“I needed a high res scan of two old pictures (about 20 by 26) on parchment so that I could make reproductions. I also needed scans to be done on a flat bed scanner because of age and material of the originals. I got scans on a Zip drive and the reproductions look amazing.

Caution: garbage in garbage out: you need to give really clear instructions on the file structure you want and you need labels on/with documents & photos. Otherwise, your great-great-grandchildren can't appreciate what you hoped to say. Add notes, stories, etc that personalize the mystery characters in their odd dress and frozen smiles. Not all pictures of the Grand Canyon are worth preserving.”
