oVERALL PRETTY GOOD. there was one section where it mentioned carrying spare sparkplugs and other parts with you. little odd, Maybe if traversing the sahara desert would be good advice.

I liked how you could quickly read and go through slides. I did not like some of the content, for example the part about how defensive drivers should not always obey right of way rules. Maybe this is good advice but the wording was rubbish. I have also never seen another course suggest you can easily inspect your own wheel bearings, its just not that easy to do and there was no further explanation.

Hello Paul, Thank you very much for your review and feedback! Please note that those examples you provided are parts of a certain context. Let's take the right of way for example. In the section this is mentioned, it is phrased in a way such as "to avoid accidents, even if you have the right of way, it's best to cease it in the favor of the person who doesn't have the right of way", or something of sorts. So the advice here is not to disregard the right of way rules but to rather think that sometimes, other people can make mistakes and it's easier to avoid them, as a defensive driver than to always be "right".

Hello Edward, We are running into some technical issues with the certificate generation and the graphic elements are causing some problems with the format. This issue should be fixed this weekend and if you don't mind, my suggestion is to redownload the certificate again on Monday morning.

The course was in-depth but a bit dense. It would be better if the spoken voice was a real person, not computer generated.

Hello Ron, I have opened your certificates and all of them have the course name mentioned. Which one are you facing issues with so I can resend it to you?

Short, concise course covering the basics of the subject. However..... 1. The computerised voice does not promote alertness & concentration, and 2. There are quite a few spelling mistakes in the text. For instance, the word "poses" is spelt "posses" and the computerised voice pronounces it as such.

Great course . It has all the pertinent information in a very well laid out presentation . I just wish it was valid for 3 years instead of 1 .

Hello Brian, Thank you very much for your review! Please note that the "Next Recommended Training Date" mentioned on the card is not the expiration date. You will have to abide by your provincial legislation so if in your province, the expiration date is 3 years, then that's when you will have to renew, and not on the recommended date.

Had course multiple times while working for telus even had retrieval. Not sure where to check as my current employer tells me this course does not make me compliant for entry in alberta . Course itself was very good

Hello Gerry, Depending on the province, worker compensation boards might require workplace-specific hands-on practice and evaluation, on top of the theoretical training and evaluation provided by the course. It doesn't mean that the course is not compliant, it simply means your employer has the duty to provide you with that part of the training to complete both requirements: hands-on and theoretical training with their respective evaluation. This is a process that usually doesn't take longer than an hour but some of them might simply prefer the offline training which can include the hands-on practice and evaluation as well; however, that type of training is also not meeting the CSA standards as they are not workplace specific (for example: you might receive PPE training on a different type of equipment than the ones you use in your workplace).
