“Please check Better Business Bureau before you entrust your personal and precious memories or important things to this company I had use Ever present to turn cassette into DVD they sent me wrong cassette back and DVD they couldn't find my original cassette sent them previous memories of my mommy that passed are gone! They accused me of tapping over tape and kept insisting it was my tape! Do not trust them with your precious memories!”
“After sending my film to this company,I was quoted $400 for my job. I approved and a few days later they called saying they had made a mistake and it was now $4000. Enough said.”
Hi Terry,
Thank you for submitting your feedback. We take concerns like these very seriously, and to that end, we have explored the details of your project to see how we could have served you better. While investigating, we noticed the following:
1. Your project was indeed misestimated. Thankfully, we have a process wherein if such an error is discovered, we halt production, and contact you, the client, for re-evaluation and approval before going any further.
2. At your instruction, we proceeded with the entire project, and provided additional image enhancement at no additional cost, as a courtesy.
3. Our records indicate that your project total amounted to just under $2,000.
While it is clear that an error was made in the initial estimation of your project, we took the appropriate measures to ensure that you were as informed and as in control as possible. I'm sorry you felt that this was still a negative experience. It's always our hope that the preservation of memories is a happy occasion, and we would of course appreciate the opportunity to assist you again.
Many thanks,
The EverPresent Team
“My Super8 films were never cleaned before they were digitized. The amount of dust is staggering. I would have cleaned them myself before submitting but I don’t even have rewind tools anymore.”
Dear Jonathan,
Thank you very much for submitting your feedback on your project. I see also that you reached back out to our company, and I apologize that you did not receive an appropriately prompt response. Rest assured, we are thoroughly looking into the details of your project, and a consultant will be in touch as soon as possible to see how we can improve your experience.
Thank you again for the opportunity to serve you better.
Best regards,
EverPresent
Dear Charles,
Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with your valuable feedback about your experience with EVERPRESENT. We truly appreciate customers like you who take a moment to share their thoughts and help us improve our services.
We apologize for the inconvenience you faced regarding the formatting for specific T.V.'s. While it's true that smart TV's and USB drives are not universally compatible, it's clear we should have given you a better sense of your options so that you could enjoy your digitized videos more fully. To that end, we will be reaching out to see if we can improve your experience. Thank you again for helping us to serve you better.
Best regards,
EverPresent
“I would not recommend this company.
I have to say that I am disappointed in the quality of the finished product. I was promised that the upgrade would significantly improve the final digital images. It seems worse than the 8mm and CD of the original film. The cost was more than I wanted, but the salesperson said I would love the final product. They missed the mark!”
“I've already expressed my discontent with your company twice. I went to Northboro to pick up my package & only my VCR tapes were in the box. I was sent an email during the week to pick up my USB stick. Went back to Northboro the following weekend, nothing there. I called your company & was told that you never sent an email to me & that you'd mail my USB plug to me before Thanksgiving so I could have it for my family. Well THAT didn't happen either! I received it the day AFTER Thanksgiving which didn't allow me to show it to family. I'm incredibly disappointed with your company, and the fact that I never received any apology or compensation for this totally botched delivery. Would NOT recommend your company to anyone. In fact, another relative passed away & I told the family to NOT use you and explained the reason.

“Overall, I am extremely dissatisfied with Everpresent.
I asked for a 1:1 transfer of VHS tapes to DVDs. For VHS tapes I received the single tape split up across several DVDs, rather than 1 DVD which is what I was expecting (a 1:1 ratio like I had asked for). I wish I had known that beforehand. And for any content of VHS tapes that has to be split across DVDs, it would be nice if there was an option for a Menu to be added to the DVD to select where to navigate to on the DVD rather than having to fast forward through content.
The price I was charged at the completion of the project was 57% higher than the proposal I received. If there is no transparency in the what the final, actual price will realistically be, why bother providing an estimate?
In the first phone call (Nov 2023), I was told that if I had less than about 20 tapes then they could be delivered prior to Christmas. I sent 16 tapes from my collection. The customer service rep had incorrectly captured my email address during the first phone call (which I didn't know at the time). Only after 2 subsequent calls initiated by me was this error discovered. Subsequently my order was waitlisted and not delivered until after Christmas.
Needless to say, I have been extremely disappointed with Everpresent and your customer service throughout the entire process.”

“Beware of being overcharged!! Sent Everpresent 488 feet of film total on 4, 3" reels (full), 2, 5" reels (not full) and 1, 7" reel (not full). Estimate was for 1000 feet. Put deposit down, said they'd adjust the price once it was processed in full and they can measure how many feet was processed. Never got a final bill, only an additional charge on my CC. Emailed multiple times and get back some boiler plate answer. Will never be using this company again.”
“I have mentioned several times that I am not in the US and not able to take delivery of physical product so I have not yet seen the work you did for me. On previous assignments you sent a link from which I could download jpegs but I don't believe I received such a link for this assignment. I would appreciate an update on delivery, thanks.”
“I'm not happy with the final price. Quoted estimate was $180, final was 50% higher close to $270. And the film was only 4 minutes long. That is over the top expensive and I don't see how non-profits or any family can afford that.”
“The conversion of my tapes to digital was ok but the fact that I was charged more than agreed upon is illegal and certainly unprofessional. I discussed this matter with someone at Everpresent and they offered no solution. I was told that I agreed to the amount I was charged but when I asked for ANY evidence of this I was provided none. I never agreed to it and in my view this is fraud. I reported this to my bank since it was a credit card charge and if that investigation is not successful I will pursue further. I do not think it is good practice to have this predatory behavior toward your clients. This was my first time using your services. You can bet I am never coming back. And I am advising everyone I know to stay away from you guys.”
“While the end result of the project presented nicely, the following overshadowed the final presentation: policy of keeping customers in the dark as to the estimated completion date of the project, the unreasonable length of time to complete the project (one year), astronomical cost inconsistent with the level of supposedly ‘A-list’ services provided (18 hours, at $95/hr, rapidly escalated into a jaw-dropping 62 hours, at $95/hr; charging the customer for time to correct Ever Present's errors, charging for services not rendered (no proofing done; and only partial optimization completed). I would be hard pressed to recommend the services of Ever Present. It behooves the company to re-evaluate their policies and processes to avoid these pitfalls.”
“The two 16mm films I submitted came back as very disappointing files. The color had shifted on both, and no one in your quality control department even mentioned it. I would not have expected you to make corrections, but someone should have prepared me for the need. Worse yet was the audio, which had an annoying flutter sound throughout, obscuring dialogue and music. How could you not have heard that? The original optical tracks were clear of any such annoyances.”
“This company is a disgrace. They gave me misinformation about pricing. They failed to respond to my requests and messages. They deal with local merchants whose hours are by appointment only. They have so many employees that you cannot establish a relationship with anyone. The whole outfit is robot, unfeeling, and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone.”
“This is my second project with Everpresent. My first experience was very good, especially with communication. However, my second project did not go that well. If it would have been my first experience I would not have used Everpresent again. The rep assigned to project #2 failed, she lacked communication skills and was just not interested. I sent emails, phone calls but never followed up, most likely she is no longer working at the company.”
