“The First Tutors site was very clear and easy to use. There were a number of tutors listed and so we narrowed down to three. Unfortunately only one out of these three responded at all. My daughter has her first session later this week. The site is very straightforward and professional, and I would recommend it to others.”

“The distance the tutor/ tutee has to travel is misleading as the true distance is only given much later on during the browsing; Distance stated by 'As the crow flies' is irrelevant because the mode of travel for all is by road.”

“Ridiculous amount of e-mails, people responding who were not appropriate for school leaving cert grinds. There is no way I would pay anyone for whom English is a second language to tutor my son in English!! I got sick of the sight of the screen. One was a second year med student who would definitely not have the time commitment to give to grinds.”

Dear Michele, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry to hear that you feel our system sent you too many emails, much depends on the amount of tutors you contact. We have tutors for all levels and subjects, in the case of tutors that are studying at University, it is quite common for them to teach A and O levels. We also have many bilingual tutors who are qualified to teach in English. I see that you went ahead with a tutor that has a Bachelor's degree in Physics and has experience in teaching younger children.
