“Exoticca were extremely helpful when we had to re-arrange our trip because of problems at work, allowing us to re-book for a week later at no extra cost. Everything on the trip went extremely smoothly, including the flights out to Egypt, which we were not expecting, given that the great Orange Man had decide to start World War III in the Middle East just 2 days before our departure. In terms of organisation of the trip you wouldn't have known it was happening. Everything about the holiday was perfect and all went according to plan.”

Very helpful agent when organising the trip.
We got to see everything we wanted to see. The guides were excellent and the meet and greet at airports was excellent- communication well in advance and always on time. We never had to wait. They always helped with bags.
The packing list was very helpful and the information in the app was useful.
Not so good - everything being in an app, email would be helpful as well as the app did not always work.
No response to our in app queries about baggage.
For some reason baggage was not included in our flight home even though BA offer a 23kg case for free on long haul flights. Fortunately the gate agent didn't charge us 290 dollars after we explained that a tour agency had booked the trip.
Do not use JetSmart - we (and several other travellers) could not book seats on the flight no matter what we did - different cards, different devices, help from hotel reception. They then didn't let us board because payment was pending for the seats. We had to pay £500 for an alternative flight back to Santiago or lose a whole day of our 10 day holiday waiting in Calama airport from 6am to 9pm. JetSmart only offered gift cards as recompense.
The Exoticca agent we contacted for help chose to use very unhelpful language and said it was a personal problem when we asked for help in phoning a Chilean number as our eSim was not working and our UK phones could not get through. JetSmart had told us we had to call to say we were not taking the 9pm flight they had offered.
The esim recommended did not work or provide the advertised discount.”

“I booked a trip on-line and selected the payment option of a 60% deposit taken immediately and the balance to be paid 60 days before departure. That date is still several weeks away but I have now received three emails saying the balance was due on 11th March, with no explanation for this date, and penalties or cancellation being threatened if I do not pay immediately. I have tried their Chat function but it could not answer my query and directed me to contact an agent. However I could find no way of doing this other than by completing an on line form which does not offer a quick response. This is a very poor start to my experience of booking with Exoticca, which is already holding a significant amount of my money, and so far I am regretting my decision to try this company”

“Our first Exoticca holiday to China exceeded all our expectations. China is absolutely amazing, the people are so welcoming and friendly, the cities are vibrant, colourful and full of life, the food is superb, the culture and history is rich and the sites and scenery are stunning.
Everything for our trip was very well organised and our hotels were excellent. Our guides Bryan, Kenny, Kevin and Louis were very knowledgeable and helpful. Kevin in particular was a character and cheerfully kept us entertained (top marks). These guides were essential for getting us all in and out of the sites in the most expediate way, even at the airports.
Take heed though, because this holiday included some very early starts and long days. Get to know your itinerary in advance and be prepared! Being a tourist can be hard work!
Think of it as being akin to a school trip but for adults.

Really well organised and our guide Waghi was amazing and exceeded my expectations.
So knowledgeable about everything. We never usually book an organised trip, but doing something like this tour sewing the pyramids and monuments, you actually need a guide as you would miss so much !!.
Also combining a Nile trip allowed some downtime just to sit on a boat and watch everyday life pass you by whilst cruising, it was an unexpected pleasure.
