“Just had my first ever guitar lesson! Ian was really warm and friendly. I straight away felt comfortable. He clearly is very knowledgeable and passionate in his work. I really liked how he broke down everything into simple memorable parts. I learnt so much in one lesson thanks to his clear and patient methods. Ian has a wonderful encouraging manner that would support anyone at any age in their learning. I can’t recommend him highly enough. I’m booked in for my next lesson and can’t wait. Excellent tutor!”

“Good choice of tutors, different ages, experience etc near me. Useful profile and good that qualifications, references etc checked. Easy to use site and swift IT/customer service support when I had a problem. Found a tutor and all going well so far. Think price is reasonable as it is a one-off not ongoing.”

“Website: Having tried a number of Tutor agencies, First was the only one which offered a clear and simple view of which subjects were on offer, where and how much. Contact: Most of the Tutors I contacted responded immediately and all answered within 2 days. The contact system is a bit clunky as First will not allow direct contact between Client and Tutor until their fee is paid, which is entirely understandable. Fees: Not immediately apparent, but you only have to pay First a small fee to then be connected with your chosen Tutor; once put in touch all dealings are then direct with the Tutor.”
