Delivery OK, on time but do not think the washing machine has been fitted correctly as there are issues. I would appreciate an engineer to attend and check that the fitting is correct.

I am still waiting for the replacement drawers for my Hotpoint ultima freezer compartment. I spoke with Hotpoint customer service 3 weeks ago and they said they were awaiting 2 drawers coming in. I've tried to contact Hotpoint but their automated message system does not recognise my post code

Brilliant at fixing appliances but I don't like the way they keep ringing to get more business. If I want to come over another appliance I will get in touch with them.

Everything is now working. The only comment I would make is I booked an appointment for 7.00 am to 8.15 so that I didn't have to take time off work. When the the appointment came through, it was for after 2 pm. I got time off but when you book a specific time you should try to honour it.

Was happy with engineer he told me cancel your policy and go buy new one. As we will never replace it.

Domestic and General I can't fault, the delivery company however is another story. Paid for installation and removal of old appliance. Spoke with the delivery team when they arrived, showed them where I wanted the fridge freezer positioned, where the water connection point was, "we fix that last" I was told. They unpacked the appliance and removed the outer packaging and took it to their van. I had to go out to remind them to remove the old freezer. This they did, I put on the kettle to offer them a drink but when they didn't return I found out they had driven off, leaving me to complete the unpacking and to connect to the water supply and move the large American fridge/freezer into position myself. This is not what I expected when I payed extra for a full installation and removal. In summary D&G get 10 out of 10, AITH the supplier get 3 out 10.

Our appliance was insured with domestic and general, when we suspected there was a fault it was so easy to report and book an engineer. The engineer kept in contact with me about the upcoming appointment, arrived when he was scheduled to, and was most helpful. He diagnosed the fault after just 5minutes and within the hour domestic and general had the follow up booked. Same day d&g contacted me to say that they had decided the machine had to be replaced and to go via a secure link and choose my new appliance! I had a choice of over 10 machines like for like as my appliance but different models and designs etc. I quickly found a replacement and within 24 hours it was scheduled to be delivered to me. Received after 48hrs. A very quick turnaround and I was most pleased and all I had to pay was an optional £20 charge to the delivery company to take my old appliance away for recycling which I was more than happy to do. D&G kept me updated at every step of the process and even after delivery have continued to email and check that everything is as it should be and have repurchased a new insurance policy with my new machine. Really glad we decided to insure our white goods and would definitely recommend to everyone that I tell about it.

I had insurance with my washing machine when I bought it as I know I wouldn’t be able to do anything should a problem arise. Domestic & General have been very good in helping me out. I had called their assistance twice since I bought my machine and the engineers are all friendly and very good with their job! Thanks D & G.

I had a domestic and general policy that I didn't claim on for a year. Couldn't they have given me six months for free. Well the answer was no they can't be bothered
