“So far I bought 2 cultures from Freshly Fermented - kombucha and jun tea. Purchasing from these guys is a breeze, they're always upfront with stock availability and, considering current circumstances, delivery was timely. Communication is great too, I didn't need to contact them - all info was provided before I had to ask - but I have no doubts any issues would've been dealt with swiftly. On product side - cultures arrived happy and healthy. This is my first attempt at home fermenting, thank goodness for Freshly website - they have guides for all cultures on there. All in all great company and service. In Arny's words - I'll be back.”

“I ordered the freeze dried soured cream, buttermilk and creme fraiche starters. Each came to life as described in the instructions. I am from Germany and the buttermilk is exactly as I remember from home, slightly tart and thick - not at all like the stuff you can buy in the shops in the UK! The soured cream and creme fraiche are also wonderful, and it's nice to be able to make these at home as & when needed (especially in the days of COVID!). I have been using all three for six weeks for so now and they get better, thicker and tastier with each new cycle. Very pleased!”

“I felt I had to expand on my previous review as I have tried a couple more new starters...Just out of interest. This is a very helpful company that gives advice and information I have always been in a home that makes yogurts and other "Old Fashioned" kitchen products.Even so, I have learned more about using different yogurts etc..The starters are good and have produced excellent yogurts with a wide variety of tastes. I don't have fancy equipment just a thermos type container and Grandma's method of production that I was taught when a child.it's good to have a consistent provider of quality heirloom starters to try.I highly recommend this company,especially if you are just starting to DIY.”

“Product arrived quite quickly, and I knew exactly where to go to get instructions on what to do with my grains, so I’ve got no complaints. It’s only been just over a week since I’ve been making kefir now, so hopefully the slightly watery phase will be over soon.”

“Excellent service and product. It actually made up a number of sourdough loaves. First time I have ever baked bread and Freshly Fermented held my hand all the way on this little project. Probably out of my depth buy jumped in hands first and everything worked out fine. Have some starter left in my fridge to use again and will be baking again in the not to distant future. The smell and the taste on the sourdough was to die for. Loved it very, very much. Would highly recommend your products to anyone. Best, Polly Pauline ☺️”

“Kefir grains, came in a small composable plastic bag, I ordered the smallest portion, as from experience it soon multiplies, so I need to start giving it away. Not noticed benefits yet, but I know it works and is a brilliant source of great gut bacteria.”
