“First Tutors was a simple and effective way of finding a suitable tutor for our needs. The pricing structure of a one off finding fee suited my needs. I was able to contact a variety of tutors easily before choosing and paying.”

“My son attended 2 lessons and he advised he found difficulties in audio system used in online class. There is no negative feedback on the contents of the class but he found hard to get the audio cleared to him. Hence, we will not continue.”

“Was looking for a piano teacher for our 5 year old daughter and there was quite a few teachers to choose from. It's a good platform to make introductions but also found the messaging system was a bit antiquated as it blocked certain keywords that may appear as giving away your address or phone number but in actual fact it was pricing information from the tutor which got censored! We managed to communicate and arrange a lesson in the end. It would also have been nice to see alternative pricing options (e.g per 45 minutes or 30 minutes) and if it specified if there were travel fees so the pricing and comparisons weren't as transparant as I initially thought it would be when comparing different tutor's fees. So when you make contact, you have to ask every detail.”

“I found the site easy to use. It would be helpful to clear about the fee that needs to be paid. I wasn't sure if the fee was for only one tutor I agreed lessons with and if it didn't work out would I have to pay another fee before contacting releasing personal data a new tutor? In short, a good site and I'm pleased with my new tutor”

“Pretty good service! Really quickly found myself a tutor for trumpet. The fee for some of the more expensive tutors were a bit steep, seeing as buying a tutor's details doesn't necessary mean that they're guaranteeing being your tutor, but I suppose nobody can guarantee that.”

“Third time using this company to find a tutor for my children’s exams. The process is very straightforward once you’ve made a selection. I think the main thing is to read about the tutors experience. The previous two tutors (GCSE eng lit and A level physics & maths) have been very good but were both trained teachers with many years experience and also had experience of marking exam papers so knew the criteria being looked for. Only one session in so far with this new tutor (GCSE science) but pleased with how the first session went and think she will do a good job. There appear to be many students listed who are doing a degree and using tutoring as additional income which may suit some people but wasn’t what I was looking for. That said, the background of the tutor is made very clear and the reviews of them also help. Just be clear about what you are looking for and what you are happy to pay for it.”
