This is not a short review so first off AVOID ERNEST JONES AT ALL COSTS! I purchased a Vera Wang Engagement ring from Ernest Jones in June 2018. The ring was originally a solitaire comprising of a 0.30kt diamond. However I wished for a larger diamond and arranged for the ring to be custom made with a 0.5kt diamond through Ernest Jones with a significant increase in price. Upon collection, the diamond did not seem much larger than I remembered the original 0.30kt being and I queried this with the Sales Assistant. I was assured at the time that it was definitely the 0.50kt custom ring I had ordered. During lockdown the Rhodium Plating at the bottom of the ring began to wear and it was when inspecting this, that I noticed the engraving inside the band had been marked at 0.30kt. I contacted Ernest Jones online and was told that the ring I had been sold was 0.5kt and that I should take it into store to be measured. I called the Carlisle store (closest store open through lockdown) and spoke to the manager where I was told that they could not measure the diamond in store and she would speak to head office. The initial response was that the ring would need to be sent to Birmingham for the diamond to be removed and weighed. They confirmed that if it was indeed the wrong size, the correct weighing diamond would be set in the original tarnished ring. We responded to say that this was not acceptable and we would expect, as a minimum, a new ring as I had originally ordered. They eventually agreed that if the diamond was wrong, they would exchange the ring and provide a brand new custom made ring and that this would take 8-12 weeks due to reduced capacity during Covid. A few weeks later it was confirmed that we had been sold the wrong size of diamond and that a new ring would be made up. We were then contacted to say that they could no longer give us any time-frame for the new ring to be made but they would keep us informed. Cut to a few weeks after this and we were informed that a new ring might now not even be a possibility. After months of trying to resolve this with Ernest Jones the solution offered was that we could keep our original incorrect tarnished ring but at a price £301 above the retail price in store for a brand new one. We naturally refused and decided to return the ring for a full refund with zero compensation being offered. After returning the ring to the Silverburn store, the Manager said she would hope to see us again soon without even having the decency to apologise for the disgusting service we have received throughout. Having now purchased an engagement ring through another jewellers we would highly recommend going elsewhere if you ever consider buying from Ernest Jones.

I booked this product and was delivered before estimated time is appreciated. But the quality of the product dnt match the money I paid for it on top i didnt get any formal intl warranty card which Rado provides for their customer. When I had a chat with Ernest Jones cust rep he said that the receipt is only the warranty. Rado is such a big brand that they cant even provide a formal intl warranty card with their most expensive watches. The watch i received was not well packed and even there was no plastic cover. I am not sure the product was new or old as when I checked in Rado website this product didn't popup. I was really disappointed and sad as this watch i bought was from my Bonus.

I have a busy restaurant and was always recommend you guys but never again, I have bought a Hugo Boss watch for £350 and paying for insurance "accidental damage covered" , last week I was swimming wearing my handwatch, surprised to see a water inside it. Visited there store in bradford trinity told that this is my mistake I had to press a button before going into water. Witch was always pushed on. So the insurance refused to cover me. Very disappointed

I wish I could give zero stars. Bought 2 rings, received them scratched and dull looking. Emailed them n got a response to take them to any store. I did take them to Stockport store where the rudest staff members ever were not of any help, the two most ill-mannered ladies I would say I met there.... both were whispering among eachother about me in front of me which is absolutely not professional and humiliating. Both were adamant that rings are scratched so cant be taken back! I showed my email conversation to them that it’s exactly the reason I want to return the item but still they were not happy to do that. Wasted my money already plus my time too going to them. Ernest Jones need to teach their staff some lessons on giving respect to customers and behaving with good manners. When tried to leave a review about both the products, received email that my review doesn’t meet the criteria Hehehehehehe!! Definitely they not gonna post my bad comments about their product and customer service.

I had a relatively small amount of money with them. They sold so much that at tax time financiakl gains amount wasalmost 1/3 of my whole account. My tax cost was in the thousands, first time ever and evennow after I finsihed with them I find I not only lost my ability to get a tax rebate because of what they did but my income is so low and fixed went to state for help with prescriptions and they told me no when they saw the finnancial gains which they added to my income, initially almost half of the allowed amount and when they added the "gains" from jones it was over the allowed amount by almost 40 thousand dollars. I feel they essentially stole from me. they knew I was not in a position to tolerate the shenanigans they did with my money My opinion is they are a terrible firm and dont do what they promised which was to be a good steward for my money

I bought a very expensive ring from Ernest Jones and the warranty didn’t expired yet, the ring has 26 diamonds and my girlfriend lost one stone 💎, i went back to see if they can help le but they said i have to pay 300£.... very expensive products but very poor quality ☹️👎👎👎👎

Having spent about £6-7k with Ernest Jones over the last 10 years I am now never buying anything from there again. My wife’s engagement ring that is a £3k ring has snapped after 8 years and they are not interested even though we have not damaged it. It is obviously poor quality even though it is 1ct diamond and 18ct white gold. They are refusing to repair the ring even if we pay for a repair because they said it will just break again!! Several emails from Ernest Jones customer services and they are not interested. Instead they quoted the sale of goods act to say that after 6 yrs they have no obligation to do anything. I now have a ring which they are refusing to repair so it is now scrap and it is very sentimental to us both. I will not recommend these to anyone

Couple of weeks ago the centre stone of my engagement ring fell out. This of course was very upsetting and after further inspection the stone was also discoloured at the bottom directly where it rests on the setting. This can’t be seen with the stone intact. The clasps also gave away that the ring way have been faulty from the get go as one of them is very different to the other three. The ring isn’t even a year old. Naturally I wanted this replaced with a new one as fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue. I went to the Bristol store in Cabot circus in hopes that this could be done. The lady at the store was patronising and very unhelpful. She explained that the ring will be sent off which takes about six weeks and we won’t know if we have to pay until later despite the warranty very much being intact. She told me they won’t do anything about the discoloured parts as it all depends on how the stones are made ( not relevant ) and that there was nothing that could be done about that. Unfortunately I do not know her name. I left the store with my ring as I did not want to send it anywhere and I was in no way assured of anything. My mother in law suggested trying a different store after a few emails suggested the assistants at the store would be able to help us. I was very nervous and anxious about doing so because of the response I received in the other shop. We went to the mall at cribs causeway and were greeted by Heather. She looked at the ring carefully and I started trying to explain how I felt fixing it wouldn’t solve the issue, she just looked at me and said “ oh no, we will give you a new ring” she didn’t even question me. She looked at our email exchanges and ordered me a new ring to replace my old old there and then. She even ordered me a smaller size as the original lo longer fit as well. She was honestly just so nice and helpful and she made my whole day by assuring me that I would have my ring again soon. I would give the company and the lady at Bristol a solid 0 for having treated a customer in such a way. Heather alone here deserves the five star rating because had it not been for her, I would have never stepped a foot into that store again.

Every one at the earnest Jones store In Manchester Trafford centre have been great wen to the store a fe times on my own they explained all the cuts of diamond and all the little differences with the light shining and found the perfect ring do my partner and she loves it can’t thank the staff enough I will be coming back definitely

Bought a pair of earrings at the Bromley store and the post bent when I put them on at home. Staff at the store not interested and service department deemed them not faulty. Still waiting for a reply from customer services. It’s almost two weeks now. Very disappointed.

Thank you to Sam and Laura Stockport Maryam arndale Manchester fabulous customer service no pressure my ring ord in diff gold arrived early so pleased also great staff in Bolton and trafford centre also to Clair the district manager for her help that is why I keep coming back what a great pleasure to shop in your stores your staff are a credit to you thank you

My boyfriend and I went to the Trafford centre store yesterday to ask about a broken link on a watch.. the blonde older lady who greeted us was incredibly rude and unhelpful when she was asked for any advice, abruptly saying “well why hasn’t the watch been sent off?” Before knowing it has only very recently been damaged... With my boyfriend having had the watch purchased from the store as a gift (for a large sum of money) it has most definitely put both of us off returning to the store for anything in future as we have previously had a similar rude encounter with the manager after getting the same watch serviced!! Thankfully he received very helpful advice from Goldsmiths 😊

Shopped in Argyle Arcade shop was busy and short staffed but still received excellent customer service from KAREN she couldn't do enough to help would definitely recommend having a look at the jewellery sale made a couple of purchases and very happy with them

I could tell you a big story but will sum it up. purchased 2 tag watches online. Both arrived scratched one on side about 3mm long and the other on side and underneath. 1 took 6 weeks to sort The other intended for my sons 21st Birthday took 6 months to sort. Including being sent to Tag on 3 occasions. Poor customer service and no rush to fix. Purchased another from someone else who has 5 star reviews on here and arrived perfect. Check reviews before buying. I emailed Ernest Jones customer service twice for comments before leaving a review and guess what. NO REPLY I can verify both purchases if required.

Great experience in the Birmingham bullring store. Young guy, think he was a supervisor, couldn’t do enough for us, had great product knowledge and was very helpful.

Ordered a very expensive watch. Delivered very quick. Tried to get watch fitted in my local Ernest Jones shop. But they could not do it. Had to travel 40 ,files to a shop that could fit watch, not impressed.
