“I ordered extra products to reach the minimum spend to avoid paying the £25 delivery charge. Delivered on the day as stated. I checked and all the wood was there including a small package which was tightly wrapped in plastic, tape and address labels. I didn't open this on delivery as the only item it could have been were the decking screws. I wish I had opened it as it was meant to contain 2 boxes of screws and they only sent one. I didn't start on the deck until two weeks after it was delivered. Once I noticed the lack of two boxes I contacted eDecks. They have refused to refund the money for the missing screws stating you have 48 hours to tell them of errors. Thanks eDecks for your lack of customer service and understanding.”
“Delivery is exceptional! All the timber I recieved was fairly straight. My two bug bears is that some of the 4x2 was really rough, edges missing or massive machine marks in it. What as really a problem was the large amount of timber grade print on it. I'm used to maybe one per length but this is every foot! Making a veranda look pretty naff :(”
“Disappointed with the quality and thought the delivery a bit expensive (at £50).
One of the joists was badly warped, and a board damaged. Half the decking boards and a couple of the joists were also soaking wet, so really difficult to work with. From this I assume that the stock is stored outside so I think perhaps this could made clear on their website.
To be fair to the company I think that they would have refunded / replaced the items had I contacted them immediately on delivery. However, I had set aside the time to install and was able to work around the issues. They replied very quickly when I contacted them after installation, stating, - "We are sorry to hear that you had some issues. Should this have been raised prior to altering the goods we would have happily assisted you further to resolve your issues. At eDecks we would not want any customer to be unhappy with their received goods. We would like to offer a voucher code for use on a future order as an apology for the inconvenience caused"”
“Excellent speed of delivery....but several wood beams were badly warped and the metal brackets provided were too flexible and not really fit for purpose. Pergola looks ok now its up though.”
“Some decks were damaged, not much but enough to notice. I ordered a fascia board which was longer than the other boards. This was not delivered and querying it proved long winded and difficult. I ended up paying nearly £50 for one board to be delivered because builder needed it to finish the project job. Other than this the decks were delivered promptly and their price was reasonable.”
“The products were good and well priced except for the post crete which was rather expensive at £16plus a bag when it is only £4.70 at B&Q, When I questioned a sales person who stated it was for the delivery that I thought was free over £100 spent”
“I decided to buy the 'chunky' decking kit as it stated that as well as 33mm decking it came with upgraded decking joists (4" rather than 3.5").
The order came with 3.5" joists and it wasn't until it had arrived that I remembered the web site had said about the upgraded decking joists and the order did clearly state 3.5" so i suppose it is my fault but I am left feeling I paid for the 'superior' product but received the standard one and after forking out over £1,700 that leaves a sour taste.
On the plus side the decking is in good condition and I can make the joists work.
I do think given the cost things like joist supports could have been included instead of the two screws at an angle technique and also the fact they took about a quarter of the weed membrane off instead of just giving you the whole roll. A bit tight.”
“Placed my order did not receive email confirmation, called them next day, confirmed they had recieved my order, asked about a delivery date, they said will receive email confirming delivery, also driver will contact me 1 hour before. The next day I left my home at 06.15am and as I stepped out my front door found my delivery left there. 5 large fence panels, 5 X 7ft posts, 5 gravel boards and 3 fence spikes. Hence my 3 stars, bad communication regarding my order. The actual products are good quality.”
“Good selection,but delivery was way outside 3-5 days more like 10days,plus there were no caps for them,misguided as the add shows them with the caps on,so then I had to contact them and tell them their add is misleading,but I still had to pay for the caps and postage,I could have had them sent down with the posts had I known.”
