“The apartment is spacious, very well furnished, centrally located (5-7 min taxi ride to the city center). The owner is very helpful and prompt in response. We were a family group with aged parents and all of us had a great time.”
“good accommodation for a visit to the Edinburgh.
short bus ride from downtown.
Old but comfortable apartment
gracious proprietary extremely helpful and friendly”
“The flat is a nice, compact, warm central flat which is surprisingly quiet for the centre of Edinburgh. We enjoyed our stay although not the stairs up to it. The keys were easily obtained from just a short walk away.”
“First of all, i would like to say thank you to Gill, Janet, Lenore and John for great services and comunication. Warm welcome from John was nice. The flat itself is very well situated with great view to the city. The lift is going to 4th floor from 2nd floor, entrance is clean. Flat is very cozy, you will find there everything you may need, kitchen is equiped will all necesary things, also the bathroom and bedroom. You have to bring your own reduction to plug (EU connectors) to run all your devices. Our stay here was exciting with no problems during whole stay. We can only recommend this flat to you, will for sure return here in few years. Thank you !”
“This apartment is located perfectly for those wanting to explore Edinburgh on foot, seconds from Princes Street.
It is well furnished, clean, and has a bed to die for.
The owner makes it an easy experience with excellent communication and flexibility.
We are already considering a return visit.”
“We stayed here recently. The 3bedroom flat was a lot bigger than we were expecting with good sized rooms-although the top bunk bed stairs looko a bit hickety!
The heating/tv and showers were all easy to work-and the flat itself was easily located and very central- so no extra costs on transports!
Only negative from us- is that edinburgh flats took a while to reply to emails/phone calls leaving us all very out the loop! But we got there in the end- and had aa great stay- and will use the flat again.”
“This lovely 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom flat was bright, clean, modern, well-equipped and conveniently located. It was a pleasure to have such a comfortable home-away-from home.”
“We had the pleasure of staying here for a week mid-Sept (2011). It is very comfortable with seemingly the best pillows in all of the UK (as compared to the dozen or so hotel stays we've experienced). The fireplace-heater added warmth and ambiance even though the radiant heaters in each room were more than sufficient. Toby, the owner, had local brochures and maps on hand and every spice known to mankind in the kitchen. Though we didn't need to dip into his food supply, he sweetly offered us pasta and sauce plus other items since we arrived so late on our first day. We were thrilled to have a washing machine and were grateful to Toby for supplying laundry detergent. His drying rack system is ingenious and works beautifully to dry clothes overnight. The apartment is filled with light during the day with skylights in the smaller bedroom and in the hallway. The internet connection worked flawlessly and quickly. Best of all, Toby himself is a delight. With his masters in art history, he would make an excellent and enthusiastic local tour guide and offered to show us around. We wanted to hire him for this purpose but couldn't get our act together in time to take advantage of the opportunity. I would *absolutely* stay here again and recommend it and Toby highly.”
“Lovely flat, clean, spacious and had everything included you could need. Shops nearby for food essentials but the owner provides the basics. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Bus stop on the doorstep and is ten minutes from the centre. You could walk no problem but as we were traveling with young children we used the bus and taxis. We would definately recommend this flat to anyone planning a stay in Edinburgh.”
“Had a great stay in the flat during the Fringe. Really nicely and practically furnished, just right as a base for the Fringe and with a lovely view of Arthur's Seat every morning. Walking distance of the main sites, and really convenient buses for when you don't want to. Would definitely stay again.”
“My wife and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for the month of the festival season. The location is great and served as a convenient base for exploring all parts of Edinburgh.
I have always wanted to visit Edinburgh during festival season, and renting from Symon and Kim made it so much more enjoyable. The bedroom is nice and spacious, the water pressure in the shower is excellent, and the skylight in the kitchen provided the perfect amount of sun while cooking and eating.
If visiting Edinburgh again, this apartment would be our first option!”
“We've enjoyed our stay at the apartment very much,It has everything we need and it's not far from the city centre.Another impressive thing is edinburgh flats staffs who provided us helpful service throughout our stay.”
“The flat is located in a calm street (cul de sac), clean and pretty. The flat with two separate sleeping rooms is very well equipped.
The garage is very narrow, but it seems that is the case for many garages in UK.
We would be ready to relet this flat at the time of a forthcoming trip. Access to the city by bus is correct.”
“This flat was perfect for our stay (four girl friends) actually the flat made our stay more funny. I agree that a young family would have a problem with the three flights of stairs but for adult travellers it is perfect.
On arrival it was clean and modern and the tea and pint of milk in the fridge was much appreciated. It was a good base. Reading the other reviews problems with neighbours seemed to be a problem but it was quiet and it looked like maybe the flat had changed hands. Great to be in sight of the castle and minutes away from the Royal Mile. The flat itself was great, if your above 6 foot be prepared to leave the toilet door open though.
The neighbourhood was somewhat 'colourful' but what do you expect for a central location. Perfect for younger travellers.
Thank you to Gill who was so welcoming.”
