“A great way to find a tutor, and narrow down the options, depending on your requirements. The system is great up to the point you find someone, but the next steps are unclear, as are the charges for using the system.”

“Good easy to use website. Safe. Money taken only when tutor accepts you and wants their details given. So you have a chance to discuss times days etc first via the website.”

“I paid after agreeing day and time . He then changed this after I paid £14.99 connection fee. Time didnt suit him -it didn’t suit me but I agreed to Compromise but he wasn’t very flexible re changing to original agreement Don’t book, don’t waste your time ... he took money for doing nothing on first lesson refused to discuss the “organic “ style and said there wasn’t a plan per say, he had no interest in checking out what my daughter or myself were expecting instead he told me there would be no parallel plan for Nat 5 work he would do the work he wanted to do -arrogant and dismissive . He cancelled lessons as I merely asked to be included and to consider work which would help my daughter at school currently ...I am after all paying for a service !!”

“Easy to use quick and efficient. Gives a rough locality which also helped my decision making. I am happy with the tutor but is early days, but my daughter now understands differentiation in one hour after 4 months in sixth form. Looking good.”

“First Tutors was very helpful for me in finding reliable tutors for my Leaving Cert years. It was clear and easy enough to use and navigate. I found that the communication system set up for making initial contact with the teacher slightly clunky and slow I thought that the fact that you have to pay to receive your tutors contact details was very unpleasant and surprising, seeing as the price of personal tutors is very expensive as it is. I would recommend this to anyone searching for tutors, but only if they're willing to spend a bit extra”

“The service is a middle man that to be honest I could have done on my own when a bit more time on the internet. I feel it's s bit expensive and didn't tell me the cost until I find the tutor.”
