“I wanted to arrange some tuition over the summer holidays with my tutor, and everything was going fine, but then the system cut me off because I hadn't arranged the first session, and I had to start again from scratch. It is not clear at all how and when to pay the £29 release fee, and who should request it and at what point. Now I have paid the fee, it's not clear how subsequent payments should be made. I was not happy to be cut off and lose all of our correspondence”

Dear Sara, Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you have not found our system easy to use. The email with your tutor's details in it explains you will need to pay the tutor directly for any tuition they provide. How our system works is detailed at the top of the tuition request, on the home page, under 'How to find a tutor' and our FAQ page. When you have paid the finder's fee the tuition request moves to the 'Active' tab so you can still review all details which were discussed there. “I found the site easy to use. It would be helpful to clear about the fee that needs to be paid. I wasn't sure if the fee was for only one tutor I agreed lessons with and if it didn't work out would I have to pay another fee before contacting releasing personal data a new tutor? In short, a good site and I'm pleased with my new tutor”

“Pretty good service! Really quickly found myself a tutor for trumpet. The fee for some of the more expensive tutors were a bit steep, seeing as buying a tutor's details doesn't necessary mean that they're guaranteeing being your tutor, but I suppose nobody can guarantee that.”

“Third time using this company to find a tutor for my children’s exams. The process is very straightforward once you’ve made a selection. I think the main thing is to read about the tutors experience. The previous two tutors (GCSE eng lit and A level physics & maths) have been very good but were both trained teachers with many years experience and also had experience of marking exam papers so knew the criteria being looked for. Only one session in so far with this new tutor (GCSE science) but pleased with how the first session went and think she will do a good job. There appear to be many students listed who are doing a degree and using tutoring as additional income which may suit some people but wasn’t what I was looking for. That said, the background of the tutor is made very clear and the reviews of them also help. Just be clear about what you are looking for and what you are happy to pay for it.”
