Furniture Village only stress!!! Order number: 649100608 I order the sofa in May. Was delivering 20/09/21. Ok because a corona time I understand but all experience with the delivery OMG 😱 I sent this to costume service. After many months of waiting, the sofa was delivered, but unfortunately, the delivery was very stressful and not a pleasant experience for me. The delivery guys were very rude and bordering aggressive with their attitude and approach, not friendly at all. From the beginning, how they handles the sofa was appalling. I mentioned to them that it did not look like the sofa would fit through the door without having the arms removed, which is easily done as they slot in and out. So they continue to unbox the sofa in the street and ignored my advice, all was ignored and they continued at force to wedge the sofa through the door. The sofa was not covered or protected in any way. They finally decided to remove one arm but by this point, they had already scratch one hole left of the arm (side support). See photo. The damage to the side support arm could have been avoided with a little common sense as I suggested at the beginning. I am now left with a damaged sofa, a sofa that is meant to be new and I must add was not cheap is now damaged and I do not accept this. This is not what I paid for. I said to the guys that they should return it but they insisted they had to deliver it and I call Furniture Village and deal with the additional hassle of my new sofa being damaged. When I raised this to the delivery drivers their attitude towards me was appalling arms flying in the arm by the younger guy who in all honesty was very intimidating and rather aggressive in his approach. Again this just added further frustration. Do you vet these 3rd part companies? The delivery drivers had a total disregard for the item they were delivery and this was also evident by how it was stored in the van at the very beginning. The word cowboys springs to mind. I ask the delivery driver to check over the sofa upon his departure and he quickly advised that was not his job to do, I ask that he at least take photos of the damage they had caused which it appeared they did, but I couldn’t see in detail the photos he had taken. I am subsequently left with a new damaged sofa, damages walls (see photos) door forced at so much pressure they force the door handle through the wall. (see photo) This whole experience was appalling, the worst customer service/delivery I have ever experienced In my life. There was zero professionalism and very unpleasant behavior.

Bought a dinning table. Came damaged. Was told would get a replacement. It's been 8 months and still no replacement. No correspondence to my emails and mail box is full so can't even leave a message on the phone. Extreme poor customer service.

There isn't a rating low enough. We bought stools online believing their promise that you could return to a store. Guess what? Can only return to a depot which is further away. Returned stools on 12 July. Still don't have a refund (28 September) despite dozens of calls (same story every time - wait 3 to 5 days) and letters (to company officers - no response whatsoever). How this company is still in business is beyond comprehension. Please don't make the same mistake we did!

Your company is misleading selling fake leather, then have the cheek to not even send out an independent person to check it out ,don’t buy from this company it’s too fake and will soon go bust.

DO NOT USE OR TRUST THIS COMPANY Lies,Lies and more Lies. From the telephone gofers to the Online General Manager Scott Taylor, the company is a complete joke. You all know the story by now , so I won't bore you with the details. Take your money , promise delivery, don't deliver. Promise refund, don't refund! Scott Taylor, the promises you made to me, you don't deserve a job, never mind being manager.

Returned furniture on 17 August. Was promised refund in 5-10 working days. It's now 24 September and still haven't got my money. I have contacted them several times and keep being apologised to and say will get processed that day and will take 5-10 working days. Just keep being lied to. Absolutely appalling. I am owed £1007 and desperately need this money. I will be contacting trading standards for advice.

Waited nearlly 11 weeks for furniture, and when tried ringing kept getting cut off or automated service coming on saying mailbox is full...absolutely appalling .......would never recommend this place as it's a total disgrace and unacceptable what there doing!!!!AVOID AVOID

Worst customer service; avoid this company! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We bought a sofa from them 5 months ago. They messed up with delivery 3 times. Once it's been finally delivered it was damaged. After trying to arrange a repair for a month we are just giving up now and just want to process the return and refund not to deal with them ever again!

We purchased 8 Phoenix chairs during 2018, after 2 years and two months we noticed the chair material was peeling off, these chairs were not cheap and should have lasted at least 10 years before any wear would be noticeable especially as they have rarely been used. Having contacted customer support they stated chairs were out of warranty despite there being faulty material not fit for purpose used on these chairs. Since telephoning customer support all 8 chairs have deteriorated and potentially only fit for the skip.. Inhave contacted furniture village a second today who after much Persistency on my behalf in my behalf have escaped the complaint which I have been informed will generate a call from a supervisor on Monday 20th Sept. Will await to see their response , in my opinion if a retailer is doing their job correctly in providing reasonable customer care they should at least contact the manufacturer / supplier to explain the situation and then between themselves decide on the correct way to successfully resolve the issue. We await with bated breath!

Purchased soft 3 months ago have complained had so called technician round changed cushion terrible attitude spoke to store someone calling me back they never return calls understand everyone busy so don't say will call and not bother.definitely not the same as one on shop. Sales assistant reccomended we upgrade our cushions absolutely Terrible. The after care is shocking there not bothered .

Really wish I had read the reviews before we purchased Petit sofa, armchair and puff. Waited for delivery since May and what a letdown when it arrived. Not the same quality as the one in the showroom. Feels like MDF and plastic. No assistance from service department. Complained by email, twice in store, twice on phone. Store manager called to house and awaiting his comments. Strongly recommend you look elsewhere. Bought suite last year from Stoker's and product and service was excellent.

Absolutely terrible service I received a power recliner on 26.08.21 when they were setting it up they noticed 1 of the power leads snapped they advised that I take a picture and they did too I called with the complaint and forwarded the picture I was told it would be dealt with urgently and would get a call , following day I called again to then be told that it's not an urgent matter and to wait 3-5 working days ,3rd September still waiting so called again to be told that there's a queue and other people waiting before me ,I advised that I did not pay money for damaged goods and wanted to talk to a supervisor the call handler became cheeky saying why do u want to talk to them they will tell you same I insisted I want a supervisor who I eventually got I told her everything and explained that I was sick getting told different things and also I told her I would like compensation ,she advised that she would put on my account o should be compensated and also to give it just a few more days ,5th sept I had a voicemail saying that an engineer would be out no date given so I called and the call handler male was very abrupt with me I said I need a date of when engineer would be out as I should not be expected to guess ,he told me I would hear from them by 8th September ,today is 9th September still no one been in touch so I called to be told there is a delay and wait to hear from engineer in a week I told her it's not good enough I want to talk to a supervisor or manager to be abruptly told there's none ,she didn't want to hear me out kept talking over me then eventually said she will get a supervisor to call me a hung up on me .I'm absolutely disgusted in the way I'm being treated ,and I will be sure never to shop with them again!!!

Ordered table and chairs September 20. Delivered 25 January 21, table arrived damaged. Delivery man ordered replacement plinth. 8 months later STILL no replacement. NO ONE HELPS. Tried phoning, promises made, no action happens. Messaged managing director, still no response.

I placed an order for a table and chairs, sideboard and nest of tables in June. The table and sideboard were delivered in July even though I wanted to wait for the rest of the items they would not hold onto them for me. I had to therefore get rid of my old table and chairs, but am now left with a table I cannot use as I have no chairs. I have left numerous messages on the phone but nobody rings back. Wish I had read these reviews before I went to this company.

Having just found the reviews section to write a scathing report on Furniture Village online, I feel it a complete waste of time to do so, having seen the multiple reports of similar customer service. Therefore, all I will say is, even after a discussion with the general manager Scott Taylor, of promises to resolve our issue by 5pm that day, I didn't even get a return phone call. An absolute disgrace!!! Ps Is there any positive reviews on any pages of this site?

I bought a Marina sofa and I’m absolutely sure the seat cushions are not the same as the model I sat on many times in the showroom, I’ve been talked to like I’m an old lady who couldn’t remember what I ordered and this very expensive sofa is awful quality, used by only myself , occasionally I ordered something I considered would last many years but looks awful already The marina is made by furniture village so I can’t ask manufacturer for information and the sofa has been removed from the showroom as one of the salespeople told me because of this problem

I am really sad and disappointed to be leaving this negative review. As a previous retail store manager I understand ā€œwithout customers, you don't have a businessā€ I spent Ā£13,000 and paid in full for furniture I ordered on 9th March, six months later I am still chasing 6 items to complete the lounge and bedroom. I email, call leave message and ā€œNO ONE RETURNSā€ my messages. I understand and have been very patient due to covid, however I think it is disgraceful I haven’t been updated. I have waited on hold for over one hour then told to ā€œCALL THE STOREā€ I placed my order with. You can’t get through to store, no one answers your voice messages or emails. I have damaged furniture still pending a replacement along with the damaged items still in my home waiting to be collected six months later. REAL SHAME, as the furniture is beautiful…customer communication and service is the key to any business and something Furniture Village have failed to deliver! WHY HASN’T A SENIOR MEMBER OF THE MANAGEMENT TEAM, EVEN THE DIRECTORS asked the question, who is updating our customers of the delays?? Mr Furniture Villiage you can see the amount of orders outstanding with the dates they were placed! You have a duty as the director to save business not lose it to DFS where I have had to go to furnish another home.

What an absolute shower of the proverbial this company is. They do not answer the phone, they do not keep you updated with any delays, changes or issues with your order whatsoever. You have to chase them constantly if you want any info, and good luck actually trying to ever speak to anyone over the phone. Initially my order was delayed by several weeks, despite a promised 11 week delivery time. Apparently I was informed about this. No, I wasn't. Eventually, I was given a date that the item would be in their warehouse. This was then delayed by a week. Then I was given an actual delivery date. Which was then put back by 3 days due to an error; something about "paperwork issues" - it was them that gave me the date in the first place! I was promised a text the day before delivery giving me a time slot. Did I get a text? What do you think? On the day of delivery, I'm waiting around, not going out doing other things I could be doing, and I've still had no communication regarding delivery. So I spend an hour trying to speak to someone on the phone. Eventually I'm given the number for the Doncaster delivery depot, only to be told that apparently I'm mistaken, and the delivery date is a day later! What an absolute joke this company is from start to end. I completely regret giving these cowboys my money. If I ever have any warranty issues I'll probably just set fire to the damn thing and buy from elsewhere. I dealt with the Hull branch but I'd imagine they're all as inept as each other. Avoid at all costs.
