“I was looking forward to exploring the birds of New Brunswick and was not disappointed. The tour was as described on the Eagle Eye website. The varied habitats gave excellent opportunities to see a variety of birds not seen on the west coast where I live. The guides were excellent and went out of their way to find as many species as possible. The accommodation was good. I appreciated the all picnic and box lunches which kept us in the outdoors and minimized restaurant eating. Highlights for me was the pelagic boat trip, time on Grand Manan and the migrating semi-palmated sandpipers in the 10’s of thousands. (45000 the day we were there!)”
“Ken and Rudolf were absolutely amazing guides. I was able to get 20 life birds in this trip with a great time meeting other birders and seeing new areas.”
“The best part of this trip was our excellent guides. Ernesto and Paz found the birds and made sure that we had opportunities to all see them. The bus moved us efficiently from place to place and the accommodation and food were generally excellent. Eagle Eye from start to end kept me informed of changes and details of the trip.”
“Excellent and quick replies to any queries. Kind and caring staff who know their birds and other wildlife intimately. Just have to save for the next trip.”
“The Belize and Tikal trip is well organized and executed. Ernesto Carman, the Eagle-Eye guide, is one of the best Central America has to offer. He is the guide most birders hope for and literally birds from dawn to dusk (and sometimes beyond!) Ernesto appreciates that we cannot all keep pace with him and he is very understanding about one taking "personal time" to recharge. The accommodations and meals are quite adequate. Tikal is a very special aspect of the trip. The group has a one day pass and use this pass on the first full day in the park. I would recommend the organizers purchase a two day pass for the group. This would allow, on the second day, for anyone who so wishes, to return to the ruins for another visit.”
“This tour goes to hot spots, well-known to birders and popular at this time of year. We were grateful to be taken there by Kyle Schanta, our excellent leader, and to leave all the logistics to him and Eagle-Eye Tours.”
“The experience of the guides and their knowledge of all things natural was just wonderful! The wildlife viewed was amazing! The other adventurers were 'my people', loving nature and sharing their stories!”
“This was our third trip to Costa Rica, and still we saw so many new birds and had some very unique experiences. I would credit our guide Joachim Bertrands for making this comprehensive tour of Costa Rica so much fun and such a terrific success.”
“We had excellent looks at the Whooping cranes, and also saw almost 100 other bird species, and great looks at some mammals (moose, foxes etc.). Tour was well organised. An extra day in Prince Albert National Park would have made it even better though. Hotel was good but had a few issues. (Rooms were too bright at night, toilet paper was cheap and rough, shower was slippery with no mat) but food was excellent and efficient. Tour leaders/ drivers were excellent. Good photo ops.”
“I thoroughly enjoyed my Eagle-Eye Tour to New Brunswick and Grand Manan in August 2017! Our group bird count was approximately 125 birds - I ticked 40-odd life birds off my list, including my target sea birds! We also enjoyed whale, seal and porpoise sitings; lovely flowers and butterfly species in the beautiful scenic province. Jared Clark was an exceptional guide - patient, good humoured and an extremely knowledgeable birder and lover of nature. He did his best to make sure everyone in our group had their eye on the bird in sight! This was my first Eagle-Eye Tour and am sure it will not be my last!”
“Eagle Eye has a lot of birding trips we want to go on. Cape May NJ Bird Migration was our first trip. Eagle Eye is very organized and they have excellent guides. Their Newfoundland Grand Tour is on our bucket list.”
“We thoroughly enjoyed our birding trip with Skye Haas. He is an amazing professional ornithologist and very personable young man. He made every effort to assure all participants saw each species. He provided boundless information about the species we saw, their natural history, current population status and current distribution. Skye made our trip very informative and enjoyable. His enthusiasm for birding was infectious and we all were willing to put in long hours to see all the birds we possibly could find. This allowed us to document over 215 species. Kudos to Skye Haas!”
“This trip went off as planned because it was so well-planned. We stayed in a variety of places and got to see quite a variety of bird life. The guides were so knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I felt well taken care of the entire time. I would recommend this tour to other birders.”
“This trip was even better than we hoped. Eagle-Eye ensured that the logistical stuff went very smoothly and their personal thoughts on the trip proved timely and accurate. I commend their staff on helping us to get prepared with no hic-ups. The scenery and wildlife was amazing-- we saw our polar bears, walruses and Ivory Gull which were among our targets. The partnership with Adventure Canada ensured a wonderful holiday with great experts and lectures to help along the way. I cannot figure out how Eagle-Eye ensured the weather and ocean conditions were going to be so calm and peaceful.”
