“There is a wide range of possible tutors, a fair amount of information on them and it is reassuring that there is vetting. I think it is worth the small fee.”

“After poor experiences with another site, I contacted 6 potential tutors for Leaving Cert German on First Tutors. All 6 reverted back quickly and professionally. In one case our respective needs didn't match, and that's perfectly fine; the other 5 would have been good matches and responsive. Feedback on the display on the website: there's only a limited number of tutors from your search visible. Every time I looked at a specific profile and then went back, I got back to the top of the page and had to click 'see more' repeatedly. Once you have found the right person, you need to buy the contact details from First Tutors. That's straightforward. The reminders and email notifications are very smooth and useful.”

“The tutors posts are good and have enough detail to shortlist. However the website is clunky and would be better if you could exchange links on the website so you can see what sort of resources they use etc. I think £25 is also steep to release details.”

“Very simple to use. I found a tutor on another side, but their fees were extortinate, so after a bit more searching found her on First Tutors. Made contact, exchanged a few messages then paid the £15 to get the contact details and now communicate direct. No longer use First Tutors as they are out of the loop.”

“The website is really easy to use and there is a good selection of Japanese tutors, which I haven't found on other sites. I didn't see there was a finder's fee at first, but I made contact with a tutor I liked and paid the fee so we could have a trial lesson. It went well and we will continue with the tutor, so money well spent.”
