After British gas were too busy to attend, they suggested that I call a local tradesman because, as her carer, I didn't want to leave an elderly,disabled lady with no heating or hot water. After promising to come on Sunday afternoon, they arrived Monday morning. The engineer didn't have a clue what to do. He left an hour later, boiler in same condition as when he arrived. Another tradesman told us the problem and situation rectified in minutes. The problem, NO BATTERIES IN THE HIVE! My advice, if you don't know, don't come and certainly don't charge the vulnerable! !

charged for callout and temporary repair of gas boiler £162.00. Gave me a quote for the repair of £ 650.00 Labour and parts. Got a local gas company out result nothing wrong with my Gas boiler just needed water top up cost £80.00. ERG total waste of time and money ripp off company. cheers Dee

DO NOT USE, called out for urgent repair n booked service for same time. Was here under 1 hr, charged me for both nearly £400. Not working again today to b told would need to pass to sales to request another call out, subject to £145 call out charge n costs, I never received any invoices nor proof of work carried out, bank statement came in and 2 withdrawals made from my account on same day, queried this n promised details would b sent but none received. Tried to escalate complaint advised they have no governing Bodley n were not obligated to give me any information!!

So sad to see that multiple other people have had the same experience I had with ERG. I booked for an engineer to fix some urgent electrical issues in my home. The engineer came out and stated the work was not doable, advised I contact my second choice engineers and told me he would contact ERG to let them know and cancel. I was charged £162 for this and after talking to their customer support was told that because I didn’t cancel beforehand (which I didn’t do because I didn’t know this engineer wouldn’t be able to do the work), I wasn’t entitled to a refund and was pointed to their terms and conditions to clarify this. I am already struggling to make ends meet and now can’t afford to get this work completed and ensure my home is safe because of ERGs practices. I’d hope during a time when so many are struggling in the UK a company would have some human empathy but not ERG.

Use at your PERILS. Dreadful company. Very very expensive for a "Call Centre". All they want is your card details. Don't, don't use them. Charged me £219 for half hours work. Price was more than the original quote for no real reason. Tried to complain, most unsympathetic. I'm going to use all social media available to hinder these Cowboys. Facebook done, now Checkatrade then Twitter etc.

Absolutely the worst experience with regard to service from supposed pros. They took my bank details quoted £145 +vat for a boiler service and to look at a control panel issue and informed me that there may be a further charge for parts which would be notified before any works were carried out. They took £340 from my a/c with no additional works carried out, never issued a customer ref no/job no, 6+ calls and 3 weeks later I’m still waiting on an invoice and a refund. The gas engineer issued a cert stating the boiler had passed but required parts????? May not be safety critical but will be reporting to gas safe anyway.

Scammers, plain and simple. When you hear someone asking for bank details before the job is being even confirmed, drop the call.

You must not ever give your bank details to this company. They take charges without permission and when you complain you don't get any remedy. You are given an apology and sent on your way. Awful tactics.

AVOID! DO NOT GO NEAR even with 9 barge poles! Rip off, arrogant, Charged me twice what the firm who did the work would have charged.

Avoid Avoid Avoid at all costs. You certainly don't get the service you think you're getting. Engineer was useless and call centre misled you with the service promised and the price quoted. If you have booked, cancel asap.

You bastards ERG. Thanks to you, the freezing house I have had tp put up with for weeks is now out of bounds for me. I have been suffering from hypothermia and am now in hospital, slowly recovering from my awful experience at home. I hope that you are happy with the situation! Bastards!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been waiting for over two weeks for this disreputable company to come and remove a new boiler motor which does not work. I am sitting in a freezing house with no heating and I am eighty years old. I sit in my house with my coat on all the time and if I die of hypothermia, this company will be culpable of manslaughter. They took my money , well over £1000 for a job which was not done. Do not deal with them at all. They are fraudsters and crooks. Beware, of them at all costs.

Appalling company. Charged £258 to clear a drain. 8 days later drain blocked again and they wanted to charge again for coming back. When I complained they apologised for the way I felt but no apology for failing to do the job properly. They don’t deserve to be in business.

This company is a rip off.!!! I was asked for my bank details immediately. I was left all over Xmas with no heating and no hot water with a young child. They took £234 out of my account for what they called a diagnosis, which a child could have worked out. Have check and no one has ever heard of a diagnosis charge.Someone came for 10 minutes, and did nothing, but look,and told me what he thought it was.He said he would contact me when he could do it and with a price, which he did ,but it was extortionate, and I said no I checked my bank and they had helped themselves to £234.which I cannot retrieve. I have since had my heating fixed with a local plumber for a fraction of the price. I do not recommend this company. In me opinion, they are dishonest.!!!

It's a cold Christmas and new year thanks to ERG FACILITIES LTD. Disguise themselves as a local service when they are based nowhere near. Say no call out fee if work is conducted on emergency boiler repairs. Apparently the 198 pound they charged me to have someone look for 10 mins and say 2 parts were broken and turn it off again is not a call out charge. They quoted me a further 560 quid and refused to see that this initial cost is a call out fee and should be waved if I got the work done as it clearly states in their webpage advertising. The lying engineer even said the office was shut so couldn't order the part that day so he could get an early finish and probably a way around not having to wave the call out fee. I had to chase up what was going on as all I did was get charged this ridiculous amount for 10 mins work and there was no further info as to what was going on until I chased it up. I'm in the wrong line of work. He got 198 quid for ten mins work and he didnt even have to provide paperwork or tell the office what was going on until I mithered em. Absolute thieves, not paying this on top of the 198 I've already paid when they clearly are out to mislead you into thinking they will wave the call out cost and you need someone ASAP so willing to pay a bit extra (but not loads of hidden fees 😡). I'm nearly 200 pound down and still 2 days without heating or hot water and a headache from the shambles of customer service. Please avoid their services and any that use similar misleading advertising. Completely take advantage and are shameless once they are caught out too.

Absolutely horrible service, they charged £200 for less than 15 minutes and that does not carry over or include the labour when they eventually get round to offering a solution. Customer service team are rude and the engineers make promises that unfortunately are untrue. Avoid! Such a shame.
