“We stayed during the Fringe Festival and we couldn't have had a better location literally only 5 mins from 2 of the main venues and 10 mins from another, and from Waverley. Very comfortable flat, everything you need, some very welcome essentials in place on arrival. Lots of good resturants locally Also a good view of the fireworks from the castle from the top floor window! Brilliant! would definatley stay again.”
“The flat was very clean, fully equipped as stated. The location was in a peaceful environment.
We had easy access to the bus stop which was around a corner, local shops & fuel station which wasn't too far either.
I would surely recommend this flat.”
“This is a wonderful apartment with excellent facilities. It was great to leave the hectic pace in Edinburgh and go back to the peace of Tait Wynd.
Thoroughly recommend it.”
“Great flat for a week at the Edinburgh Fringe. Much bigger than I'd thought from the photos, very light and comfortable and only ten minutes walk into the city. Maggie (the owner) was friendly and helpful - I would go back.”
“Location of flat was perfect, beds very comfortable. But bathroom door didn't close properly, shower had erratic on/off button, needs replacing.
Smell of damp in loo and bathroom made atmosphere rather depressing. Needs redecoration and damp attended to.”
“We really enjoyed our stay here. The flat is equipped really well with all you need to feel almost like you are at home- lots of DVDs, CDs, books, magazines, local maps etc. Cooking facilities are also very good, so is everything else. Located roughly 20-30 mins walk from the centre with decent public transport connection. Cab from the train station cost £7 only. I would recommend the place.”
“This is a very nice 2 bedroom apartment situated a few minutes drive from the city centre. Retail park with supermarket, etc directly across the road was a bonus for getting supplies. The apartment itself was nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. An ideal place to base yourself. The only issue that may affect visitors is the 5 flights of stairs leading to the apartment. Highly recommended and we will be back :-)”
“The apartment was clean, comfortable and centrally located to festival venues and the town. Tea, coffee and milk, clean towels and bedding provided as well. However, the Bathroom/Toilet was uncomfortably small - requiring us to walk in sideways - crab-fashion. The sink was too small to wash your face/brush your teeth, so with 5 people sharing the flat, we had to resort to using the kitchen sink just to wash our faces/brush our teeth. The wifi didn't work.”
“We enjoyed our stay in Leith and found the flat a very convenient base for getting into Edinburgh. The accommodation, though small, was pristine, comfortable and well-equipped. We particularly appreciated its outlook over the Waters of Leith.”
“Stayed here this bank holiday weekend to see Tattoo.
Gordon , the owner of the apartment was really helpful and made sure the transaction was smooth and easy.
Will be returning!”
“Beautiful apartment in a quiet estate north of the city centre. Although not right in the centre, the short walk from the apartment to the centre was extremely pleasant. Landlords extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful - it was a pleasure to be in their company. The apartment itself was beautifully furnished - a stunning bedroom, luxurious bathroom, and a lovely private living area with roof-top terrace. Would definitely recommend, and will hopefully be returning myself!”
“I stayed here with some friends during the fringe festival. it's a quiet location about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the top end of princes st. the quietness was not a problem though as we were out around the city most of the time. the flat is excellent condition and was a good size. it offered superb value considering we were visiting for a weekend in the middle of August. would certainly recommend - and will keep the details for a future visit!”
“The communal entrance/corridor of this apartment building is dingy which is a shame and in no way reflects the flat itself, which is lovely. Beautifully decorated, with spacious living area, high ceilings, wifi and very comfortable beds everything in the apartment is done to an incredibly high standard. While not centrally located, the neighbourhood surrounding boasts a huge supermarket, lovely cafes and pubs. It is only about a 20 minute walk to Princes Street and peaceful and quiet with little noise from the street or neighbours. This was the perfect flat to stay in during the Festival and I am going to book it again for next year! Highly recommended.”
“We had wonderful days in Edinburgh durchung our stay in Marchmont road. The appartment is very nice we a beautiful view on the castle and the hills of holyrood park. It is well equiped, three bedrooms, a large living room and also a large kitchen.
It's a short walk to the town centre through the park. Ideally suited for holidays in town.
Thanks for letting us stay there.
Greetings from Germany”
“Enjoyed out stay with friends from Ireland. Very clean and spacious. Everything was there in flat that we needed. Nice to be met at flat by Mike and to be shown around flat.”
“Very clean, modernised apartment in the old town, in close proximity to the Grassmarket and Royal Mile. The booking arrangements were all clear and straight forward, and the owner provided helpful support. We enjoyed our stay very much.”
“Rented this apartment for an extended weekend during the Fringe. Lovely well appointed flat close to most of the major venues. Lesley was lovely and helpful so would highly recommend!”
“We had such a wonderful stay here - beautiful flat, well-furnished and in a great location. Would definitely stay here again without any hesitation. To be more specific - it had wireless, fantastically comfortable beds, huge windows with great views, beautiful wooden floors, TV, books, good shower, fantastic coffee shop opposite, quiet neighbourhood yet very near the centre of the city.”
“The flat had huge high ceilinged rooms. It was on the ground floor so good for people of limited mobility. It was well furnished and spotlessly clean. The owner doesn't give a welcome pack so make sure you bring your own bread, milk, coffee etc. Morningside is a lovely quiet safe area and 15 minutes on the bus to the City Centre.”
