“Unfortunately, I assumed that by requesting a date for delivery, it being a birthday present, that it would be honoured. This was not the case, and the parcel arrived two days later, which was disappointing.”

I can see you ordered after our cut off time for same day dispatch on 7th April , so your order was processed and dispatched on 8th April on a Standard 1-3 working day delivery service which you selected. I can see from the tracking information that your order was delivered on 12th April. We do offer Next Day delivery if you order before 2pm. I'm sorry to hear you thought the products were so-so. “I ordered the gift box of cheeses and added a selection of prosciutto as a birthday gift for my brother, so I don't know how it all looked. The only thing was, I'd specified 24th April for delivery so that my brother would be at home to receive it, and it has arrived a day early, while he was out at work.”

“I ordered from The Cheese Merchant: the cheeses very good (would be for the price:), but the communication was very poor. After a confusion over delivery dates and delayed e-mail communication, they agreed to add something samll in the box to make up for it, but never did. Also, it was a present, bu not only it was delivered on time, but also the message which are wrote when making the order was missing. Defeats the point of shopping with small companies - you pay more, but the service is not personal and it is less reliable, than a big retailer. Apart from the quality of cheese - disappointed.”

“The product I received was not the one I ordered. I was offered a replacement, but this would have arrived too late for the occasion. The quality and packaging of the product I received looked fine, but more care needs to be taken with orders.”
