“As an elderly self-taught player of around intermediate level, I have loved the distinctive sound of traditional clawhammer music for ever, but have struggled to produce it on my own instrument. After much searching on the internet I decided to purchase a Deering Vega Vintage Star, which is designed to produce that ‘old time’ sound.
I have had the instrument for a couple of weeks now and can honestly say it exceeds my expectations. I am delighted by its beautiful rich tone, having just the right brightness combined with the ‘plunky’ sound and, at last, that clear and distinctive ‘pop’ of the 5th string.
Built to the usual Deering high quality, this banjo boasts a fibreskin head, 12-inch violin grade maple rim and a Dobson brass tone ring which all combine to make this such a good instrument. The medium weight makes it easy to hold and the overall playability is excellent.
Anyone who loves clawhammer will certainly love the Vintage Star which I highly recommend.”
“As a harmonica player, Eagle Music are one of three UK suppliers I use. They have a wide range of products including spare parts and accessories, prices are reasonable, and delivery prompt. Great supplier!”
“I purchased a Seydel 1847 Lightning harmonica and a Nightingale tin whistle from Eagle Music Shop. They had run out of stock of the Nightingale tin whistle, so they promptly refunded my money. My harmonica arrived in 1 working day (overnight) and was in good condition. I am delighted with my new harmonica, and I am impressed by the vast selection of quality instruments that they sell. I am currently saving up for a banjo that I hope to learn soon. I highly recommend Eagle Music Shop.”
“I've ordered various parts from Eagle over the past few years. I've always experienced fast shipping and good prices on the items. Would happily recommend Eagle any day off the week.”
“You’ll be hard pushed to find a nicer bunch of people to buy music stuff from. I’ve had a few items from them recently and they have always been helpful and friendly; your local music shop, but on the web!”
