“nice clean flat, lots of space, cheap for the quality and location, good communication with landlord, only problem was the facilities lacked in a few basic items such as oven gloves and cooking appliances were limited, the kettle was also broken. however definitely a good stay and would recommend it.”
“Perfectly adequate and welcoming flat in good location between city centre and rejuvenated dockland area. Very reasonably priced. Very helpful owner. Could do with a couple of barstools to allow eating at the counter rather than on the sofa.”
“Very impressed with the flat and quiet central location.
With the exception of the central heating not working on our last two days we had a very enjoyable stay and would certainly look to book this flat again in the future.”
“Overall great flat, good location with access to Edinburgh's main tourist sites. Close to shops and markets for self-catering. Clean tidy and well appointed. Could do with a few extra pots and pans.”
“Well equipped ground floor flat handy the city.
Friendly welcome from owner.
We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to recommend this flat to others.”
“good accommodation for a visit to the Edinburgh.
short bus ride from downtown.
Old but comfortable apartment
gracious proprietary extremely helpful and friendly”
“We stayed here recently. The 3bedroom flat was a lot bigger than we were expecting with good sized rooms-although the top bunk bed stairs looko a bit hickety!
The heating/tv and showers were all easy to work-and the flat itself was easily located and very central- so no extra costs on transports!
Only negative from us- is that edinburgh flats took a while to reply to emails/phone calls leaving us all very out the loop! But we got there in the end- and had aa great stay- and will use the flat again.”
“This flat was perfect for our stay (four girl friends) actually the flat made our stay more funny. I agree that a young family would have a problem with the three flights of stairs but for adult travellers it is perfect.
On arrival it was clean and modern and the tea and pint of milk in the fridge was much appreciated. It was a good base. Reading the other reviews problems with neighbours seemed to be a problem but it was quiet and it looked like maybe the flat had changed hands. Great to be in sight of the castle and minutes away from the Royal Mile. The flat itself was great, if your above 6 foot be prepared to leave the toilet door open though.
The neighbourhood was somewhat 'colourful' but what do you expect for a central location. Perfect for younger travellers.
Thank you to Gill who was so welcoming.”
“We enjoyed our stay at the wonderfully situates flat.
Rose street is very busy but there was no outside noise because of the double glasing. However there were some disturbances from the flat upstairs.
We were short of wine glasses but after contacting central office, they were delivered quickly.
We would recommend the apartment.”
“good location (just 3 bus stops from the burg)
relatively quiet, walking distance to Leith walkway, botanic garden, national gallery, museum of modern art etc.
technically quite modern equipped, bath is a bit narrow but ok, Computer access is great.
Thanks. We liked it a lot!”
“This flat was located on top of the royal mile, so the location could not be better! The flat had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. Although the flat was small (just one double bed and a small sofa bed)there was enough room for 3 people to share. Overall we were really pleased and would definately stay there again.”
“I stayed here with some friends during the fringe festival. it's a quiet location about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the top end of princes st. the quietness was not a problem though as we were out around the city most of the time. the flat is excellent condition and was a good size. it offered superb value considering we were visiting for a weekend in the middle of August. would certainly recommend - and will keep the details for a future visit!”
“We enjoyed our stay in Leith and found the flat a very convenient base for getting into Edinburgh. The accommodation, though small, was pristine, comfortable and well-equipped. We particularly appreciated its outlook over the Waters of Leith.”
“This is a very nice 2 bedroom apartment situated a few minutes drive from the city centre. Retail park with supermarket, etc directly across the road was a bonus for getting supplies. The apartment itself was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. An ideal place to base yourself. The only issue that may affect visitors is the 5 flights of stairs leading to the apartment. Highly recommended and we will be back :-)”
“Good location - owner very polite and helpful when he met us with good contact before we went - everything we needed was in the apartment - now considering staying again next year.”
“The flat was very well equipped with all mod-cons required for a comfortable stay. The welcome was very warm. There was plenty of room for all the family. There is a bus stop directly opposite the front door which takes you into the centre of Edinburgh in approx 5 mins. There is a selection of local shops, takeaways and pubs within easy reach. Murrayfield stadium is around the corner from the flat (although we did not go there ourselves). Landlord supplied excellent information regarding the flat, local area and events (we stayed during the fringe festival). The only minor problem was slight traffic noise as the property is on a main road. Really enjoyed our stay in Edinburgh and the flat was a welcome break at the end of very hectic days!”
