“The worst provider I have ever dealt with. I very nearly gave up trying. It should be straightforward but I had to ask them how to make the required registration fee and the address they provided for the tutor was inadequate; I had to telephone the tutor for detailed information to get to her.”

Dear Seagain, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that your experience via our website was not satisfactory. Our system does send emails at each step and once the tutor accepts, another email is sent explaining how to release the tutor's contact details. You possibly didn't receive this email as I do see that you emailed our customer service team who responded within a few minutes. I also see that you created the request as travel arrangements to be negotiated but within the request nothing was discussed about who was going to travel so this would of course caused confusion. Clicking 'check roads' within the request does display the exact driving distance between your postcodes. “Personally, I would recommend first tutors for students searching for an efficient tutor. I wasted a lot of my time on finding a tutor who taught A level maths on other websites. I never got an absolute idea on what to do until I found first tutors. it provided me with a range of suitable tutors according to my criteria who lived near me. Therefore, if someone is searching for a tutor urgently, I completely suggest first tutors. It is a very safe website where students can view their options without trouble.”

“I think it's very good as you can choose the right tutor for your child, I choose Michael Mullin for my grandson and he was very good only had him for 1 lesson so far and my grandson was very happy with Michael an looking forward to his next lesson.”

“We were looking for a french tutor for my son who is a Leaving Cert student. Found First Tutors online and was very pleased with the service. Found a tutor and arranged a lesson a couple of days later. My son found it very useful and will be returning. The tutor was excellent... Very helpful and very professional.”

“Our son was struggling with his studies & frustratingly our son's school could not give us details of local tutors etc! So after a "Google" search, I found First Tutors and decided to give them a try. The site was easy to navigate and I very quickly found a suitable local tutor. Extremely happy with the service from both First Tutors & the tutor, and would recommend this site if you're looking for extra support.”
