“I really liked the ease of dropping off/picking up my stuff at a local retailer. I also really liked the detailed emails I received about the progress of my project. What I did NOT really like was a solicitation for a tip for the customer service rep who was in charge of. my project. I was given a cost for my project, which I assumed included the salary/hourly wage of Everpresent's employees. If you think your employees deserve more $$, pay them more & have your pricing reflect that. I felt the request was a scam to get me to pay more for your service than I contracted for. If not for that I would have given Everpresent 5 stars.”

“Pros: - Quick processing of our order, which was appreciated! - Lots of email communication in terms of what stages our order was at in the process. Cons: - I sent in 3 VERY old boxes of film to be processed, and little stickers were applied to each box by EverPresent, I assume for identification purposes. When removing your stickers after I received the order back, the paint from the box peeled off with the stickers. - While you were waiting for me to contact you to pay our deposit, I received an annoying amount of emails AND phone calls, continually asking for the deposit. At first I explained that I had to wait on my business office to make the deposit, but eventually I just ignored your calls and emails because it was too much.”

“I chose Everpresent for my project because of all the great reviews and because of the detailed information about their process on the website. I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work. I am ultimately very glad I chose them to digitize my treasured family videos and reels. The only complaint I have is with the pricing. I was given a quote via consult and signed off on the agreement. Later, after I submitted my materials, I was contacted to notify me about extra charges. They admitted they made a mistake when making the original quote, which I understand happens and said ok. Later when I looked at the final invoice it was about double what I was originally expecting from the initial consult. I am very lucky to not have issues paying the amount charged, but it was a bit of a shock. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with how they cared for my original tapes, updated me on every step of the process and gave me different options for the end product. Being able to see images from the time I was born for the first time was worth any cost to me.”

“Sent away five tapes to be transferred to digital but only 4 worked while the last one was in fast forward mode with no sound. Very difficult to find customer service as I left numerous messages and e-mails before reaching a live person. They said tape was corrupted and that was the best they could do. Why copy a corrupted tape with no sound and in fast forward mode and charge the client? Thought about asking for a refund but am so tired of their lack of responsiveness.”

“My experience was not that great to be honest. We had a big order (over 40 tapes) which translates to a lot of money. I felt like Everpresent didn’t care that we were investing in this for our family. We were not offered any discounts or anything like other companies do. I wanted to support a local Massachusetts company as that’s where I grew up, but I am disappointed in my experience. There were so many extra fees for titling of files and DVD’s. We opted not to add these on. I have been going through and manually changing the names of the files. It’s a little ridiculous that it isn’t included to be honest. They have to title the files anyways with “Video Memories XX”. Other companies include titling in all orders. Additionally, communication was not good. They claim to have a representative for you, but every time I called or had to do something...it was a different person on the phone. We found 40 more tapes after our initial order and chose to go with a national company instead. They were priced much better and we were able to add on a DVD to that order for only $80. Whereas, Everpresent was asking for hundreds of more dollars for a DVD Set (for an order of our size...over $300). That is part of the reason we didn’t return. Yes, I still would like DVDs of those digital files from my Everpresent order, but it’s crazy to ask for hundreds of dollars when your competitor is only asking for $80 regardless of how many tapes are being transferred. You might be competitively priced for a small order, but not for an order of 40 tapes. I regret placing the order with Everpresent and wish I would have gone with the other company initially.”

It seems that there must have been a different package that we could have suggested given your extra copy requirements. It sounds like we could have done a better job helping you choose the best fit for you. “My experience with Everpresent was excellent! I found Everpresent searching online for a service that could reliably convert my old film reels — some of them over 70 years old! I had some concerns about sending them in, worried that they might get lost or damaged, or the quality of the reproduction would be poor. I took the plunge, (after being assured by the customer service rep) and it all worked out well! I worked with a customer service rep named Caris who did an excellent job informing me upfront and keeping me posted on the progress of my order. Bottom line is that Everpresent delivered ahead of schedule and the quality of the digitized movies was outstanding. My reels were promptly returned in the same condition and the price was fair and as expected. I will definitely use Everpresent again. My only issue with the service was that it was not easy to reconnect with your service rep directly by phone as you need to call into a central switchboard and be transferred. This takes time and can be a little frustrating as she was frequently on another line. I ultimately found that the most effective way to communicate was via email and this ended up being fine and efficient once I made up my mind to proceed with the project.”

“I am so happy I found EVERPRESENT when I decided to have videos I have had for over 20 years on VHS tapes converted to DVD and digital! The care and precision EVERPRESENT takes in the conversion is truly amazing and even heartwarming. They keep me informed through every step of the process. The final result is so perfect! It is like I am seeing it in the original - even better!! And the cost is very low. And so convenient. I highly recommend EVERPRESENT!”

“I asked EverPresent to scan several 4x5 black and white negatives taken by by recently deceased daughter. I asked for high resolution which I didn’t really need to make prints but the extra cost was negligible so I decided it was worth it. Turnaround time was quick and the download process was easy. EverPresent provided finished files (not negatives) which made spotting and scratch removal easy.”

“Very disappointed in the lack of communication. I have reached out by telephone and by email multiple times and never get a response back. I am trying to find out how to access my files from your website. I have already paid for this service but have never received instructions on how to access it. I hope this message gets forwarded to your CEO. I would think he/she would be exceedingly disappointed.”

“The process went very well. Very nice person at the drop off site reassured me that EVERPRESENT is a reputable company that does quality work. The final transfers from VHS and 8mm film to USB came out very well considering the age of both items. My family and I are very happy to have the memories preserved.”

“Beware of being overcharged!! Sent Everpresent 488 feet of film total on 4, 3" reels (full), 2, 5" reels (not full) and 1, 7" reel (not full). Estimate was for 1000 feet. Put deposit down, said they'd adjust the price once it was processed in full and they can measure how many feet was processed. Never got a final bill, only an additional charge on my CC. Emailed multiple times and get back some boiler plate answer. Will never be using this company again.”
