“It made it easy to find someone relatively near to me, who you can chat to through the website, which made sorting out availability easy. However you do have to pay a fee of £7.99 to get the tutors email/phone no./address which I presume the website gets? Which is not loads, but I guess it's either that or millions of adverts!”

“Laura is very gentle and always smiling. She is also energetic which keeps you motivated to keep learning and work hard ! Really liked my first session with her and I am looking forward to learn more !”

“Very pleased with the tutor I found for my granddaughter through First Tutors. The process in finding someone nearby was very easy and the first session went very going well and my granddaughter has already learnt a lot and gained confidence.”

“Intitial fee charged by FirstTutors is way too expensive. Location services on website are too restrictive and not accurate which means your choice of Tutor is limited”

Dear Chris, Thank you for your feedback. We only charge a one off payment to connect you with your tutor. This helps cover the cost of reference and identity checks so that you can choose with confidence. Unlike traditional agencies, we do not charge a fee for every hour a tutor teaches. “We are now a few months in with Rhona providing excellent tutor sessions for National 5 Maths. Rhona has taken time to establish where the knowledge gaps are and work through this list to build confidence. My daughter has gone from feeling completely overwhelmed by Nat 5 Maths, literally sobbing her way through the exams previously, to a supersonic 78% in her prelim last month with Rhona's expert help. The results speak for themselves.”

“Difficult to find through search engine but contacted through word of mouth . Clear detailing of tutors available but was little confused at how to contact tutor initially . Had to ask the actual tutor how to respond but once found out it was fine . Once paid the initial fee it was plain sailing from then on . Thank you”
