride that I booked through them from the Dublin terminal - a total EXTRA cost of about $200! And, when I requested a refund, I was basically called a "dumb American!"

This company is a scam. I booked a ticket with “cancellation coverage”. Upon receiving the tickets, I realized there was no indication of where the ferry port is on the ticket or anywhere on the website. I cancelled the ticket (given it has coverage) and they only reimbursed me part of my money. This company is a scam. I doubt the tickets I bought were even real. DO NOT USE.

I bought 2 trips from Dover to Calais and back for £143, but unfortunately got the dates wrong and had to change them. The site allowed to do the amendement and charged me £35 extra. Later I received an email stating "Unfortunately your booking cannot be amended", after being charged for this. I wrote over 5 or 6 messages on different days, since there is no phone number or customer service available, and a week later still never got any reply. The email only states that I have to pay more to get new dates, after which I will most likely get charged again and end up with the same message stating "Unfortunately your booking cannot be amended". My trip day is coming and I lost in total almost £200, was charged twice and I still don't have any trip and no refund or any contact. This is the worst company ever, and a scam. Avoid this company and just but the trips directly to the ferries or you will lose all your money and getting nothing in return, and you won't even be able to communicate with them.

The website works until you need to ask for support. From that point on you are in trouble. In my case, I had to change my return ticket to an open one. They told me that they did it, but in the system it appeared that I had travelled (so I couldn't manage my booking any more). Every time I am contacting the support I have to wait 3-5 days for a reply and the reply doesn't solve the problem. For the time being I am not in a hurry, but I already feel that they will keep dragging on and in the end, I will have to buy a new return ticket...

Direct Ferries downgraded our cabin, didn't tell us, didn't offer refund. After complaining they agreed a £53 refund by email. They never made the refund. Now their customer support are simply evasive and I can get nowhere. I never received the refund. Avoid using Direct Ferries like the plague, they add no value and evade their responsibilities. Instead book direct with the ferry operator, so much more professional.

No proper customer support, cancelation fee without prior notice The ticket for my trip to Catalina Island has been purchased from directferries.com. When I contacted a local company who worked with direct ferries, I have been told that I could cancel my ticket free of charge 24 hours before my trip. The ticket I purchased from direct ferries was canceled one month prior to the trip. Only 57$ was refunded for the 78$ ticket. The customer service number is unavailable. I won't do business with them again.

Whilst during covid, I was able to move my booking, on the return leg, my cabin which I had paid a premium, was removed. I have emailed 3 times and not a single response. There is no customer service when it comes to refunds.

Get ahead of this company! Direct Ferries is a huge disappointment. I will never book through Direct Ferries again. Despite current EU law, Direct Ferries refuses to refund my money. The trip was canceled due to Covid 2020 by Direct Ferries. Despite everything and numerous emails, I did not get my 300 € back. My friend, who booked the trip on the same day, got his money back without any problems. It looks as if you are helplessly at the mercy of the employees' arbitrariness. No direct contact is possible and the support is an absolute disaster. The employees try to shift all responsibility from themselves, get caught up in contradictions and are generally not oriented towards a solution .. simply embarrassing

I was diagnosed with Covid 19 and unable to travel, I tried to cancel and got nowhere. Direct Ferries stole the best part of £500 from my bank account. No telephone to contact them either.

I tried to cancel my ferry ahead of scheduled departure using their website. The interface let me think, as per usual - that it was cancelled - however I later found out that they sent an email needing a double confirmation for the cancellation - and thus it never got cancelled. I contacted customer service - who responded 2.5 months later. Basically saying they were not going to refund anything. Avoid.

I booked a ferry in Italy via Direct Ferries. Tried to add a cabin to my booking around 1 week before the sail. I have received no response from Direct whatsoever...

Literally stole our money We gave them 32 days notice of cancellation. There policy is 28 days. They tried to offer us half the money which I didn’t accept as that’s not there policy. Then they just took all our money and refused to give us any refund.

Booked a Moby Dick ferry from Genova to Olbia and back. Worst ferries in my life - no places to properly sit (people were sleeping on the floor), the temperature is as cold as in a refrigerator and the lights as bright as in an interrogation room. And this on a NIGHT ferry! Boarding and de-boarding highly chaotic. No surprise the ferries were always late (one hour to over two hours). And in case of problems, Moby blames it on DirectFerries and DirectFerries blames it on Moby...classical case of diffused (ir)responsibility at the expense of the customer. If you want to severely torpedo your Sardegna vacation, go on-board Moby Dick. If not then stay away.
