A very central location beneath the castle. Good access to all attractions including pubs and cafes at night within walking distance. The flat itself has everything you need though the cooker could do with a good clean and some TLC. Parking in the day time is an issue though for a few days it can be overcome. We parked out at Murrayfield and walked in and out. All in all Edinburgh is a great city and your flat allowed us to enjoy our experience. Thanks very much.

The flat was well eqipped for our stay. there were 3 adults and 1 child. The flat was was clean, roomy and quite modern. The location in Leith was good for us visiting relatives but only a bus ride away from the main attractions. Would definitely recommend this flat.

hi on arrival we were met with the key and the owner showed us around and how the heating worked and the free WIFI. we settled in and discovered that it was a lovely flat spacious and very accommodating we were a party of 4 adults and 1 toddler. we found there was enough space for all of us. the kitchen fittings were a high standard and well equipped. a great flat would rate highly i would stay here again if i were to return to edinburgh.

Although this is a flat not 'dead' in the centre it is well worth it! The owners live next door and are friendly, helpful but not overbearing. Nothing was left to chance and we even had a welcome pack including a lovely bottle of wine. The cottage is superbly decorated and was excellent for exploring the city. I cannot recommend this cottage enough we had a brilliant stay and will stay again! Thanks to Bill and Margaret for a fantastic stay in Edinburgh.

I stayed here with my husband and two children (aged 10 and 13) for a week. The apartment was ideal for us: it is spacious (much more so than it appears in the pictures) well equipped, beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. It is within easy walking distance from the city centre, close to some very nice shops and restaurants and very close to a handy Sainsbury's. The area is safe and quiet. Highly recommended.

We had a great short break, flat is in a great location and is very comfortable and well equipped. The balcony was a big hit with the kids (age 7), that extra outdoor space. Booking, paying and meeting / greeting all very smooth.

Good jogging along the Water of Leith walkway. Excellent seafood restaurants and pubs in short walking distance. Regular buses to Edinburgh from just round corner. Free parking. Wifi. Nearby Tesco means self catering is easy. Well equipped kitchen.

We thoroughly enjoyed all at HeriotHill Terrace. The Flat`s decor + cleanliness, location for central Edinburgh and nearby Tesco`s, the Supermarket were plusses, so too was the quiet, trouble-free neighbourhood. I recommend it and want to return another time.

I loved this quirky little flat and its location, very quiet and beautifully appointed. So near to many wonderful places to eat. Loved Bibi's Bakehouse. The owners were delightful and had got me the Edinburgh property paper as they knew I was looking for a new home in the city which I purused while drinking the wine they left.

The location could not have been better as the flat is within easy walking distance and on a good bus route into Edinburgh. A bus stop near to go to see the Royal Yacht, well worth a visit. Also near to the Water of Leith wehad a beautiful walk to the Modern Art Gallery. We could not have asked for more. the flat was very clean, beautifully presented, has great views north over the city and we recived a very good welcoming basket. We really felt that the owner cared for the place.

Beautifully done up flat in very central location - you can see the castle from the front rooms that are also overlooking the Grassmarket! (Hence also notable night-life noises if that disturbs you) Spiral staircase may be a consideration for some - but our boys loved it. Only consideration for us was the parking - you can stay securely in a hotel car-park 2 minutes walk away for £15 a night, but for loading/off-loading it was a bit tricky to pull in next to the entrance. But we'll definitely come back!

As I have been to Edinburgh many times before and also lived there for a year, I know the city well and tried to find a place which makes us feel at home in a nice area which is not touristy but close to all the tourist attractions. The flat was exactly what we were looking for and a perfect home base for us while we spend 6 days in Edinburgh! It is beautifully arranged with lots of details, very well equipped and perfectly located. The kitchen has everything one needs for cooking, there are loads of information about Edinburgh and the area in books, easy food shopping (whole-food store around the corner), nice little restaurants just opposite of the house. The area is interesting with its cafes, restaurants, art galleries and arty shops. It is in walking distance to the main sightings in the centre and also to the shopping area. Thanks to the windy weather we caught a cold and even while being a bit sick we still felt at home, having a hot whirlpool-bath and chilling on the sofa at night. Charlotte has got a beautiful place that she rents out and is totally welcoming and helpful! So everything gave us the feeling of "being at home". We surely will be back for our next stay!
