“I received multiple competitive offers. The sales reps were responsive to my requests for modest changes when I asked. What is unclear to me at this point is the quality of the installation though Energy Sage does provide some information on the issue: those with the longer track results of good results get the higher certification level. One minor note of caution: few firms use software that includes the latest fire code changes adopted by many towns that restrict panel placement. Simply overlaying a graphic of solar panels on a Google Earth image will often not be accurate. As such, those with limited roof space may want to read up on their local code to have a more accurate understanding of what is and is not possible for their roof. A comparison of the sample panel layouts from the different bidders can hint at which firms are more detail-oriented and which ones may lead to more surprises at the on-site visit, installation, or city inspection.”

“Start with, their great.this company is the middle man, at no change, between the solar suppliers and you. If you ever dealt with solar suppliers you know once they have your phone number ,there's no letting up with phone calls. They go out and get you several quotes from vetted suppliers. The quotes you get will be easy to compare . The quotes will cover the same topics in the same order. EnergySage evaluates the solar company,the equipment that's going to be used, and general savings. It's worth trying them out.”

“I had a great experience with EnergySage. I used it to be an unbiased source of information to help me pick a vendor. At one point in the process, I had a question that my two leading candidates were answering in conflicting ways. I made a 15-minute appointment with an EnergySage expert and he was able to clarify the issue immediately. Then I used the site to evaluate the quality of the parts that each vendor was offering. Bottom line, I recommend this site (service) without hesitation. Thank you very much EnergySage.”

“Our first meeting with our EnergySage advisor was excellent, and very informative. It was very nice to learn about solar without the pressure of a sales pitch. However, the quotes that we recieved were not acceptable for many reasons (claimed to be local, but were actually out of state; very predatory solar financing options; and inaccurate power needs calculation). It really is the wild west right now with solar - lots of companies with very different prices and products. We recontacted our EnergySage advisor and he said that he would evaluate our options and get back to us. We were never contacted again. We decided not to get solar at this time.”
