“I’m afraid that I have been disappointed in the results of the work done by Everpresent. One of the four disks I received has someone else’s music on it, and I am missing the last several movements of a major work on my disks.
The recording quality makes me think that the copies were made without listening to what was on them. Admittedly, these are some older recordings, but I, an amateur in the recording field, have made infinitely more acceptable copies of these tapes. I have the feeling that either the technicians were unaware of the fact that this work was recorded on a 1/2 track Stereo, rather than 1/4 track, and so much of the fidelity is lost, causing distortions of balance and clarity. I made a point to inform those to whom I entrusted the tapes that some were recorded in 1/2 track, but it seems that was ignored.
Lastly, I had a copy of the work transferred to a thumb drive, but have been unable to play anything from it since it appears that the jack has been twisted and therefore it is unreadable.”
Hello Stephan, Thanks for reaching out and informing us of this issue. I assure that the contents of your tape are an exact copy of the original audio recording! There is nothing that we do in our process that would ever effect the integrity of original client materials. A member of support team will be reaching out today to further assist you. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Best, EverPresent
“Well the project started midway through Covid it was something that was going to be for my mom‘s gift and the project took months and months to get done then when it was completed it was only half done because they only recorded a portion of the tape when were specific instructions that there was a blank pushing in the middle anyway after receiving it and numerous phone calls and explaining and re-explaining we brought the tape back in and they somewhat repaired it and gave me an updated version of it but it was a fairly expensive and time involved to get it done was over what was expected for such an easy simple project my experience overall was negative responses from individuals was wasn’t too good although they tried hard and it seems like every time I had to re-explain it to someone else in a different department”
“Not a great experience, wasn’t too concerned about the conversion of the 2 movies to a flash drive, 1 didn’t work due to it being in bad condition and the other didn’t seem to have sound once done although it did before hand. It took about 6 months and I’m guessing that was due to Covid, when I went to pick up the finished flash drive and film they couldn’t quite find it so that took a little bit of time to locate, then a few weeks later I got a phone call to say the other one was done, I drove 30 miles to go pick it up but then got sent to another store 30 miles in the opposite direction only to find they had no idea what I was talking about, they then called the first store and they said oops it must be in someone’s van somewhere that they would call me when it was located, they never called and I’ve no idea if there even was another flash drive or movie ! Not a place that fills me with confidence! Still waiting to hear back from them months later !!!”

“Terrible experience...misleading information...NOT knowledgeable AT ALL...attempts to work with Eric was a waste of time....promises made were NOT kept...A waste of money and have advised friends and family to take their business elsewhere”
“I would never recommend this service. After one of my 8mm films were lost the tech told me I had submitted an empty reel those of us who have lost family understand what care we take of these memories. He then refused to help transferred me to another employee. Again I’m told the reel was empty. What was to be an emotional Christmas gift is just a deep sadness for the family.
The missing movie contain only two still living relatives.
I should not have been so easily dismissed. I have not received a call back in months.

Hi Maria, please know we take customer service very seriously and your experience is not representative of the service we strive to deliver to our clients each and every day. We are looking into your account now and will follow up with you directly.
“I found the service to be overpriced and the associate assigned to my order to be consistently condescending. The order was returned to me incomplete and when I called to voice my concern all my calls went unreturned. I will never suggest that anyone use this company and would suggest that customers search elsewhere if they value their project and their money.”
Hi Michael, We are sorry to hear about your recent experience, we have reached out to you privately to talk about your order details. All orders with EverPresent do come with a Quality Letter that explains any quality or issues we may encounter during our transfer process. We do hope to hear from you to offer some clarity regarding your letter. Thank you, EverPresent
“I would love to give a better review… However, this is based strictly on the amount of time it took to get my project. My finished DVD sat at a USPS facility near ever present from December 13 through December 20. It was supposed to be priority shipping and I was charged as such. Therefore, I did not get my project in time to give to my daughter for Christmas. The DVD itself is great, but the shipping definitely left something to be desired.”
Thanks for your note Donna, we are sorry that you experienced some quality issues with your audio reels. We did include a Quality Letter that mentions low recording quality and tape deterioration that were factors in your transfer. We are unable to fix those conditions as they were present in the original media.
Please reach out to us directly if you have other tapes that may be in better condition and can achieve better results!
Thank you.

“Going into the process I knew that 70 year old 16mm film may have clarity issues. Yet I was surprised how poor the original films actually were.
Going into the process the representative didn’t indicate it was a high risk procedure.
Out of three reels only one was salvageable, and that was only about 5 minutes in length. Thus I am extremely disappointed at the results. I have other films but it’s hardly worth submitting them for processing.”
Hello Joseph,
Thanks for your feedback. Old film reels are very fragile & brittle and they are handled with very delicate care while in our care. We will reach out to you directly to see if can help with the other film reels by doing an assessment at our lab.
Best
