placed an order for a car that was available, made payment 2 hours later i get an email to say my order is cancelled as the car is not available! very poor service in my opinion!

Has to be the worst company to work with. I booked a car for my stay in Colombia. When I got to the car rental place, they had no cars available for me. I had to go to another rental company and waste 2 hours waiting for a car. After my trip I tried working with Booking Group on a refund and they took forever to get back to me just to deny my claim. Just sent me some templated excuse. They didn't even look into the matter. Will never use them again.

You could not adjust a pending hire so you had to cancel it and then could not give me the same price as I had before 3 hours on and off phone with no satisfaction. see my original price attached my new booking is not the same cost.

I had a reservation. I realised that I only had 1 hour to pick the car - I think it is very little time . Since there may be flights delays I got worried and I asked by email if they could move my pick up time 1.5 hour later. They told me I had to cancel my booking and book again (modifying my reservation would have been much easier). That I would get an electronic refund that I could apply to my new booking. I went through all of the procedure. In the original reservation they had only charged me a part of the total amount (the rest to be paid at pick up). In the new reservation they required me to pay the full cost. Supposedly minus the 69 euros they had charged in the original reserve. Leading to a total of 105 euros. I attach a screenshot. However, the confirmation from my bank asked for the total amount of 175. I have accepted it. It is late at night and I have lost 1 hour in all of this bureaucracy. Let's see what happens tomorrow else I will have to complain with my bank.

Warning! No support if problems show up. In fall of 2024, I booked two rental cars with Economy Bookings in the USA and Canada. The first booking went smoothly, but the second time in the USA, the rental company didn't have the booked vehicle type available (even though it had been confirmed by Economy Bookings just three days prior). I therefore had to book with another rental company at short notice. Regarding the refund of the entire booking cost, which they had previously promised over the phone, the rental company (Budget) referred me to Economy Bookings, as the payment had been processed through them. All attempts to obtain a refund from Economy Bookings were repeatedly met with a three-stage automated stalling process (Did you have any problems? - We're sorry, what was the problem? - Please send the following documents - Silence). Even direct emails were ignored. Conclusion: A total loss for me, and I will never use Economy Bookings again; I will only book directly with the rental companies.

I wanted to edit my booking dates. This company did not allow editing, so I had to cancel my booking (losing $50 in the process) with a credit made. However, when I rebooked, they took a credit card amount instead of the credit.

I paid $382.17 upfront and was told I would owe $0 when I picked up the car but Easirent (the actual car rental company) charged me $518.99, $400 to drop the car off at a different location (even though I booked it to go to the different location on EconomyBookings.com) and then miscellaneous fees and taxes amounting to $118.99. I had to pay this in order to get a car and this put me in a difficult situation. I paid only because I knew Economy Bookings should refund me but they have not. They clearly said I would owe $0 on pickup but I had to pay more than what I paid them ($518.99). I reached out to their customer support over two weeks ago and they still haven’t responded. I put in a complaint on another review site and their customer service team commented saying I should reach out but I’ve reached out numerous times and they fail to respond. Avoid booking with them at all costs.

I have been in contact with the company since 17th of September but am getting no response from them or the car hire company. Don't use it for car hire.

Warning. I made a booking in USA through bookinggroup / econoybooking for october 2024. When arriving in time at the rental office a suitable car was not available. They (budget) told me that refund would be made easily, but as I booked through bookinggroup this had to be done through bookinggroup. I contacted bookinggroup by their contacadress immediately and rented a car at another rental company. Since then bookinggroup kept me in an automated recuring e-mail circle: - have you been satisfied? - send us your information - send us proof of beeing on place ... then nothing happens I restart again, same procedure from bookingcom over and over again. Direct E-Mail will not be answered. So don't use this company, your booking might be an entire loss if something goes wrong with the rental agency!!

Scammers. I cancelled the booking because I booked by mistake for 8 days, instead of 7. When I go back to book for 7 days the exact same booking, they charged me more than it originally was for 8 days.

I chose Pickup in sydney and drop off in melboune. The site could not find any deals for me so i chose sydney east, but then it changed the booking to pickup and drop off in both places!!! I stupidly didn't notice and went ahead with the booking and forced to cancel it and have my funds places in the e-wallet. Very bad user experience that your inputs change unintentionally.

Très mauvaise expérience : réservation confirmée en ligne, puis annulée quelques minutes plus tard car le véhicule n’était finalement pas disponible. Aucune solution de remplacement proposée. Manque de sérieux et de fiabilité.

Rented car in Faro, Klass Wagen. They are a scam company trying hard to sell you their insurance or find fault with your booking so they can cancel the booking and sell you a rental at their vastly inflated price. The booking group are not interested in helping resolve the issue. Use them at your peril.

It's an awful company. They made me pay for a cancellation policy that is called "last minute" but instead is a "last hour" cancellation. Even worse, there were no way to cancel the reservation since the time to get the car was in 15 minutes. So what's the point in selling a cancellation extra that the client simply CANT use because of the hour? Bunch of thieves...
