“Good at finding a teacher, beware you have to pay to get the teacher's details in order to have lessons with them. Mine was 11pounds for reference.”

“Lindsey has been giving our Son extra sessions of maths to build his confidence and help him have a better understanding of Year 4 maths across the board. Lindsey is calm, friendly and has a great approach. He is above all else VERY patient! As the weeks have gone by, he is understanding more and more where our Son needs additional help and has even thrown some hand-writing practice in as well. We are very pleased with his tutoring service…. ‘Thank You Lindsey’!”

“Vimala is very bad with children. She criticised my daughter from the first moment she started playing and she knocked her confidence in less than 20 minutes with my daughter ending up in tears. She corrected her every step of the way in a discouragibg way and asked questions about the previous tutor and why she was not taught this and that. I had informed her that my daughter was booked for an exam and that was all she cared about without checking with me if this was my priority. I would have expected her to talk me in private what was required without traumatising my child. Her attitude was unrpofessional and completely insensitive. Avoid at all costs!”

“First tutors helped me to find a viola teacher. There are not many around so pleased they could help me.”

“The site worked well in that I tracked down and hooked up with a very good double bass teacher. There were some minor It glitches though. I am unable to log in by entering my email address and password, the site tells me that my email address is not recognised, even though it uses it to send me information. Fortunately I can get into the site using a message link from one of its emails.”

“I have used First Tutors to find a maths and english tutor. I have been pleased with both tutors and it was really helpful when searching to have some details about the tutor before making a decision of who to contact. I would recommend first tutors.”

“Only one tutor in my area therefore very expensive to pay for details for just one person. Clunky messaging system. Unable to discuss a range of potential dates for lessons as numbers were redacted as system assumed they were a telephone number.”

“Unfortunately the tutor you matches me with didn’t turn up to the first lesson and has now said he’s unable to tutor my son. This could be for a variety of reasons but I’m still £25 out of pocket and have no tutor.. not great.”
