What is up with the people that answers the calls at Expedia?? Expedia used to be good and now they have weird and awkward reps that answer the calls. Booked an all inclusive package and needed more information about my booking and I get connected to the all inclusive vacation line, and this man basically turned every inquiry that I made into what shouldn't have been so complicated. How many different ways do I need to word: how many beds are included in the hotel room I booked? He seemed appalled and shocked and confused by this question. His attitude made it seem like it was a burden to answer any of my questions and almost as if he was doing ME a favor by answering. WELL MY APOLOGIES EXPEDIA! Sorry to hassle you by giving you money to use your service. I am now considering cancelling this package as I am utterly disgusted by how Expedia treats their customers. WOULD NEVER BOOK AGAIN AND DEFINITELY SPREADING THE WORD SO THAT NOBODY BOOKS WITH THIS AWFUL COMPANY AGAIN!

After nearly a 4 hour drive my husband, son and son in-law arrived at their self catering accommodation to relax before going to a gig at the local stadium to find the owner had no reference of their booking and someone else was in it. After I sat on the phone for almost 1.45 in total the boys had no choice but to go and find somewhere to eat so they could get to the gig on time. They then had to drive home after arriving home at 3pm in the morning...thankfully safe!!!! All the food brought for their dinner and breakfast had to be binned after being in the car all afternoon and evening in the heat of the day. Their customer service is diabolical and offered me £25 credit for my next trip...l highlighted that after this experience we would not be using or recommending them. I asked for their head office number so I could make a formal complaint and surprise surprise I have just called the number given to find out it’s a false number.....thanks for nothing Expedia. Lisa

Should have purchased my tickets directly from airline(s) instead of buying through Expedia. I am frustrated and have been unable to contact Expedia, be it thru their robot chat, or landline number. When you buy tickets from Expedia, you can still get screwed when they claim that they do not have your email/booking/reference/card details. That happened to me, and it gets into an endless loop of feeding them with your above details. There simply isn't a way to tell them that they effed up. THEIR BOT SIMPLY WOULD NOT ALLOW YOU TO REACH OUT TO THEM.

I will NEVER book anything through Expedia again. It’s a complete hassle to change any reservation. Then they want to charge you more even though you have ‘no change/cancellation fee’. The absolute worst experience I’ve had making flight and rental car reservations. Plus they play this game of putting you on hold off and on 10-20 mins at a time, come back on and again put you on hold. My fourth call to Expedia today. One call was 2 hours. I finally just cancelled my flight and rental car. If you don’t address every individual charge they will not cancel it, e.g., rental car, collision ins, change of flight times charge. Even if you pay a little more, go through airlines. If you book through Expedia, you can’t get any help from the airlines. It has been a complete nightmare!

Shocking bad experience. Their customer service is completely useless. Make 2 mistakes, first with flight destination which I have to pay £150 to have it amended. Then follow with not selected luggage for my amended booking. I have to pay again before they will compensate me. Each time I have spent an hour on the phone to explain the problem.

Expedia Disaster: No Booking, No Help, No Apology! Very disappointed with Expedia. I received a confirmation for my hotel booking, but it turned out there was no reservation made. The hotel was fully booked and I was left without a room. Expedia support was unhelpful and claimed it was my fault for not filling out a form I was never told about. I had to find a last-minute (and expensive) alternative. Never again!!!!

WARNING: BEWARE OF THESE PRACTICES We booked a 24-day stay over Christmas and New Year through Expedia, opting to pay upon arrival. In preparation, we purchased flights, reserved airport parking, arranged taxis in Egypt, and secured Egyptian visas. We were eagerly anticipating our holiday. However, just one week later, we received a message from Expedia stating that the hotel had canceled our booking due to "issues with the credit card." This excuse is completely unfounded—our credit card is valid and was successfully pre-authorized by Expedia at the time of booking. Despite numerous attempts to contact both Expedia and the hotel, we received no response from either. This left us scrambling to find a new hotel at the last minute, or risk losing our non-refundable flight and other bookings. This experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. We will never book through Expedia again and strongly urge others to think twice before trusting them with your travel plans. Don't let them ruin your holiday as they did ours!

Appalling company willing to use scam tactics. Please see the thousands of bad reviews on Trust Pilot Expedia advertised a flight price of £690 on Skyscanner - maintaining this price throughout the booking process right until payment. On this basis we booked accommodation - thinking we needed to finalise these dates before paying for the flight. Moments later when we came to pay for the flight Expedia increased the price by £200. The original price of £690 was still being advertised on Skyscanner (and was several hours later). I actually chose to pay more with another operator to buy the flight and will never use Expedia again. I'll also be sure to tell as many friends and work colleagues as possible.

I purchased a vacation package along with travel insurance, just in case my trip got canceled. So when my trip di actually get canceled, Expedia, wouldn't refund my money without a fight. Even though I purchased travel protection, they still wont do the right thing. What a bunch of scumbags!!!!

Booked 2 return tickets from Newcastle to Dublin by a gentleman called James I was conned ot of£150 called Expedia and customer service agents find it funny they con innocent people b careful ladies and gentlemen company is a scam

So we attempted to rent a car, didn’t happen. They never went through on there part and still charged us for it. On top of it when we wanted our refund, they told us they’d processed , it didn’t happen. So 20 days later and still no money back. Such bull

My flight was canceled and they charged me a $200 change fee on top of the extra charge for the flight. It’s ridiculous. I will never book using Expedia again. My flight was canceled so It doesn’t even make any sense to have to pay a change fee of $200. A supervisor was supposed to reach out to me within 24 hours and they did not reach out. I had to keep calling to try to speak to a supervisor but I was never able to. I finally just gave up and gave in. I’m so upset and disappointed. I will NEVER be using Expedia for travel again.

Don’t trust this company with its refund policy. It is extremely vague and there’s fine print that will allow you to cancel a 5$ refund policy instead of the reservation so please be careful with doing so; because obviously I’m worried about saving 5$ for the insurance rather than CANCELLING my reservation. Not only did this happen, when I called customer support and Indian decent Man whom barely spoken English writes a email to the hotel which is illiterate; and makes no sense. So obviously I am not getting my refund due to the FULL INCOMPETENCE of this corporation. Thank Expedia for taking money from me for a night I didn’t even stay. I will never recommend this site to anyone solely on customer service and hidden fine prints.

An agent at expedia gave misinformation about the process to use an airline credit towards a future flight. After this, the company was unwilling to help even though they were the ones to make the mistake. Factor in waiting multiple consecutive 8 hour holds, I will never use expedia again, and I recommend that nobody else does.

Expedia is the worst app in the world.,especially when they owe you money you have to jump thru hoops to get a refund. And for airline credits if you dont use them you loose them...they can't find my iteranry to book my next flight...i will foerver send my services to someone else..never again expedia you won't get another dime from me...and get people who speak English...

I booked a hotel with Expedia a month ago. Today I was checking it and couldn’t find it anywhere. Turns out my reservations were canceled a week ago and Expedia didn’t even send me a notice to notify me of the cancellation. Spoke to customer service a guy named Juan and he was absolutely no help whatsoever. So now here I am a week before I need the hotel looking for one because Expedia couldn’t have let me know beforehand and because Expedia apparently let’s you book hotel rooms that aren’t available in the first place. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH EXPEDIA, IT SUCKS.

Expedia is terrible to work with! Do not travel with them if you can avoid it at all costs! We had booked a flight over a year ago, and we were supposed to travel back in August of 2020. I had a medical condition come up, and I was advised by my doctor not to travel. With covid, and my doctors guidance, I requested my flight to be cancelled and refunded. When I booked this flight, I was told that it was 100% refundable. Here we are nearly a year later and Expedia won't do a single thing for us! We have had the run around and been told that we would receive a refund on several occasions, but still have not received anything. These guys are scam artists, and will find a way to take your money! Do not travel with Expedia!
