“Great site to be confident to get the right Tutor John Hill reliable , flexible and know his subjects! Tailored tutoring to suit child’s needs helping confidence n knowledge. My daughter was failing at ALevel Physics n Maths in Sept 21 had tutor Nov-May with holidays n just achieved A-Level C Physics B Maths getting 1st choice at University but actually been accepted onto Degree Apprenticeship! also. Definitely brought her back from the brink!”

“Excellent service. Clear instructions. Easy to contact chosen tutor. Care taken to keep personal info secure. Reasonable fee. Appreciated that no unsolicited calls to push services or unsolicited emails. This was an annoying factor with some other agencies! Would definitely use First Tutors again.”

“We have found a great tutor close by for our daughter through First Tutors although I do believe the connection fee should be less. Your paying a large amount per hour without the £25 before you start maybe reduce to £20”

“I have to say that I was anxious about this to begin with, as the site was unknown to me. But I am really impressed and would recommend it to anyone. It’s cleverly thought out and works well to allow you to connect with tutors quickly and easily without either of you having to swap lots of personal information. Filtering on your exact requirements is really helpful too. We’re really happy with our experience and have managed to find a lovely tutor using this website.”

“The website was very helpful and I found a really good tutor who suits my learning style. I had to pay a fee to receive the tutor's details, but I was happy to do so as I would rather find someone of a high standard to tutor me (the internet can be tricky to trust on these things)! I am happy with the process and service provided by First Tutors.”

“The process to find my son an A level Economics tutor was easy, straightforward and seamless. A broad range of matches were available, and the one we eventually settled on with a long history of teaching and trading is worth every penny. I wouldn't hesitate to use again for my younger child if needed.”

“I met with Veronica for a couple of sessions as starter lessons in 2019, which I offered to pay for but she kindly insisted were free. She was very enthusiastic and I thought I had found a good tutor to teach me and really improve my Spanish. However, after these initial two sessions, I would arrive at her house for a lesson at the given time only to find she was out. This happened twice. I phoned her at home to clarify the situation and she arranged to meet me again that day, for a lesson . When I arrived, she was out. She didn’t answer any further texts or phone calls. I would have appreciated a simple conversation that she didn’t want to teach me. I have been reluctant to leave a review as she seemed nice, but I feel it was inappropriate behaviour.”

Dear Marie, Thank you for the feedback. I see you started tuition with this tutor in 2019 so we are a little surprised you have left feedback now on this platform which is to review the running of First Tutor's website, customer service etc. and not the service the tutor has provided. I see that you didn't contact us via email to let us know there was a problem. We do have a system where you can leave feedback for the tutor on their profile and obtain another tutor free of charge.
