“I found it v frustrating to use the site as I was trying to ask specific questions about using Skype or Facetime in order to give the lessons. It would not allow us to communicate freely, and there was no point in paying for the contact details if they couldn’t work this way.”

“Website very easy to navigate. I was given a few local tutors to choose from and chose the one we thought would suit our needs best. She contacted me straight away once selected. There is a £25 fee for using this site but it’s a small ish price to pay for a peace of mind. The website gives reassurance that the tutors are genuine and gives a profile of each tutor so you can read about them and how they work and read reviews and references . I would recommend this site to other parents .”

“My son had his first maths session with Steph today. She was punctual, well-prepared and instantly put my son at ease. She's a lovely, friendly person who creates a warm, relaxed environment. After just one session, my son's confidence has improved. GCSE maths seems a bit less daunting now. Thanks Steph.”

“They have an incredible repository of amazing tutors, genuine reviews. I got the best Science teacher that I could think of from the comfort of the home. I chose this tutor (Smitha Menon) basis her reviews mentioned and it was so perfect. Her teaching style matched exactly in her profile, and instantly she came across as a wonderful intelligent tutor with great communication skills. All in all a wonderful experience with First Tutors”

“I found First Tutors through the recommendation of a friend who had used them for her children. I have used them four times over the last 5 years and have found 4 excellent tutors who have taught my daughter. The website is easy to use and the reviews were reliable, I can only say the tutors I picked were heavily influenced by other people's reviews and all were as good as other people had said. I would recommend them to anyone as the site gives enough information to make a decision without the pressure of contacting people directly. I feel the charge for the introduction service is reasonable, no registration charge, you just pay for the tutor contact you choose.”
